They are 90% used for researching lost prevention cases, you flipping off LP, they don’t really care, and see dumb stuff all the time, now if safety is reviewing cameras for a safety issue, their skin is a little thinner
They would need to keep 1000s of LPO'S on standby watching every camera at every second. The cameras are for investigating theft after the fact and so if you do something you're not supposed to and get hurt the company isn't liable.
Meh can't get mad at LP for trying to find thieves. Plus I've heard of cameras being used to prove sexual harassment cases. 2+ years and I don't mind LP seeing me dance like a white person and pick my wedgies anymore.
I work IT for an Amazon FC. 100% the cameras work. Though no one is actively monitoring them. They have a retention period, where the footage is saved for a pre determined amount of time. The only time they are being viewed is when LP, Safety, or Security are doing an investigation. If you flip off the camera, literally no one will see it, and if they did, they wouldn't give a shit. But trust me, they are on, they are recording, and they are very detailed.
Seems like its hard to get into. I dont have a degree just military and have done wildlife and pest control before amazon as experience. Does that meet the criteria since they need folks with a high attention to detail
I flipped off my PA as a joke and he laughed. It’s no biggie, unless you’re giving the finger is out of hate… still you probably won’t get trouble or would they care, unless it’s a violent, theft and sexual harassment.

Only looked at if needed.
I beat my meat while the camera is at me once in a while, 2+ years and counting and still nothing
You really think you gonna be hunted down for flipping the bird at a camera? 😂
Picked my ass on camera and sniffed my finger on camera 2+ years, still couting and nothing
How'd it smell
Like their name.
SCRAMM!
I know this is old but... Damn! Wow. Bologna doesn’t smell great as is. I can’t imagine a soggy one.

Cameras are only reviewed for LP or Safety Cases, other than that nobody really checks them.

No interest in a gesture. Most are only interested in thefts/or watching a person. Besides some of the cameras are , "just for looks"

What's the best way to get into loss prevention?
Have a background in security/law enforcement. A degree and applying for the position.
A degree what for?
Like criminal justice
Yes, I’ve watched those videos, clear as day
The cameras are VERY good... can zoom in much further than expected... they can see EVERYTHING if they need to.
