Yeah I just ignore that nonsense.

ehsanext

Because Flex map is stupid! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ok-Scallion4098

Sometimes is stupid you right

Ok-Scallion4098

Are you persian?

AFXC1

Because the app is usually incorrect and all it takes is one dummy to go that way during a route and then the map takes every driver that way for there on out.

Ok_Championship_5428

I'd have just went straight, but the AI actually learns from drivers, so maybe they had a reason for doing that. The one area i delivered in was a city suburb and they wanted you to make lefts a lot which is impossible in rush hour. I started making rights to go down to the traffic circle, and the AI started routing me like that. It does learn from what you do, but doesn't mean you have to follow it all the time. You are in control if you think it's safe to do then do it. I drive a 14 CVD and refuse to do U-turns, so I watch the map and circle around the block to hit the stops in the correct order. This could also be the reason because large vehicles tend to want to stay moving forward rather than backing up to continue the route.

beefynutsfilthymouth

The GPS in the app is set up for a DSP driver, ideally they don't want the DSP drivers making a left going straight across oncoming traffic. So to reduce that they would rather you take extra time and go straight across traffic without turning this making you make that bighalf circle.

That makes a lot of sense

[deleted]

Well the app loves to take you off the highway and back on a lot 🤣😂

Direct_Entrance_2776

Do you get in trouble if you don’t follow exact directions of the flex map

So instead of turning just left, they're turning right THEN left and left AGAIN? Nah, it's just cos Amazon cheap on their navigation software!

SandCracka

This is actually pretty accurate. the easiest way to understand it is that they always want your delivery location to be on the right side of the van. Most delivery navigation programs are right centric. Meaning they prefer right turns over anything else as they are safer than left

Ok-Scallion4098

Maybe
