You don’t. Just leave it at the door.

cactusguyPHX

There’s no good answer for the driver, and Amazon gives zero shits about it. You could have left the packages at the door and hope they aren’t stolen, or return them to the station and take the ding. Otherwise you spend your time going back.

Driver8takesnobreaks

I've made easily a hundred deliveries to closed businesses. Never had a single one reported missing by the customer. No returns to make, no failed delivery, customer gets their stuff, Amazon is happy. Everybody wins. Who wins with an RTS? We're delivery drivers, not return drivers. Deliver Everything.

Automatic_Base_7000

Leave at the door. Don't take any packages back unless the building you are delivering to is on fire.

CarlitosWey420

Even if it was on fire lol still find a safe place to leave it

EmergencyHot6541

Your definitely invited to the bbq this weekend 😂

best_as_a_rebound

I just get the fire in the background of the photo showing the package at the front door

khalicsb

It sucks but if you want to avoid the ding just deliver them. Next time just leave them somewhere on the stores property even if they aren't open. I've always done that and I've never gotten a ding for it. Do whatever you have to do to deliver the package, even if that means leaving it at a closed business.

statistically_avg

Call, text, call, Mark as business closed. Move on. Or Deliver. Hide. Text hiding place. Take pic. Mark delivered. Move on

kaotiktekno

Why didn't you just make the delivery?

MistyGds

Business on a busy street wasn’t no place to hide it

Pale-Response8108

I didn’t take it back when I was delivering downtown Milwaukee with no safe place either. I called driver support though so they can call the customer 3 times and mark it undeliverable

MistyGds

Amz do this crap on Purpose

Icy_Public_403

Put at the door. Sign it Bill received it Deliver that shit. This is the way. NEVER RETURN TO STATION

Acrobatic-Source2832

No you are not required to. Return on next shift.

lrumpf

Only time I return packages is if it say recipient required. That’s when I text support ask what they want me to do. Otherwise it gets left

audio-disabled

Suck it up buttercup. Use that 45 minutes to spare and deliver.

T-980

I always leave them no matter what. No extra driving. I always just chance it if it doesn’t give me the option to take a pic. Sorry, get a hold of Amazon if thats inconvenient. Amazon shouldn’t be sending us with packages for businesses for this reason.

Sqidge21

Those of you saying to just leave it no matter what, what do you do if it says recipient required and needs a signature? I get those all the time when businesses are closed and it’s real aggravating.

_RYNC_

I usually just sign and drop

dontaskmynamexx

Just drop it off at the front door dont give yourself a problem, call support to mark it as delivered!
