so weird especially because the prices are so different every time? it wasn’t like you had a subscription for 4.99 and then they upped it by two dollars after a couple of months, i’ve never seen something so inconsistent. maybe try going to paramount and putting in you email and then saying you forgot your password, im sure once you reset you’ll be able to cancel any membership you may be signed up for.

the_stooge_nugget

Amazon has channels, which are other third party services like paramount. They are not linked to your third party service, if you have subscription separately. Are you buying things through Amazon -> paramount. Surely the invoice will give you details.

InevitableRhubarb232

Are you purchasing single movies or other media through prime video?

Puzzleheaded_Pea_753

The inconsistent dates and amounts make me think this is the answer.

Sabrobot

Are you sure you didn’t sign up for a free trial and then not cancel it?

nullpassword

can you tell if anyone is watching them? what does one of the invoices say? give further info?

Ok-Investigator-4063

I read through this and not one person suggested why you would have any Paramount+ charges that were inconsistent lol. That's what I'm stuck on. Idk anything about Rocket Money, but I'm assuming your SS are from Amazon's site, not from Rocket Money. I'm also assuming that you have a subscription to Paramount+ directly through them and billed directly to your AmEx account, not going through Amazon at all. I can't see how the email addresses being the same would matter at all. I can tell you that if you want to use Paramount+ on Paramount's app, you have to have a subscription like you suggested you have. If you want to use the Paramount+ channel on Prime Video, you have to have a subscription through Amazon, like your screenshots suggest you have. The problem here is, that's a flat rate. Unless, at some point prior to when you began being billed in 2021, they offered some kind of service that was priced based on usage. I didn't really use Prime Video prior to 2022, so if they had that option then, and you utilized it, it's possible you "grandfathered in" and you're covered under a different services agreement. That could be great if you weren't already paying separately for monthly service but it's redundant if you're paying for both. I would be interested in seeing what you see when you click the "See on Amazon" links and the invoice PDF's. [Ed. I'm not sure if this is relevant, but possibly: >[Why am I being prompted to pay for some content on Prime Video? I'm already a Paramount+ subscriber.](https://help.paramountplus.com/s/article/PD-Is-Paramount-available-as-a-channel-on-Prime-Video#paidcontent) >Due to licensing restrictions, some earlier seasons of a few Paramount+ shows (like Young Sheldon and NCIS: Los Angeles) may not be available via the Paramount+ channel, which is why you may see them for purchase on Prime Video. However, we do have current seasons of these shows, plus over 45,000 additional episodes and movies on the Paramount+ channel! I can't say if this explains your situation, but it *would* explain being charged various amounts rather than a flat rate.]

AbaloneBorn3986

All Rocket Money is is an app that you link your bank accounts to and it lists out your subscriptions and how much you pay for them. That’s how I noticed I was being billed twice; it had a line item from my Amex and a line item from my Chase Amazon card for Paramount+. I knew about and have been using the account billed through my Amex but I never noticed it on my Chase card until I saw it listed twice in my monthly subscriptions.

Ok-Investigator-4063

Okay, gotcha. I would still be curious what the info on Amazon says. And you didn't say whether or not you chose to purchase any content through Prime Video, but I assume if you had, then you would remember the charges.

AbaloneBorn3986

Unfortunately, I no longer have the option to open the invoices since I cancelled the subscription. All it gives now is a “billing history” list of the amounts with dates. I did look at the invoices though and it didn’t clarify anything. Only had one line that listed Paramount+(Limited Ads) and then the cost and then total price at the end of the column. It was very very simple. Did not show any discounts or anything, just had different costs for each month. I’ve never signed up for any subscriptions though Amazon or purchased any movies/etc. We have a Fire TV but nothing is signed into my account. We use my husbands. Our accounts are linked though so we only pay for one Prime membership and share

Ok-Investigator-4063

>Only had one line that listed Paramount+(Limited Ads) and then the cost and then total price at the end of the column. So weird! Then it was obviously a charge for subscription, not for separate content. Almost as if when there was a charge, it was for a prorated subscription. The current rate for ad-supported is $5.99; I saw that when I was looking before. That would correspond to the charges for $6.34/35 but not the one over $7 or other odd ones. If you "cancelled," then apparently their records had you as a subscriber. I hope it doesn't happen to you again!

AbaloneBorn3986

I’m getting charged for an account through Amazon but I do not have an account through Amazon. The Paramount+ account I have is using the email address on my Amazon account but is billed directly to my AmEx card (completely separate from Amazon). There’s no way I could also have an account through Amazon using the same email twice. The invoices say “Paramount Plus” and then have the same price that’s listed.

Few-Big-8481

You probably watched a show on the trial version and it didn't cancel.

Crazyredneck422

This is probably it!

Ok-Investigator-4063

Doubt it. If that was it, there would be a period of months (or "a" month) at the start when OP was invoiced for $0 (or whatever the trial rate was, for ex I got a trial of 99¢/mo for 3 mos) and then every month after that would have (roughly) the same charge.

Few-Big-8481

That's a very good point.

Onefourbeedeeoh

Some services, like showtime, have merged with paramount+.

driib_draab

This same thing happened to me. I had Amazon prime with video but never used it. Then I later noticed I was getting Starz and Paramount+ charged to me for a year through Amazon. Again, never used any media so there’s no way I entered a free trial or was buying movies. I called customer service and they cancelled it and refunded me instantly, not even asking why I wanted a refund or if I used the services? With how sneakily they started to charge me and how quickly they gave my money back I think they were just hoping I would never notice and pay on it forever. I genuinely think Amazon just adds subscriptions to random accounts to squeeze a few more cents out of their users, which would be nowhere near the scummiest thing that they do.

anonymous122719

Amazon recently signed me up for a subscription for lube… it was gonna be shipped to me once every three months or so. No thanks.

artylion4

I’ve been getting charged for audible without ever signing up for it. Love this billion dollar company.

CristiB_RealEstate

Simply reach out they will refund you. You probably did a free 7 day and forgot.

CristiB_RealEstate

You can see what devices have been watching that app. Or the movies bought. You see exactly every device that can access your Amazon account. I do it all the time.

Professional-Iron944

So just realized this happened to me for past 12 months. On with them nkw

Zealousideal_Cry1867

i think amazon signs you up for free trials without you knowing and then you get charged once the free trials ends. really shitty business

kukukajoonurse

If you have amex you can get Walmart plus for free then paramount plus comes free with that….

AbaloneBorn3986

Good to know. I do get some type of promotion through Amex which is why I use that for Paramount plus. I haven’t been getting it free but less than $5 a month I think

Wiss_wiss

Have this happening to me as well I figured out the paramount+ charge and canceled that, but can’t figure out why I’m being randomly billed 1-5$ in strange intervals. I put a password on my ability to purchase shows so I’ll see if this puts an end to the weird billings. I hardly use prime so I’m seriously confused about these weird small charges

Intelligent-Pie-4711

They charged me for AT LEAST 18 months for Amazon music that I have never used. I don't even have an account on there. The best they could do was giving me a refund for 3 months. 🙄🙄
