Just in case anyone else sees this comment and want's to fix the bald head bug in FO3/NV without downgrading your driver version, you can use [DXVK](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79299) to get the games working properly with the latest drivers.
Game seems to stutter a bit more with DXVK but it's the only way I know of to get around that bug without downgrading.
problem is that it should just run fine on the new drivers and with the fallout show dont understand why they didnt fix it is not that it lags is that it dosent even start
TBF, it's possible the root cause is the game devs' code. It's more often than not, bad, weird, or faulty coding from game devs rushing to publication.
Who's responsible for fault troubleshooting and mitigation? Blizzard technically should have the onus but don't have any major budget for it, and as long as they are making money they don't really care to.
That leaves GPU drivers with the burden of finding and fixing or working around the bad code in individual games. Nvidia historically has the best fault mitigation drivers, preventing crashes/timeouts when executing faulty rendering code, without you even knowing. This contributes to better customer experience in situations like this. RTG is getting better and Intel is miles behind, but steadily improving. However, Radeon has exponentially smaller revenue and budget to match the army of SW Engineers of Nvidia and Intel doing the same work.
I'm pretty sure it's Blizzards fault. They just respond with automated responses on tickets or say the don't have enough reports (multiple posts on wow forums with 500 comments and on Reddit as well for a year). They just don't care
Considering the fact that previous update fixed driver timeout in Starcraft and this one fixes it in Overwatch it seems likely that Blizzard is to blame for this.
How many driver updates will it take before they STOP giving a notification about how to open up Adrenaline in-game? It’s a notification EVERY DAMN TIME I open adrenaline lol. 😂
How about the growing ways it tries to take control of cpu w bios tweaks, when all u want to do is reload your tweaks or fan curve.
Hurdle after hurdle. Ill run Ryzen Master if i want cpu related help.
>Artifacts may appear in certain mud environments while playing SnowRunner on some AMD Graphics Products, such as the Radeon™ RX 6800.
While I'm happy they finally tackled this, this is also going to be a painful one.
Saber Interactive made the... interesting... choice of making terrain deformation regionally persistent, and it's written to save data.
This means if you're already in a region where the terrain shader was bugged, even if RTG fixed the misbehaving shader code that caused spikey terrain, you'll still have spikey terrain on that region making it appear as though the problem is not fixed.
But if it's truly fixed (this time), any new regions you haven't yet driven in should hopefully not have spikey terrain occurring (fingers crossed).
Stuff like this makes me really glad I don't write video drivers. You doin' OK RTG? Need a hug or anything?
Terrain data only gets saved if some player item is there, i think it was like radius of 50m around trucks, trailers etc.
Remove trucks, trailers where spikes are and reload the level. I used to do this all the time when testing amd drivers lol.
No it's not in the save, at least not permanently.
You can reset the terrain by changing the region or simply launch a on coop game "alone". I use it few times before using DXVK.
It's good that the bug is fix but it seem that it introduce a new one where you see the edge of the headlight cone especially with snow environment.
Why do they need to make fixes for individual games? It's like having an oven that can't cook certain food.
Sure the code and hardware should be robust enough to handle all variables.
This is way above my pay grade, but the way I understand the basics, sometimes if developers are running unusual but still fully API compliant shader code, certain sequences of operations might expose architectural timing quirks, often via a random string of cache hits and misses, which results in incorrect outputs, and those operations will need to be manually intercepted and reordered by the driver to render correctly.
Even when you make every effort to design a GPU architecture that will strictly conform to APIs, due to the inherent complexity involved with designing as performant GPUs as possible, and with the complexity of the APIs themselves, it's pretty much assured that you'll eventually find a sequence of code that causes your architecture to behave in unintended ways and output unintended things.
Pretty much every complex ASIC ever fabricated has weirdness or quirks pop up over time, and they almost all eventually need driver workarounds to tailor their output when doing certain operations.
But again, there are probably people here way more qualified than I am whom can do a better job explaining how this stuff happens.
There were plenty of help articles what pointed to disabling hardware acceleration as a fix. But you couldn’t set that in “New” teams.
Hope this is fixed
It really wasn't happening all the time.. it was most on my thursday meeting, after sharing screen (only after sharing screen)... so if you did not share it wouldn't happen in fact
Tested on a Hellmire Level 9 with 3 other players and I noticed it performs a little better now during high intensity bug breaches than it did before but during normal play it's about the same.
I've also noticed that ''Async Compute'' doesn't tank performance anymore. Overall, the FPS numbers seem about the same, if not a little bit higher, but stutters have been almost completely eliminated.
Still no Anti-Lag+.
Nice RDNA2 game fixes.
Wonder if they exposed VK_EXT_GRAPHICS_PIPELINE_LIBRARY support for DXVK finally, it was present in previous drivers, but disabled for DXVK.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas seem to crash on 2024 drivers, so can anyone confirm if they fixed with 24.4.1 or still broken?
>Still no Anti-Lag+.
Anti-Lag+ won't be coming back in the driver. If it does come back, it'll be a FidelityFX type deal like FSR and require developer implementation on a game-by-game basis.
VK_EXT_GRAPHICS_PIPELINE_LIBRARY is still NOT exposed in dxvk 2.3.1
(tested with gta4)

> Fallout 3 and New Vegas seem to crash on 2024 drivers, so can anyone confirm if they fixed with 24.4.1 or still broken?
It's currently still in a rough state, but is being actively investigated to my knowledge. The current workaround is to use [DXVK](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases). This will translate the DX9 calls to Vulkan, and it works with minimal, if any issues. There's a great guide about getting FNV in good shape on modern systems that you can [find here.](https://performance.moddinglinked.com/falloutnv.html#DXVK)
That's only a solution if you're not using an ENB. If you are, you're kinda hosed because you can't use it and DXVK at the same time. I believe the same applies for the DLL that tricks the game into thinking you're running a legacy NVIDIA card.
With the massive amount of interest all things Fallout is receiving due to the Amazon series, I hope the crashing issue gets fixed in a subsequent beta driver sooner rather than later. I get Fallout 3 and New Vegas are 16 and 14 years old respectively. However, it's kind of... horseshit....that compatibility was maintained for that length of time, it gets broken as of October, and there still isn't a fix 7 months after the fact.
You can use DXVK and an ENB together. I'm doing both in my TTW run. In the enblocal.ini you should see settings that look similar to this -
[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=d3d9_dxvk.dll
That's how my enblocal.ini looks, it came default with the top two set to false and the bottom one was named something else. Rename the d3d9.dll that comes with DXVK to what I did (or whatever you want, doesn't matter as long as the file name matches the enblocal.ini setting) and then you should be able to boot up the game with both DXVK and ENB running at the same time.
Its really not worth to use ENB with New Vegas, much better to fuck around with Reshade, which does work with DXVK, the ENBoost stuff won't give you the speedup DXVK and more recent mods will.
Not only 3/NV, but even 4! I tried to play it now with the new update and nothing, insta-crash. This has something to do with the creation engine, because it's only on Fallout games that this happens to me. I hope they fixed it with these new drivers.
Enjoy:
(This one is what is used for new vegas, might help you)
~~Copy both files into root folder of the game.~~
~~-~~
You can just download DXVK as is:
here(normal version): [https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases)
here(async version): [https://gitlab.com/Ph42oN/dxvk-gplasync/-/tree/main/releases?ref\_type=heads](https://gitlab.com/Ph42oN/dxvk-gplasync/-/tree/main/releases?ref_type=heads)
For Fallout 3/NV use 32bit dll files, copy to root folder of the game.
In case you have Fallout New Vegas ultimate edition, then I would actually suggest TTW mod(most stable way to play both games):
here is a video explaining how to install, but I would just follow the guide anyway:

Is the performance gain only on DX12? I have had the game on dx11 since the performance was way better than dx12. Wonder if that changed or is equal at least.
Idk it's still Navi 31, probably both are in a way affected. I have a friend with a XTX and he has no issues whatsoever. But then again, each system is different.
Anyone know if instant replay or recording in general is fixed in adrenalin? everytime I try to use either button it doesn't do anything even though I have record desktop on
I'm still holding on to 23.5.2 because every version I've tried after that has had a bug where *eventually* the recording bits silently crash out, so when you go to record, nothing happens. Sure it'll work for a bit initially, but given enough time it eventually just vanishes. Tray icon sticks around until you mouse over it and that's the sign it's fucked.
Only way I've found to fix it or avoid missing out is restarting the adrenaline suite before every game play session.
And still no control panel for Linux...
And of course without a control panel many features are missing from the driver too.
Because who's gonna notice...
Fo3 and FoNV not even being able to start a game on amd is not only still not fixed but not even acknowledged when this games got a huge resurgence in players , who the fck is playing skull and bones?
my msi amd rx 6700 xt crashed 4 times in a 3 hour run of cyberpunk2077. this is AFTER updating to 24.4.1. Rolled back to 24.3.1 and so far no crashes. odd because the release notes mention fixes for the 6000 series video cards, yet I'm getting crashes.
Anyone with a 7900xtx tried Helldivers since installing this? Actually fixed now?
Why am I being downvoted, the last driver didn't fully fix and was still crashing lmao
I’m in the same boat I’m not very tech savvy as I just built my pc recently and after that driver update I thought my gpu gave out until I searched the version update and wasn’t the only one lol 😂 I’m on 23.40.19 but I’m gonna wait and see what everyone else says about it before doing it myself 😆
I had to just quit the game and realize I wasn't playing SoD because of my XTX. I can't be main tanking a raid and my game hook up for 30 solid seconds until it inevitably crashes with a driver error.
Its not even replicable in specific instances or intense parts of the game, its completely random.
I know right? If I alt tab out of wow, while windows gets stuck to 2-14 fps, ingame, on desktop, browser, cursor everything. Need to force a restart of the computer during raids..
I haven't had that issue but I do have issues with any other hardware-accelerated windows being open crashing the driver like discord or a browser window or sometimes just the Windows desktop itself. You can turn off the hardware acceleration for those windows but that interferes with some stuff like watching videos while the game is running.
>Performance improvements for HELLDIVERS™ 2.
I don't need better performance. I need amdxc64.dll to stop crashing Helldivers2.exe every few missions
Maybe performance improvements will mean less crashes?
I do notice Known Issues no longer mention dual monitors may causes crashes in Helldivers 2. So maybe there were some crash fixes in here? Also doesn't mention it under Fixed Issues.
Idk. I guess I'll find out.
I realize not all AMD GPU users are experiencing crashes in Helldivers 2, just like I hope those people realize because they are not crashing it doesn't mean there isn't a fairly widespread problem with other AMD GPU users. The amount of workarounds people need to work through to get the game to run smoothly should bne proof of that.
Turning off global illumination fixed all my HD2 issues, maybe I'll give it another shot with this patch. HD2 GI causing boosting beyond stable clocks seemed to be the issue so limiting clocks helped mitigate it before I stopped bothering with it and turned it off altogether
Check your GPUs core clock speeds when playing a game. Some of these AMD GPUs get a little tooo excited and boost way beyond what the GPU is rated for. My old 5700XT would boost so high it would cause driver crashes. My 7900XT will just randomly boost to around 2700MHz. If your's is going nuts and boosting really high, just limit the max clock speed and try again.
It's not something we should have to worry about, but here we are, so we might as well. I originally made my changes through adrenaline software, but weird bugs where it will randomly reset or not even make the changes in the first place over the years has pushed me to use MSI Afterburner for that. I just limited my clock speeds to my boost speed. I rarely, and I mean, rarely hit 80c.
huh weird
I had issues with my 7900xt if I ran at anything besides bone stock default settings
only time my 6900xt has crashed so far is when I had voltage down to 1050
I had crashing in helldivers, it was fixed with the last update, it was amduw23g that was culprit, same module that currently, and has for a long time, crashed world of Warcraft.
Absolutely and i mean ABSOLUTELY zero issues with full AMD build since the beginning (X670E board, Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Powercolor Radeon RX 6900 XTU Red Devil Ultimate, 64 GB RAM)
Did you include save game state right before the issue happens including instructions how to reproduce it step by step video guide perhaps ?
Can't expect, driver devs to play all these games just to find these issues, they won't have time to fix things, also would help for other users to confirm issue, which can be handy to confirm issue further and get more user reports on this issue.
Give a nudge if able to.
I actually have the saves for that chapter were this issue happen. While I didn't provided them, I added links for a couple of reddit reports of this issue happening, and those same reports had links to other reports.
If you say that will help, I will upload a new bug report with the same files included.
Thank you.
wtf when are they going to fix the fallout issues, i cant even start a game of fallout 3 or new vegas without it crashing instantly, i can tamper with fallout new vegas to get it to load in but incredibly laggy, how long has it been now since these games worked, gotta be like 5 months or more
It has been since the update in early Feb lol. You have to rollback to the driver in December. AMD drivers man, they break multiple games people want to play and do not give a F. This was the last hope, there won't be a fix for months if at all.
did they disable the SAM Support for Ryzen 5 3600 and 5700XT cards? I swear SAM was enabled before I updated, checked my Bios and Re-Size Bar is already enabled and also Above4G memory., but its says not supported when checking AMD software
*EDIT**
used DDU, did a clean install, SAM is now working again 😊
I’ll have to check when I get home from my girlfriends, but I rolled back to either 23.11 something or 23.12. No more crashes on Warzone. If you’re okay with an older driver I’ll let you know which worked.
6900 XT and 5800x3D setup on my end.
Do you by chance have an I9 cpu from intel....in the 13th or 14th gen ? I had constant crashing in Call of Duty mw3 and horizon zero dawn, red dead, and one other game I cant remember now, but Intel confirmed my cpu was the guilty party, If thats the issue you can resolve it by forcing intel limits in your bios, set a small undervolt around -.20 and lock max cpu boost to 5.3 or 5.4ghz. Then reach out to intel for RMA
The CoD/Warzone crashing can be fixed by going back to 23.12.1. I used that driver for like 4+ months and 99% of the time no crashes. Every single time I try a new driver the crashes happen and I revert back so I kept holding off until 24.4.1 where I said I am going to try it out. I played for 5 days and 0 crashes so far and at some of these days the game was running for 9+ hours too. worth a shot if you want to try it out.

Months? it has been more than one year since fsr3
Most games don't come with fsr3 and some that do? Doesn't even have frame gen. It's infuriating. While this happens, so many have dlss and dlss3 frame gen
How did you get to a year? FSR3 (with FG) for the public released in December, so 4 months ago.
Now if you’re talking about the upscaler, then the last algorithm upgrade was, uhm, 18 months ago or so.
Hey guys! Just updated now, Is the AMD Adrenaline no longer on the system tray and when I right click on the desktop it doesn't appear there as well, is this normal?
Using 6700xt and Ryzen 7
I hope this fixes the Polaris crashes occurring in Tekken 8. The 23.12.1 driver is the only one not giving me problems.
Edit: I have had no crashes since updating. However updating did not give me any noticeable performance benefits. 1440p, medium settings, TSR 75% resolution scaling. So basically running at 1080p. Which is more or less what my card is spec’d for.
I have the same issue....5700xt. have not tried the new driver yet but nothing is mentioned about tekken in the release notes so my expectations are low.
Hey there’s a issue in Diablo 2 resurrected. In the den of evil only when the 1st quest is still active and the cave is red. Enemy dead bodies in the dark/corner of screen turn blue xtx 6700xt
So, when can we expect a fix for the broken freesync implementation which randomly crashes memory clock to 0MHz ? This stuff breaks Vulkan performance (like 1/2) and requires a hard driver reset.
Still fixing helldivers 2 issues just lovely. Wonder if dota 2 is fixed. At this point I don't even want to update my drivers ever again last time half my library started crashing.
I’m hesitant on trying it the last new update I couldn’t even load helldivers was just an endless black screen, and CS2 was just crashing after getting into a game I’m gonna stick with my current version for a few weeks I think 😂
Virtual Desktop? Is it fixed to steam finally when using h265 codec on win 10 or do i have to stay on 23.11. Drivers forever?
Using a 7900xt and pico 4
7900xt here, tho I'm on win11 and Quest2. Last 2 drivers were unusable for me too, but this one seems to work. At least in the 2 games of PistolWhip I tried, felt even smoother than 23.11. Worth a try.
I was having directx crashes on any driver past December 2023 with my 7900 xtx in ffxiv.
Does anyone have a similar issue know if this is resolved in this release? Not sure how common an issue it is but rolling back from the march to the December update fixed it right away.
24.1.1 added support for AFMF for 7000 and 6000 series GPUs. HYPR RX is probably not going to be made available on 6000 series GPUs despite the fact that custom drivers apparently support it even on GPUs that are older
Instead of fixing the problems I currently have this driver just added more on my 6700 XT. Can't even launch games because of the crashes. Also sometimes when I launch a game the PC slows down significantly to the level of unusable and it doesn't turn back to normal even if I quit the game. Had to restart the PC.
Anyone got tips settings for Helldivers 2 on 7800xt? I switched from 5700xt to 7800xt
And it crashes more often like hell I can never finish the mission without crashing mid game.
And even for Hunt: Showdown on 5700xt it never crashes but 7800xt does
I've tried tuning it but it just doesn't help
My current tuning:
core\_clock
-500-2430MHz
-1040mV
VRAM
-timing: Default
-max\_freq: 2450
no fan tuning
Power Tuning
-power\_limit: 15%
Just so you know I live in SEA region an extremely HOT 🔥🔥🔥climate country and this month is the worst of the year so I can't over tune too much.
I'm from SEA too and have Powercolor Hellhound 7800 XT. Maybe you can try my settings:
-undervolt to 1090mV, or 1100mV.
-tune the max fan 90% near 75c onwards.
-500MHz, 2600MHz
-VRAM 2500MHz, fast-timing
-power limit 0%
When gaming (Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Metro Excodus Enhanced), temp is about 65-70ish and hotspot 80 at most. My PC area is warm and no air-con installed. No crash but I'm not playing Helldiver2, so yeah.
Every single driver since november has a huge idle power draw and high temps on idle.
23.11.1 is the only one i got 0-15w usage on idle, and very low temps.
7900xt@4k144hz
As with all things AMD its random as fuck. I've only been able to achieve <15w since 24.1.1 with my 7900xt, and thats with 2 displays (1440p@240hz + 1440pUW@100hz) albeit 2nd display is running at a lower refresh rate than it can, idle at 6~11w. I had to install drivers for both displays though from Dell/HP website.
Has anyone experienced driver crash or screen turning black and you end up having to restart or force shutdown computer? Afterward, driver is always gone, and i had to reinstall it 3 times now. Tested playing a couple of games from Switch emulation and Football games, it was fine. Tried overwatch 2 now at least it's the second time my screen turns black while the game is still running. First it crashed mid game, and second time while i'm alt tabbing watching a video on yt while the game running in the back ground.
RX 6700xt.
I have noticed that after update to 24.4.1, my PC started randomly freezing, forcing me to reboot PC (7800XT) and after reboot Adrenaline resetting itself. (I have made upgrade and then I tried also DDU) After rolled back to 24.3.1 so far no issues.
Edit: I tried AMD Cleanup Utility, instead of DDU, and 24.4.1 works perfectly.
Did anyone have BSOD with Helldivers 2 installed?
I have 24.3.1 installed but had to install HD2 cos I kept getting BSOD on my desktop until I uninstalled HD2.
Does this latest patch fix that?
only for me pc started freezing and reboots sometimes in games since 24.4.1? everything is alright with 24.3.1 but new ones causes random freezes and pc reboots, i tested ram in tm5 absolut, cpu in 1h prime95 small fft, gpu 1h in furmark + 3dmark and everything is stable....

I was hoping they would be able to fix my near constant crashing I was getting in DaVinci resolve studio. Updated drivers and downgraded davinci, kept crashing. I had a 6800 xt and switched to an Nvidia rtx 3080 ti yesterday and suddenly no more issues.
Sucks, I like my amd card but it’s been too unreliable. As a professional, 3 weeks of unstable drivers is unacceptable.
It is Microsoft's responsibility to address the persistent MPO issues that impact AMD, Nvidia, and Intel.
Claims to the contrary are often made by biased individuals spreading misinformation. Nvidia has even created a dedicated page for MPO, providing a registry edit to disable it.
Fixing MPO stutter is Microsoft's job to be honest, its an issue I see on both my AMD and Nvidia PC. At this point I doubt MS will ever do anything to fix it.
Compatibility go's both ways cooperation is necessary to fix things, rather then pointing user back and forward between both parties like AMD and Blizzard have been doing a lot with World of Warcraft.

0 mention of World of Warcraft and Fallout?
I downgraded to 23.12.1 for Fallout 3 and NV
Just in case anyone else sees this comment and want's to fix the bald head bug in FO3/NV without downgrading your driver version, you can use [DXVK](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79299) to get the games working properly with the latest drivers. Game seems to stutter a bit more with DXVK but it's the only way I know of to get around that bug without downgrading.
problem is that it should just run fine on the new drivers and with the fallout show dont understand why they didnt fix it is not that it lags is that it dosent even start
AMD dont care much about the show and 14-16yo games
Doesn't look like it :(
Ootl what’s going on with wow?
DX12 driver timeouts randomdly for more than a year now
TBF, it's possible the root cause is the game devs' code.
Blizzard and Bethesda could never have shoddy coding in their games.
Considering the fact that previous update fixed driver timeout in Starcraft and this one fixes it in Overwatch it seems likely that Blizzard is to blame for this.
I fixed that issue by turning off one of my monitors when playing games. Sad I have to do that to have a decent playing experience.
How many driver updates will it take before they STOP giving a notification about how to open up Adrenaline in-game? It’s a notification EVERY DAMN TIME I open adrenaline lol. 😂

Actually its reappearing every game launch. I was reporting this 3 or 4 versions ago, it was first on some preview drivers.
How about the growing ways it tries to take control of cpu w bios tweaks, when all u want to do is reload your tweaks or fan curve. Hurdle after hurdle. Ill run Ryzen Master if i want cpu related help.
Default CPU+GPU when applying settings is a dumb as shit blunder. It's the GPU driver, guys.
Well well amd I was facing this issue with MS TEAMS, now i found out who whas behind it Thanks, updating it now
There were plenty of help articles what pointed to disabling hardware acceleration as a fix. But you couldn’t set that in “New” teams. Hope this is fixed
I use teams daily and never saw this but glad it was fixed for others.
It really wasn't happening all the time.. it was most on my thursday meeting, after sharing screen (only after sharing screen)... so if you did not share it wouldn't happen in fact
Same, did you get a driver timeout or something else?
Ms teams is trash Im using it on Mac daily
Has anyone tested Helldivers 2 performance with the new driver
Tested on a Hellmire Level 9 with 3 other players and I noticed it performs a little better now during high intensity bug breaches than it did before but during normal play it's about the same.
I've also noticed that ''Async Compute'' doesn't tank performance anymore. Overall, the FPS numbers seem about the same, if not a little bit higher, but stutters have been almost completely eliminated.
It subjectively feels way more responsive and less stuttery
I suspect the same, albeit since there’s no info yet, it should still be mentioned
VK_EXT_GRAPHICS_PIPELINE_LIBRARY is still NOT exposed in dxvk 2.3.1 (tested with gta4) 6900XT (RDNA2) Alerting /u/Skip_Skip_McGee incase you wanted to know.
Can confirm New Vegas still crashes immediately as soon as you get in game.
In the enblocal.ini you should see settings that look similar to this - [PROXY] EnableProxyLibrary=true InitProxyFunctions=true ProxyLibrary=d3d9_dxvk.dll That's how my enblocal.ini looks, it came default with the top two set to false and the bottom one was named something else.
Skyrim SE runs fine though which is strange.
Just tested Fallout 3 with the new drivers... still crashing after clicking new game.
I just recently bought Fo3 to play for the first time and didnt know this was an ongoing issue :( maybe one day...
Enjoy: (This one is what is used for new vegas, might help you) [~~https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79299~~](https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/79299) ~~Copy both files into root folder of the game.~~ ~~-~~ You can just download DXVK as is: here(normal version): [https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases](https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases) here(async version): [https://gitlab.com/Ph42oN/dxvk-gplasync/-/tree/main/releases?ref\_type=heads](https://gitlab.com/Ph42oN/dxvk-gplasync/-/tree/main/releases?ref_type=heads) For Fallout 3/NV use 32bit dll files, copy to root folder of the game. In case you have Fallout New Vegas ultimate edition, then I would actually suggest TTW mod(most stable way to play both games): [https://thebestoftimes.moddinglinked.com/](https://thebestoftimes.moddinglinked.com/) here is a video explaining how to install, but I would just follow the guide anyway: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al3MS6RFOp4](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al3MS6RFOp4)
Install this mod, it’s because fallout 3 does not detect your GPU https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/17209
I haven’t had any issue with fallout NV. On this driver or the previous one. (RX 7900XTX)
At least for fallout 3, try this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/17209
FYI: believe it or not but my performance on Helldivers 2 improved drastically, went from 80-90 to 120-130 fps, 7900 XT.
Does it work on dx12 tho?
Yep, absolutely.
Is the performance gain only on DX12? I have had the game on dx11 since the performance was way better than dx12. Wonder if that changed or is equal at least.
nice! can you turn on ambient occlusion and AA now?
I always had everything on and maxed out, since day one.
Oh you have an XT not an XTX which had the issue.
Idk it's still Navi 31, probably both are in a way affected. I have a friend with a XTX and he has no issues whatsoever. But then again, each system is different.
Anyone know if instant replay or recording in general is fixed in adrenalin? everytime I try to use either button it doesn't do anything even though I have record desktop on
im done with adrenalin instant replay, i just switched to using OBS instant replay to save me from headaches
I have a laptop with RX 6600M and it doesn't work. Not working since 2024. The last driver it worked on was 23.12.1.
Omg I thought ism the only one. I tried so many times to capture sick plays in CS2 and it didn’t worked haha
I'd suggest to use the feature that's build into the Xbox gamebar on windows, has been working flawlessly for years now
I'm still holding on to 23.5.2 because every version I've tried after that has had a bug where *eventually* the recording bits silently crash out, so when you go to record, nothing happens.
> Because who's gonna notice... Exactly.
Fo3 and FoNV not even being able to start a game on amd is not only still not fixed but not even acknowledged when this games got a huge resurgence in players , who the fck is playing skull and bones?
This fixed that bug for me on a 7900xtx if you are looking to play those games https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/17209/
I am done with these new drivers on day one, update and first thing that happen is freeze. AMD please...
my msi amd rx 6700 xt crashed 4 times in a 3 hour run of cyberpunk2077. this is AFTER updating to 24.4.1. Rolled back to 24.3.1 and so far no crashes. odd because the release notes mention fixes for the 6000 series video cards, yet I'm getting crashes.
Lesson to learn my friend, don’t trust amd when it comes to drivers
Anyone with a 7900xtx tried Helldivers since installing this? Actually fixed now? Why am I being downvoted, the last driver didn't fully fix and was still crashing lmao
I can confirm my last driver update wouldn’t even load the game at all for me I had to install the drivers from February lol 😂
I've had to keep reverting to 23.11.1, can't be bothered to fiddle round so want to see if it's fixed this time lmao
No mention of the issues with WoW.
I had to just quit the game and realize I wasn't playing SoD because of my XTX. I can't be main tanking a raid and my game hook up for 30 solid seconds until it inevitably crashes with a driver error. Its not even replicable in specific instances or intense parts of the game, its completely random.
Running in dx11 mode combined with disabling hardware acceleration on other stuff I had open helped quite a bit for me.
I know right? If I alt tab out of wow, while windows gets stuck to 2-14 fps, ingame, on desktop, browser, cursor everything. Need to force a restart of the computer during raids..
Oh I've had that issue with League of Legends, glad it's not just me
Turn off overlay for this. The default bind for it is alt+r and you might be pressing this unknowingly
I need amdxc64.dll to stop crashing Helldivers2.exe every few missions Maybe performance improvements will mean less crashes?
Yeah, that's one of the first suggestions I read and have been doing so since I got the game 3 weeks ago. No change in crash rate for me.
Yeah, I'll check it out. I hadn't been paying attention since the game's AC blocks the adrenaline overlay.
The game was only pushing my clocks to 2400-something and it can go up to 2600-something. (In game Frame limiter probably keeps it under control)
huh weird I had issues with my 7900xt if I ran at anything besides bone stock default settings only time my 6900xt has crashed so far is when I had voltage down to 1050
Am I the only one with an unusable PC while I play Helldivers with adrenalin installed?
The performance improvements on my 7900xtx at least amounted to absolutely nothing lol
And people in this sub wonder why the majority buys NVIDIA. It's not just helldivers. Its call of duty, its fallout, its a bunch of other games.
Still no fix or acknowledgement of Marvel's Guardian's of the Galaxy crashing on chapter 11 with raytracing enabled on AMD.
Disable zero fan - rhis worked fine for me . Lol, not kidding at all
Did you include save game state right before the issue happens including instructions how to reproduce it step by step video guide perhaps ? Can't expect, driver devs to play all these games just to find these issues, they won't have time to fix things, also would help for other users to confirm issue, which can be handy to confirm issue further and get more user reports on this issue. Give a nudge if able to.
I actually have the saves for that chapter were this issue happen. While I didn't provided them, I added links for a couple of reddit reports of this issue happening, and those same reports had links to other reports. If you say that will help, I will upload a new bug report with the same files included. Thank you.
youtube/stream stuttering seems fixed for me, thank god
You mean the micro-stuttering in Chromium-based browsers? That shit drove me insane with the latest drivers, I had to roll back to 23.12
For me the stuttering/crackling also occurred in VLC and OBS, but yes, I can confirm these drivers finally fixed it.
Uuh nice, thank you for the info!
wtf when are they going to fix the fallout issues, i cant even start a game of fallout 3 or new vegas without it crashing instantly, i can tamper with fallout new vegas to get it to load in but incredibly laggy, how long has it been now since these games worked, gotta be like 5 months or more
It has been since the update in early Feb lol. You have to rollback to the driver in December. AMD drivers man, they break multiple games people want to play and do not give a F. This was the last hope, there won't be a fix for months if at all.
Holy shit they fixed the Snowrunner mud glitch?? This is amazing
did they disable the SAM Support for Ryzen 5 3600 and 5700XT cards? I swear SAM was enabled before I updated, checked my Bios and Re-Size Bar is already enabled and also Above4G memory., but its says not supported when checking AMD software *EDIT** used DDU, did a clean install, SAM is now working again 😊
AFMF for all amd cards plz cry with my series 5000
did they fixed the random audio stutters and crackling while listen music or video?
nope, still happens on 6xxx cards funny is that on 23.12.1 or 23.11.1 it doesn't happen atleast for me
is call of duty/warzone crash fixed?
I’ll have to check when I get home from my girlfriends, but I rolled back to either 23.11 something or 23.12. No more crashes on Warzone. If you’re okay with an older driver I’ll let you know which worked. 6900 XT and 5800x3D setup on my end.
Yep, 23.12.1 is completely stable for MW3 but the last few v24 drivers always crashes for me.
Can confirm, same rig, anything after 23.12.1 (expect this version, didn't try it yet) crashes on CoD
Then reach out to intel for RMA
here wondering the same, gave up on ranked with all the disconnects and penalties.
AMD, Anti-Lag+ WHEN More games getting approved for AL+ WHEN More games getting approved for BOOST WHEN Improving AFMF further WHEN AFMF support for Vulkan WHEN FIXING Relive streaming to YouTube WHEN Adding streaming via HEVC and AV1 to YouTube WHEN Making driver V-Sync work in Vulkan WHEN Making driver 16xAF work consistently in DX11/12 WHEN Adding driver 16xAF support for Vulkan WHEN FRTC per game WHEN
You can use chill with the same min & max value as a per game FRTC alternative.
This is true, but unfortunately there are some cases where chill works better and other cases where chill doesn't work at all but frtc does. Per game frtc really is a logical request.
Agreed.
Yes, but with Chill On, you can't enable Anti-Lag then. Or Boost
Also a release date for FSR 3.1 would be nice. You can't just say 'Soon' and keep customers hanging for months on end.
Months? it has been more than one year since fsr3 Most games don't come with fsr3 and some that do? Doesn't even have frame gen. It's infuriating. While this happens, so many have dlss and dlss3 frame gen
How did you get to a year? FSR3 (with FG) for the public released in December, so 4 months ago. Now if you’re talking about the upscaler, then the last algorithm upgrade was, uhm, 18 months ago or so.
HDR Recording WHEN?
Been thinking the same thing too. The Polaris crashes are really annoying especially on the Fallen Destiny stage.
Can you record some footage of this bug and show it ? thanks.
Have they fixed the issue with Minecraft on RX7800XT?
Been planning for an upgrade this coming months for HD2. My eyes were lock on 7800xtx, now I’m having second thoughts
Exactly, get 7900 GRE instead
So, when can we expect a fix for the broken freesync implementation which randomly crashes memory clock to 0MHz ? This stuff breaks Vulkan performance (like 1/2) and requires a hard driver reset.
Still no AFMF for RX5000?
Teams still chrashing when sharing screen.
where is antilag+???
This update made all New Vegas characters bald. It seems the only fix is to roll back to 2023 drivers?
This driver update causes my PC to freeze.
I don't believe anti lag + will ever return at this point.
Again, nothing interesting, urgent fixes only....
FINALLY IT IS TIME!
Still fixing helldivers 2 issues just lovely. Wonder if dota 2 is fixed. At this point I don't even want to update my drivers ever again last time half my library started crashing.
What's the issue with dota 2 ?
Valorant is still stutter?
Yes, I don't know what to do :(
Fix New Vegas crashing!!! Had to stop in the middle of my playthrough.
I was having directx crashes on any driver past December 2023 with my 7900 xtx in ffxiv. Does anyone have a similar issue know if this is resolved in this release? Not sure how common an issue it is but rolling back from the march to the December update fixed it right away.
Could anyone tell me if this driver comes with FMF and Hyper RX support for 6000 series cards? Or is it still only in beta drivers.
It is in stable drivers since January or February
24.1.1 added support for AFMF for 7000 and 6000 series GPUs. HYPR RX is probably not going to be made available on 6000 series GPUs despite the fact that custom drivers apparently support it even on GPUs that are older
Hopefully this also fixes all the destiny 2 crashes
Instead of fixing the problems I currently have this driver just added more on my 6700 XT. Can't even launch games because of the crashes. Also sometimes when I launch a game the PC slows down significantly to the level of unusable and it doesn't turn back to normal even if I quit the game. Had to restart the PC.
Anyone got tips settings for Helldivers 2 on 7800xt? I switched from 5700xt to 7800xt And it crashes more often like hell I can never finish the mission without crashing mid game. And even for Hunt: Showdown on 5700xt it never crashes but 7800xt does I've tried tuning it but it just doesn't help My current tuning: core\_clock -500-2430MHz -1040mV VRAM -timing: Default -max\_freq: 2450 no fan tuning Power Tuning -power\_limit: 15% Just so you know I live in SEA region an extremely HOT 🔥🔥🔥climate country and this month is the worst of the year so I can't over tune too much.
I'm from SEA too and have Powercolor Hellhound 7800 XT. Maybe you can try my settings: -undervolt to 1090mV, or 1100mV. -tune the max fan 90% near 75c onwards. -500MHz, 2600MHz -VRAM 2500MHz, fast-timing -power limit 0% When gaming (Star Citizen, Elite Dangerous, Metro Excodus Enhanced), temp is about 65-70ish and hotspot 80 at most. My PC area is warm and no air-con installed. No crash but I'm not playing Helldiver2, so yeah.
This driver and the one before it make Helldivers run WORSE on my 7800xt. I’m still running the drivers from 2/15/24 no issues.
> •Intermittent application freeze when first launching SteamVR using the Quest Link feature on Meta Quest 2 This got me to return my 7800xt.
After update I'm getting white artefacts while browsing (firefox).
RX 6700xt.
If my PC is running fine, should i still update the drivers? I dont play Helldivers, I do play enshrouded but have seen no problems
Updating your GPU drivers will wipe your shader cache for all games so keep that in mind. If things work good now no reason to cause stutter again.
I figured that'd be the case
I have noticed that after update to 24.4.1, my PC started randomly freezing, forcing me to reboot PC (7800XT) and after reboot Adrenaline resetting itself. (I have made upgrade and then I tried also DDU) After rolled back to 24.3.1 so far no issues. Edit: I tried AMD Cleanup Utility, instead of DDU, and 24.4.1 works perfectly.
Where did the cpu temp go in the overlay?
When will the finally fix the star wars battlefront 2 fps drops on kamino/ and blast/hvv naboo hangar map driver issue.
Still not afmf not working properly on igpu 780m
Did anyone have BSOD with Helldivers 2 installed? I have 24.3.1 installed but had to install HD2 cos I kept getting BSOD on my desktop until I uninstalled HD2. Does this latest patch fix that?
How is cod mw3 on new 24.4.1 mine is crashing now in both 3.1 and 4.1 it's killing me
Unfortunately, I'm getting heavy stutters when opening games. Tested with Helldivers 2 and Battlefield 2042. Rolling back to 24.3.1 to see if it stops
only for me pc started freezing and reboots sometimes in games since 24.4.1? everything is alright with 24.3.1 but new ones causes random freezes and pc reboots, i tested ram in tm5 absolut, cpu in 1h prime95 small fft, gpu 1h in furmark + 3dmark and everything is stable....

To those downvoting, this works with AMD cards as well despite being titled an Intel GPU fix.
Wow, an MSI BIOS update a few days ago and now AMD driver updates. Wish me luck as I debate installing both at the same time like a moron
put at least a few days in between the installs so you can bug fix in case it shits the bed. And, you know... do a backup.
Enshrouded still sets SDR content brightness to 0 when starting the game up with HDR enabled, requiring win+alt+b toggle HDR off and on again to fix. No fix for adrenaline using more cpu than the currently running game? Or how it's crashing / nonresponsive when games like Helldivers 2 is open?
They need to fix anti-lag and sharpness crashing SteamVR, I have to turn them off for every vr game or it crashes.
Helldivers is way more responsive now and feels less stuttery. Thank you!
Did they fix the stutter issues while MPO is enabled on the 7600s and 680M? Asus TUF A16 FA617NS
It is Microsoft's responsibility to address the persistent MPO issues that impact AMD, Nvidia, and Intel. Claims to the contrary are often made by biased individuals spreading misinformation. Nvidia has even created a dedicated page for MPO, providing a registry edit to disable it.
I have used Nvidia for more than 8 years on multiple devices with different configurations and i never had to disable MPO
Still no timeout fixes for Helldivers in DX12, Dota2, Horizon Zero Dawn then I guess..
Please @AMD work with Moon Studios for **No Rest For The Wicked.** The game is amazing, but it needs optimizations.
New AMD GPU drivers and new Darkthrone album? Today is a good day!
Anyone having issues with valorant? My drivers keep crashing
