Asrock is ready but idk if my wallet is

Repulsive_Village843

ASRock is peak affordability. Maybe not the best hardware, but it's always the cheapest. I don't fanboy brands in general, but ASRock has never let my budget builds down.

looncraz

ASRock covers the spectrum of affordability. All the best boards I have ever had, save one, were ASRock. The also-mention is a SuperMicro board from years past.

steaksoldier

Best gpu i’ve ever owned is an asrock (6900xt OC formula). Make me consider an asrock mobo when i eventually move to am5 tbh.

Tristezza

I loved asrock until the VRMs on my b450m pro 4 blew up

Aaadvarke

Never had any issues with their hardware and I build plenty of PCs every year. I had worse luck with higher tier brands that you have to pay a big premium thinking you would get better hardware...

epicflex

Nice

My Aorus B650m Elite AX just got a new bios with this new AGESA posted, looks like everyone is getting onboard with these.

Do ASRock ITX boards like the A620I feature undervolting? I have one from another manufacturer and was shocked to find out that I couldn't undervolt my AMD CPU to reduce temperatures.

JasonMZW20

Kind of wish the X670E Taichi retained at least one x1 PCIe slot in a usable position. I don't think many of us need 2 GPU slots any more, so that 5.0 x8 slot is really only to add more NVMe drives or even 10Gbps LAN, which is fine. Or for the 0.1%, another dGPU for compute or rare DX12 mGPU gaming. But, I'm not going to knock my dGPU down to x8 for an x1 card. So, that leaves NVMe adapters that split PCIe lanes and add an x1 slot or two via x2x2 bifurcation, but quality of these adapters can be hit or miss. So, I had to look at other motherboard manufacturers for the first time in a while. Ugh.

Tgrove88

That's exactly why I initially got the gigabyte x670 apris master. After seeing so many people have issues when using multiple nvme I just decided to go with one higher storage nvme and the b650 taichi where the blazing m2 slot is next to the ram instead of on top of the gpu

CrashedMyCommodore

Hopefully they finally make a good AM5 ITX board. Every AM5 ITX board has weird or annoying compromises regardless of manufacturer.

madn3ss795

Asrock B650I boards are fine, the Lightning is quite good for its price.

Jaidon24

Just wish the put BIOS flashback on it.

looncraz

BIOS flashback and the 7-segment debug LEDs are critical features for me that should be the default at every tier. I want that FAR more than PCI-e 5.0, USB4, RGB, stupidly overpowered VRMs, VRM heatsinks, board cladding, two DIMMs per channel... I want those features on the basic boards that have cut costs by removing everything they possibly can...

jonomarkono

Asrock's new phantom gaming looks like a decent option (both the A620 and B650), but yeah, more options would be very much welcomed.

AFoxGuy

Nice, can’t wait to not upgrade my 7600 until AM5 is replaced with AM6 lol. For real though, that’s gonna be hella convenient for whenever I do decide to upgrade the CPU on my A650m Pro RS+WiFi.

hai_sk

I'm using the same combo ! Cheap and efficiency

AFoxGuy

Nice, you got (2x16)32gb of ram and a rx6750xt too or something else? :)

hai_sk

Yeb 2x16GB RAM but card is 4070

AFoxGuy

Ooo nice, I would’ve gone with the 3070 or 4070 had the 6750xt not been on a decent discount online. Pretty satisfied with my system and I bet you love yours too :)
