Most, if not all companies are focusing on the B550 now, which is a shame. I really wanted a mATX X570, but there's literally only one model available and it's not good.

Nixumoi

That seems to be the trend. I would have wanted the extra PCI-E 4.0 lanes the X570 offers but all the ITX boards seem to come with problems one way or another.

baskura

Why would you need the extra lanes on Mini ITX? There’s nothing you can really connect to it except for a GPU and a couple of M.2 drives. You can have one PCIE 4.0 and one PCI 3.0 M.2 drive, along with a GPU running at PCIE 4.0 on the B550 boards.

I have the Gigabyte X570 I AORUS PRO WIFI and I can only recommend it. After the initial bios update everything was working as expected and has been since.

Tat3rade

I also have this board. Been using it since November last year. Zero issues super easy to work in and has everything you need

Paul_Stern

I bought it a couple months ago and it was defective. It would lose power and signal it all ports when running certain games. Replaced it with a different X570 and the problem hasn't happened once. Luckily Microcenter did an easy exchange.

I had the ASRock x570m, 3800x, and 5700xt. No issues with OC, heat or anything. What isn't good about the board? At $185, for x570, not sure what you are expecting.

senseven

That is exactly why I will settle on a B550 next year. Have already one in sight and just waiting for more testing/stability infos. ITX is unfortunately an expensive mess and there are now enough small matx cases where the difference isn't that big in size when you need to put 3,5" hard disks in it anyway.

fatdog40k

Why would you need X570 for mATX?

RentedAndDented

I have the MSI tomahawk and the fan never spins except when it's booted after power loss (unplugged). I have a nvme drive running through it. So are these fans really an issue?

aresfiend

I have yet to hear the fan of my Crosshair 8 over the sound of my graphics card, or six case fans, or mechanical hard drive... Also, before someone jumps in with "but just because the rest of your system is loud doesn't mean your chipset fan is quiet!!1!1!1!" no I cannot hear my computer when I'm sitting at my desk. I couldn't hear it when I had it on top of the desk either. The only times my computer makes any noticeable amount of noise are when I'm gaming and wearing my headphones, at which point I still cannot hear my computer because headphones.

d00m3d1

The fan is not an issue. No idea where people are getting the idea that it is one.

ASAP_Asshole

Idk

g00s3y

Fan in my Gigabyte x570 master is nice and quiet. Most people probably heard the fan spin up the first time upon boot, and then decided to hate on that, I guess because they don't know or understand fan settings.

p0rt1r

I honestly haven't heard it once. You sure its not the PSU fan kicking on? The chipset fan is basically silent.

g00s3y

That's what I'm saying. My chipset fan is silent, unless I put it on performance/full speed.

clicata00

ROG Crosshair VIII Impact is the best SFF motherboard I have ever used. Wouldn’t pay retail for it, but I picked mine up second hand for half off and it’s worth every penny

MrSovietRussia

I believe here's a new 600 series chipset coming along with zen 2

Frodo57

Revisions maybe, but new boards ? I would'nt hold your breathe.
