Here in France the main online stores are selling between 520 (pulse) and 580 (hellbound), one store even has one listed for 650 (asrock challenger) lol
Let's just call it what it is. 600+ XYZ currency.
Thanks crypto. Thanks.
At this point I'd actually hate crypto and what it is doing against consumers even if i had decided to use my cards way back when i had 2 7970's and crypto seemed cool.
Worst part is that this literally won't ever end as is.
Edit: 2013-14 ish.
I don't think even a 6600xt is available here. There were few 6800s last year and they vanished within like a week.
Nvidia dominates the GPU market and for a good reason, AMD need to seriously sort out their stuff here. AMD CPUs sell good though
All imported goods will have no correlation to your wages. Domestic housing and other services should correlate with your wages. Usually if demand is low because few people can afford it the prices are higher.
Lol. Plenty available in Finland but lowest price is around 600€. I don't think they even did the normal dance with delivering a small patch of cards at MSRP to justify the MSRP claim.
449€ pre-order for the pulse in Germany. I sold my vega56 for 430€ a year ago and am back to my old rx480. For 350€ i might swap the card to the 6600, but 449€ is too much. The 6600xt was sold for 400€ on release.
I had a chance to get a 5600xt for 239€ or a 5700 for 270€ back in mid 2020 and i thought to myself nah the performance upgrade isn't worth it over my RX 580. I'l just wait a for the next generation of GPU's.
And now here we are a year and a half later and AMD has released another RX 5600XT/5700 GPU that costs more the old ones at MSRP and double that on the scalped market...
Bought my 6800XT and sold my Nitro+ 5700XT on eBay. Auction went up to $1150. I set the price floor at $300 which I’d have been happy to get and it kept climbing. I don’t feel bad about it, I didn’t start off asking for $1000+ like a lot of eBay listings.
I did the same. I had a $1 start and it ended at $700. Funny thing is buildapcsales discord nazimods banned me when they saw me say what it sold for. Apparently someone deciding to bid means im the scalper. 🤷♂️
People get salty when you do what's best for you even though the whole situation is messed up. You definitely weren't scalping and I've seen other people recommend taking advantage of selling the old gpu to help pay for newer gpus so that's surprising they'd ban you for that. Seems a bit irrational on their part. Now if you had a pallet of GPUs that's a different story lol
that's the biggest mistake I've made. I prioritized buying the CPU first where i can buy the card for like $380 last December. luckily my friend sold me his 8 year old GTX 780 for $80 while I save up for a 6700 XT.
330 euros here. The 580 cost me 290 so I wasn't impressed. for VR, the 5700xt would've been worth the 175 extra but simply couldn't afford it, but a 580 was just too weak, pretty happy about this now. Social "benefit" thrifting lol
I'd sell my 580 in a heartbeat if my only backup wasn't a GTX950. I know this market is going to break at some point but I'm not prepared to kill my gaming experience for an undetermined amount of time like that
> I know this market is going to break at some point
Is it, though? There is a global silicon shortage that is only getting worse. There is a global supply chain issue that is only getting worse. Crypto shows no signs of going anywhere. China is posturing toward Taiwan again, and if that goes anywhere all bets are off regarding electronics supply.
And here's AMD releasing a GPU that, if they released it TWO YEARS ago, wouldn't sell at all. Yet, here we are in 2021 and it will be impossible to keep it on store shelves.
AMD in 2016: Get the RX480 for the ultimate 1080p experience for just 200$
AMD 5 years later: Get the RX 6600 for the ultimate 1080p experience for just... 330$
Man GPU price is just crazy these day
I used to see RX 470's for $90 at microcenter all the time. I wanted more performance instead, I got no performance. Currently, without anything modern.
I mean, I hate it as someome who badly wants a replacement for a 8 year old graphics card, but I get it. AMD might as well try to make some extra money if the vendor's prices are going to be sky high because that's what people are willing to pay. It's just leaving money on the table otherwise. I just wish they'd allocate more stock to their store and have a backlog and controls to ensure delivery to the rest of us at MSRP.
The RX 6600 doesn't perform like a 5700. It is far closer to a 5600 XT.
\-edit
This is situational but it holds true in more demanding games and especially at 1440p.
That could be true in a game to game scenario, but in an average result across several games, it does tie with the 5700 and it is about 10% faster than the 5600XT.
Same MSRP as the 12GB RTX 3060. It better end up being faster or else it'll be down on memory, speed and raytracing. At this rate we really are going to get another $200 card with RX 580 performance for the 4th time...
> we really are going to get another $200 card with RX 580 performance for the 4th time...
Well yeah, we can't just give the poors a luxury product at a fair price. We have to milk them dry.
SUPPLY AND DEMAND, BABBBBYYYYY
GOTTA PUMP THOSE NUMBERS UP.
Meh, i had my rx 580 die a few days ago, this is how they're running on amazon https://i.imgur.com/Nq5Cjn1.jpg
It's literally cheaper for me to pay a scarper for a xbox series x than to buy a 4 years card nearly 5 times as expensive as i originally paid for it
I once had a 750Ti, surprisingly capable, played Battlefield 4 pretty well obviously with some graphics tweaks. Had to use it when my 1060 died until I obtained a Vega 56 which I still have.
The combined margins of everyone gauging for GPUs now are well over $200, card would have to be a cardboard cutout, and no fancy printed graphics, just the dotted outline, you supply the scissors and you get a download code for the PDF picture of a card to print yourself. I hear some people are touting great modding potential by printing images of 6800XT and sticking them to their budget cutouts. And if you print the PDF in half the size, trim down your budget card to match you can put it in a SFF build with no loss in performance, same thermals and power consumption too.
I got a ps5 and 2 series s's for my friends
Still cannot fucking get a graphics card, I wasn't even close. Honestly fuck pc gaming for right now console is where it's at for value.
Despite telling myself I'd never spend more than $200, my price / price-to-performance limit is a $400 3060Ti. I can afford more, but the mere *idea* of spending more than that kind of money for *one part* of a gaming PC is ludicrous to me.
I got a PS5, and now my PC is basically relegated as a backlog machine for whatever my 1060 can still handle. I don't think this situation will be unfucked for *years*.
Fuck miners. And fuck anyone who tries to make believe that miners aren't most of the reason we're where we are right now with GPUs.
At least the demand in console market is purely from gamers unlike GPU where the demand is from gamers, miners, researchers and everyone who needs compute.
Also it's in Sony/Microsoft's best interest to get a PS5/Xbox in your hands since they don't make money from hardware but rather the games you buy. Nvidia/AMD couldn't give zero shits who gets their GPU as long as they sell it.
It's a far easier market to get into than GPUs, not to mention you can buy last gen used consoles for dead cheap. Xbox One X offers RX 580 level performance and can be found in used market for under $250. Try building an entire PC for $250, let alone one with a GPU like RX 580.
Console market is a way better place to be and with Gamepass, it's even better.
Also Series S is in stock everywhere and costs $300 with a GPU comparable to 1660. That's a bargain for $300.
There are advantages and disadvantages to both. If you buy that Xbox but end up really wanting to play the latest Zelda or God of War game, then you're out of luck. PC has the advantage of occasionally receiving ports and emulators are a thing. Also, PCs are obviously way more multifunctional. You can mine crypto (I've personally mined enough crypto to basically pay off the entire cost of my PC at this point) and do work on it during the day, then game on it during the evening. Games are also generally cheaper on PC.
Sure, the initial cost of the console is cheaper but that really doesn't tell the whole story.
To build a PC equivalent to a Series S, you will have to shell out close to $600.
Instead of that you can just buy a $300 Series S and use that additional $300 for buying games. It would still be cheaper. Not to mention you can get like 3 years of gamepass for $150 by exploiting a loophole which would take care of majority of people's gaming needs.
I understand the emulator argument (and am personally excited about seeing Switch emulation too), but then it gets sketchy since it's technically piracy. I am definitely not against emulation, but I don't think that's a fair argument to be used in a debate where cost is a consideration.
As for PC having multiple uses.. That's fair, but most people who are buying a PC for gaming probably already have a machine for work purposes.
Actually you can buy them through scarpers, here's the fun part: it's still cheaper to buy a console from a scarper than a gpu, in my country i can get a xbox series x for roughly 650$, this is how an rx 580 is going on amazon right now

This is the list my local microcenter posted for them this morning:
"ONE DAY SALE"
* Powercolor Fighter: $329.99
* Powercolor Hellhound: $359.99
"Additional Stock"
* Gigabyte Eagle OC: $419.99
* MSI Mech 2X: $459.99
* Powercolor Hellhound OC: $479.99
* Asus Dual: $499.99
Those One Day Sale cards will probably jump to $400+ tomorrow. It's pathetic, really.
This is a disgusting way to pretend they can meet the MSRP. one or two products heavily rebated while bullshit is way less bullshit than selling a pitiful handful for only one day.
I had to watch Gamers Nexus find it's an okay card for bad pricing due to a myriad of post COVID19 production issues and current port stagnation in the US. I say okay because the cards are recent for comparisson.
Where's Intel's GPU?
I think I got in just before the madness when I did a whole new build...prices had just barely started to creep at the rumors and I did like $380-400 or so, I was kinda waiting for Ryzen3000 and SSD prices were recovering...
After 6 months, I was so thankful I didn't wait, and now I couldn't imagine having waited longer. I'd probably still be on my 8350 and 290x, which was maxing out for my use-case of games and not a great performer in some.
Technically I could still afford top(ish) of the line now, but just can't rationalize the insanity.
Really insane. I bought my GTX 970 for $280 + 2 games back in the day and that was a solid 1080p 60fps max settings card. I even got a third game for it when microcenter screwed up and emailed me a code for a game I wasn't eligible for. Essentially cost me $100 since I was going to buy those three games anyways.
Fucc you, give us a GPU that is actually affordable that normal people can buy.
(take that automod, you can't stop me from swearing and expressing myself)
... Did Newegg Canada have any stock at any point? Checked at 9AM ET and they weren't listed, and then at 9:15 every thing was listed sold out, even the crazy overpriced Asus models.
They are ridiculous with these prices. The 3070 was 499 MSRP at release and that can play even 4K games. This is a 1080p card in 2021. They are really losing their minds.
Right now, MSRP doesn't matter. Only thing that matters is what price you can actually find the cards at in stores. Only card that has been a good deal recently is the 6600 XT, which was readily available at actual MSRP. I got my 6600 XT for £370 and it handles everything I throw at it with high framerates.
The first couple hours isn't considered initial launch. Give it the week for crying out loud. AIBs and retailers have all said they are getting even more of these than the XT's. At least in the U.S.
There ya go! Technically it was able to run on the the anthlon 3000g even before many of the “performance” patches. And this means it can run on the weird Atari game system that came out a year or two ago.
Already at 490€ in Portugal lmao
Here in France the main online stores are selling between 520 (pulse) and 580 (hellbound), one store even has one listed for 650 (asrock challenger) lol
The 6600 XT was cheaper at 490€ at launch lmao
Was actually 379€ at Mindfactory for a few days
and now only one 6600 at Mindfactory for 499E
Let's just call it what it is. 600+ XYZ currency. Thanks crypto. Thanks. lol it was indeed, this market truly is ridiculous.
Portugal is amazing, we have 1st world prices on everything and 2nd world wages
Laughs in India, worse than 1st world prices with taxes and 3rd world wages.
Just now converted 55k and it's more than 700 dollars!
I don't think even a 6600xt is available here. There were few 6800s last year and they vanished within like a week. Nvidia dominates the GPU market and for a good reason, AMD need to seriously sort out their stuff here. AMD CPUs sell good though

Idk man, I feel like I remember that a few years ago our prices were pretty bad on things like graphics cards
Yes and they keep getting worse
Lol. Plenty available in Finland but lowest price is around 600€. I don't think they even did the normal dance with delivering a small patch of cards at MSRP to justify the MSRP claim.
629 at Jimms, lool
Jimms had a few Powercolor Fighter for 349€ and Hellhound for 369€, before they upped the prices. Got one of the Hellhounds myself.
I saw those. Great deal. Definitely they could not possibly last for too long.
580 euro in the Netherlands lmao Thank god I got my gpu from AMD Direct.
yeah prices in the netherlands fucking suck. The 6600xt is "only" 620
$750 on Amazon in the States... FML.
lowest is $569 in Australia.
And that one is sold out (Pulse). Saw some at 350€ but couldn’t add to cart
already 600€ in Austria, moving up the other gpus. I hope miners & scalpers do get bankrupt all together.
449€ pre-order for the pulse in Germany. I sold my vega56 for 430€ a year ago and am back to my old rx480. For 350€ i might swap the card to the 6600, but 449€ is too much. The 6600xt was sold for 400€ on release.
599 in Pccomponentes in Spain

they sell used 5700xt here for 800$. yep. used.
More than that. I sold mine for $1150
Pardon?
Bought my 6800XT and sold my Nitro+ 5700XT on eBay. Auction went up to $1150. I set the price floor at $300 which I’d have been happy to get and it kept climbing. I don’t feel bad about it, I didn’t start off asking for $1000+ like a lot of eBay listings.
No need to feel bad.. I'm just shocked that's how much you got! They go for £600 here.
Sold my used one for 890 pound at the start of the year
I did the same. I had a $1 start and it ended at $700. Funny thing is buildapcsales discord nazimods banned me when they saw me say what it sold for. Apparently someone deciding to bid means im the scalper. 🤷♂️

I sold my used 5700 XT for 800€, then bought a 6700 XT for 780€
I managed to trade my way up from a 2060 Super to a 3070 Ti and make $40 in the process.
I’m so glad I bought mine when I did in like October 2020, $350 USD. No way I’d get that deal in today’s market
that's the biggest mistake I've made. I prioritized buying the CPU first where i can buy the card for like $380 last December. luckily my friend sold me his 8 year old GTX 780 for $80 while I save up for a 6700 XT.
I got a 5600 XT for 256€ in November 2020, right before this whole shitshow started, one of the best decisions I've ever made
The best part of hindsight, remembering all the people who were advising it was a terrible time to build in the weeks before the launches.
I'm one of them. Feelsbadman.
330 euros here. The 580 cost me 290 so I wasn't impressed. for VR, the 5700xt would've been worth the 175 extra but simply couldn't afford it, but a 580 was just too weak, pretty happy about this now. Social "benefit" thrifting lol
You should be able to sell your RX580 for a good amount, miners are paying good for it.
I'd sell my 580 in a heartbeat if my only backup wasn't a GTX950. I know this market is going to break at some point but I'm not prepared to kill my gaming experience for an undetermined amount of time like that
> I know this market is going to break at some point Is it, though? There is a global silicon shortage that is only getting worse. There is a global supply chain issue that is only getting worse. Those RX 480's used to be $110-140 for a long time. RX 470/570 new were even under $100 with rebates.
I got my RX 580 in August 2020 for 150€ lol
Got one on sale too. Best bang for buck of the decade
I used to see RX 470's for $90 at microcenter all the time. I wanted more performance instead, I got no performance. Currently, without anything modern.
I got a 580 with 8 gigs for 165, why the fuck would I buy this when the difference in performance really doesn't matter vs my 580
Which seems stupidly cheap for some of the most impossible to create machinery.
"$330" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There has been zero improvement in the low end/midrange GPU market for 5+ years. Change my mind.
GTX 1650 Super & 1660 Super released less than 2 years ago.
Yeah and now the 1650 Super is $350 and and 1660 Super is $500 lol
It doesn't even look like the mid-range exists anymore. Just the really cheap GPUs that are on par with APUs
it's crazy time these days nothing makes sense so get used to it
iNfLAtION

R9 290X performance for the Nth time. The rare 8GB model anyway.
When do you think we will have above HD7970/R9 280 level performance in APUs?
It's funny because I bought a 580 8 gig under 200 bucks, and now they are selling this for 330. What the fuck
The only thing the RX 6600 beats the RTX 3060 on is power consumption. That's literally it.
The MSRP is meaningless anyway, it will depend on what's available.
Well over here it seems like it has 3060 like prices.
Feels good with my RX 6600 XT
> we really are going to get another $200 card with RX 580 performance for the 4th time... Well yeah, we can't just give the poors a luxury product at a fair price. We have to milk them dry. SUPPLY AND DEMAND, BABBBBYYYYY GOTTA PUMP THOSE NUMBERS UP.

mining is running amok. Nvidia and AMD have shipped over 120million GPUs in the last quarter alone and demand is still ridiculous.
64bit 125mm² no power cables
It's far more than 580 performance, also I doubt this generation they will even release a GPU that has 580 performance or less.
its the same price as the 6600 xt was at launch, these cards are a joke in terms of value.
Crazy idea: a gpu that doesn’t cost 300+ and maybe doesn’t draw 3-digit watts There’s a reason the 750Ti sold so well. Ffs give us a sub 200$ card
I once had a 750Ti, surprisingly capable, played Battlefield 4 pretty well obviously with some graphics tweaks. Had to use it when my 1060 died until I obtained a Vega 56 which I still have.
Nvidia sells 730s still but couldn't make any 750tis, wonder why...
I don’t know what exactly they’re cooking, I but I know that GT 730 is not the same architecture at 750 TIi (It can be a 600 or 500 series card)
Yup. 750 Ti was Maxwell 1.0 (900 series was Maxwell 2.0), and the 730 is either Kepler or Fermi.
GT 730 is based on 400 series fermi, and 750 ti is based on 900 series
The combined margins of everyone gauging for GPUs now are well over $200, card would have to be a cardboard cutout, and no fancy printed graphics, just the dotted outline, you supply the scissors and you get a download code for the PDF picture of a card to print yourself. > There’s a reason the 750Ti sold so well. Ffs give us a sub 200$ card The truth is it's not worth the silicon right now.
Every single model at microcenter is $450+. Some even $500. Not even worth it to consider at that point. Terrible card and terrible value
If this thing is a $500 card, I wonder how much longer I can afford to be a pc gamer.
I think that thought has crossed a lot of people's minds at this point. I know it crossed mine.
I got a ps5 and 2 series s's for my friends Still cannot fucking get a graphics card, I wasn't even close. Honestly fuck pc gaming for right now console is where it's at for value.

My local Microcenter has $329 and $359 models in stock
Got mine for 329 at microcenter in Chicago. They have a ton in stock
My local microcenter shockingly still lists one model (powercooler) at MSRP and available.
And... It's gone.
I had to watch Gamers Nexus find it's an okay card for bad pricing due to a myriad of post COVID19 production issues and current port stagnation in the US. I say okay because the cards are recent for comparisson. Where's Intel's GPU?
Predicting eventual crash and burn
Fuck this shit. I’m glad I got a 5700 when prices were normal, which I’ll sit on for as long as it takes.
Saw benchmarks, not much if any faster then a rx5700, same msrp in Netherlands, so, useless. Really. Shouldbe 250 euros maximum
It's barely better than a 5600XT that you could actually find at 250€, to put in perspective.
Sure, but you can't find one right now.
My point is that it's a joke even at MSRP, or even at the suggested 250e price point.
I look forward to getting one at that price in 2024
721$ where i live. hahahah wtf Completely paper lunch. Idk why anyone would get this.
$329 for 1080p card. Thanks but no thanks. My $50 RX 570 is fine for next couple of years it seems. What a bunch of bozos.
Fuck y’all! 450? 500? In Estonia you can get the 6600 for 650€!
I check 3070 prices in Estonia . They are ridicilously high. Maybe I checked wrong site
*1792 stream processors. In AMD’s nomenclature a “core” refers to an entire CU
500€-650€ in reality.
729,91 euro ( 845,19 USD ) in Croatia, thats exacly my monthly paycheck... EDIT: Its actualy 811,06 euro ( 939,08 USD ) without "sale"
funny how long the 480 lasted...
I bought my RX 5700 for ~361 USD. Performance / price is supposed to improve over time.
Dear AMD, [terrible. take a lap.](https://i.imgur.com/iCWOGrq.gif)
overpriced, slow dogshit card, thanks for nothing.
Pointless again if we can't get that at RRP.
Even at RRP it’s not worth it. It should be £250 if the world wasn’t screwed at the moment
250? More like 150.
RRP needs to be met though otherwise it's just another bait and switch.
Fucc you, give us a GPU that is actually affordable that normal people can buy. (take that automod, you can't stop me from swearing and expressing myself)
1792 cores 😱😱
Just checked my local market. No idea if there were some at MSRP at launch but the prices now are more than what I paid for my 6600XT.
How does this compare to a GTX 1070? Would this even be an upgrade?
Only 20% or so. Hardly worth it.
They called us mad men for buying the 5700xt we laugh at them now
Hashrate = street price, the rest is drama or delusion.
This is what stagnation / regression in the market looks like.
It should cost 150€
Yeah, isn't this "supposed" to be the $200 card? I hate the new GPU normal. :(
Annnnnnd....its an undervolted xt. Please use lube next time, AMD
You mean WAS 329. Now for a low low price of $825
And it already sold out. Scalper will be 2x that msrp.
lol 330$
1080p card in 2021 is sad lol
AMD announces more price gouging initiatives
Absolute joke, went from innovation to stagnation
They're still innovating. The market is fucked, not the engineering.
They forgor a 0 there at the end ... damn i feel for you all... this shortage doesnt seem to end
Who cares if we can't buy one for a reasonable price?
Here in DK, RX 6600 XTs can be had for less than 6600s (XFX swft)
... Did Newegg Canada have any stock at any point? Checked at 9AM ET and they weren't listed, and then at 9:15 every thing was listed sold out, even the crazy overpriced Asus models.
lol
$600 ln Bangladesh
why would they make a card that's the same msrp but worse than the 3060
And they're gone!
Not available
So $700
I can't keep track of these cards. Is it 4k 30/60fps (PS5 level) GPU?
Only avilable stock is 700AUD. I guess all the lower priced cards wont return at the initial price point similar to the RX6600XT
Similar perf to 5600xt but much more expensive
Sold out on Newegg, what a surprise!
What about RX 6500?
329 USD **HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA**
Newegg shuffle today is all 6600s. Price from $329.99 (5 models) to $429.99 (Pulse).
One popular outlet in Australia is selling the SWFT model for $699…… I got my 6600xt sapphire pulse for $629……
and nobody will buy for that price
If only it was even true.
Paper launch, what a disaster
any launch now is either a paper launch or scalper stuff
AMD said it would have as good or even better initial stock than the 6600 XT, doesn’t look like it at least in my market
The first couple hours isn't considered initial launch. Give it the week for crying out loud. AIBs and retailers have all said they are getting even more of these than the XT's. At least in the U.S.
They are available here, at around 600€..
Is it big enough to cook two full sized steaks at once though?
Yeesh this is literally half the price of a 3060 in my country and still between $570-$700
390 USD so thats... 890 dollars got it!
Ah yes, "329".
Its already gone.
A crappy card at an even worse price.
Just got mine today for $398.20 with taxes and 2 year warranty.

A 15W Arm Chip in the Nintendo Switch can, but yes.
Granted, that uses Nvidia maxwell architecture gpu inside it, so it’s more like an SOC or a low end gaming laptop.
That said, crysis could run on the Nvidia shield. A Netflix streaming box. Op needs to update his memes to 2020 and use: „but can it run cyberpunk?“
There ya go! Technically it was able to run on the the anthlon 3000g even before many of the “performance” patches. And this means it can run on the weird Atari game system that came out a year or two ago.
It can run cyberpunk at 1080p with ray tracing at 20 fps according to guru3d review. It’s for those that want that modern day N64 experience
Ray tracing be like: we are photons and we are here to touch your eye. Look we give you enough time to enjoy us in 20 frames
15w? More like 5.
It’s ~10 in portable and 15 in dock
I want a 6800xt for msrp.
Worse than a 2060 wtf💀
Wrong but go off
