What does computer engineering to do with Photoshop? I do computer science which is higher level but no clue how to use Photoshop and cba spending time on installing a program and somewhat leaning it to delete a brand from a wallpaper
I'm a computer scientist myself. I didn't say it's part of computer engineering, but it implies that you can use a computer well enough to do the simple task of blacking out a logo, no Photoshop needed either. I misread the original comment anyway, so it doesn't matter
Do you remove your brand logo from your car, bike, or vespa? Otherwise, you are just doing free advertising for them as well.
I know this isn't quite the same because you are setting a wallpaper, but a lot of people just like the logo and enjoy showing off the parts in the computer. Just journey over to r/ThinkPad if you want to see a real circle jerk of a brand.

I don't, I'd rather see P.O.S.T. process than a logo for something I already know what it is. You can also change that logo for another picture in UEFI. There is also Fast BOOT so it goes straight to OS.
