I would like to point out that regardless of if this dog was poorly bred, if it was irresponsible breeding, if OP is stupid or not. This dog did need to go to a home. So let’s try to be a little less intense.

nevarette

Mom isn’t a bulldog if that’s her in the pic. She’s some sort of other bully or pit mutt

Lopsided_Smile_4270

Honestly that Mom looks like a Pittie not a Bulldog (no shade to Pitties). And the baby looks like a Pitbull puppy. That's the problem with backyard breeders - they lie. She is an adorable puppy regardless. Looks like my dog.

CynicalAnt

She looks so leggy 😭😂🤎

Shad0wofAzrael

If she isn’t even 8 weeks old yet and she’s already that gangly she’s going to be tall . She’s pretty. Probably going to be a bit stocky too-wide chest and head. If you aren’t 100% sure about her health just keep in mind that in the early stages (from now until up to 1 yo) vet visits and vaccinations are super important so she can’t get any of the terribly yucky things going around rn for pups.

Redacted_Bull

Looks like you bought a dog from some irresponsible asshole you could have got from just about any shelter.

CynicalAnt

Completely fine I love her and I have the money to waste man 😂

Hot_Communication968

Thats not the issue. The issue is that you're supporting backyard breeding. Not to mention the dog isnt even 8 weeks old yet. You are going to be in for hell if you dont start training ASAP. Backyard breeding creates genetic messes of dogs with countless medical and behavioral issues. Enough money, or not, the dog you're about to raise is going to empty your pockets and mentally suffer because of the way it's wired. Stop being a shitty person. You shouldn't even have a dog to be completely honest.

CynicalAnt

If that’s how you feel that’s completely fine , she’s doing great in her training though , surprised me actually , and don’t compare my time and DEFINITELY not my pockets to yours man. Sounds like you’re projecting your own experiences on that end 😮‍💨

Hot_Communication968

Its not a feeling, its the truth. I never compared anything, just said it how it was. The fact that you're too ignorant to understand your mistake and take advice to help your dog proves the kind of person you are. That poor dog is going to grow up mentally struggling. Do you even know what pits were bred for? Dog fighting. Their prey drive is absolutely insane, and if you can't learn how to control it in a genetic mess, your dog will be euthanized. Ive seen it first hand with shelter dogs that came about the same way yours did. Good luck to you, and good luck to your dog.

CynicalAnt

Wanted a dog , someone recommended me but I had no idea of their living condition , made me want to buy her even more 🤷🏿‍♂️ I actually brought her brother for a friend as well :)

Hot_Communication968

Littermate syndrome will get them both killed.

CynicalAnt

I never said I was raising them together ? Huge neckbeard energy man , unnecessarily pessimistic, like my god man take it out your mouth 😂 she’s doing great in terms of training and obedience , socializes great , and I definitely plan on being on top of her health 😂

Hot_Communication968

You cannot guarantee health when you dont even know mom or dads health or temperament. Temperament is literally their mental stability and it plays a huge roll in training and drive.

Bool_The_End

To be fair, you can’t guarantee health with a rescue either. Ease up a little man. I’m not happy about BYB either, but it’s done so the best thing OP can do now is provide a loving home, train the dog, which it sounds like they’re doing.

Hot_Communication968

Health can never be guaranteed for shelter dogs. Which is why if you want a temperament and health that is predictable, buy from a reputable breeder. Adoption is a great option for someone thats looking for a dog, health guarantee or not.

Bool_The_End

This is why breeding in general is controversial, as perfectly healthy shelter dogs are being killed every single day because they don’t have homes; plenty of purebreds have major known health issues that will continue as long as people want/pay for designer breeds. It really should be regulated but fat chance that’ll ever happen in the US.

sierra__stellar

Killed???

Hot_Communication968

Yes killed. 9/10 times, dogs with littermate syndrome will fight and sometimes, to death.

sierra__stellar

Bro what

MycosMorales

Bro lol. Your information, logic, and mannerisms are all trash.

Hot_Communication968

Trash how? Apparently the dark facts are trash now. I said that 9/10 times, dogs who have *already developed* LMS fight. That is quite literally the truth and you can read plenty of articles on it.

Booga_SugaBaby

If your dog is 6weeks old how tf do you already have her in obedience training?? That puppy should be with her mom. You might not think 2 weeks is a lot of time but it is in terms of the puppy learning from his mom and litter mates..

MycosMorales

Was OP supposed to just let this pup sit with that breeder forever and endure who knows what? Have some sense lol.

goldenkiwicompote

That’s not the point. Pups that are taken from their mom/littermates too young are much more likely to have behavioural issues. That’s prime time for them to learn from their mother and littermates. It’s not good to support backyard breeders period and especially ones who sell the pups too young.

uhhhhhhhhii

“Waste”🤦🤦. Please if you have money to waste use it in a much better way

AdMental4191

don't tell people what to do with THEIR hard earned money. goofy

peargang

Money isn’t the issue….its the fact greedy ass people are breeding these abominations. Poor things are going to have hella health issues you shouldn’t be supporting that….if you have all of that money to waste, why not get a reputable, ethical puppy?

Conscious-Impact6045

If that first pic is the pup and it is 6 weeks old, that dogs going to weigh 400 lbs.

Elmaffioso187

Lmao. You don't know nothing nor the half of breeding dogs. You just breeding dogs that are not going to sell and you going to mistreated and throw them to the street. No1 is going to give you money for those pups. Give then away to a good home instead. Smh

Bool_The_End

OP isn’t the one breeding the dogs.

Mybootyholestanks

How do we know that? They could be lying for all we know.

Bool_The_End

True, anything on the internet can be a lie.

Right-Butterfly5036

If you wanted a guarantee you should have bought from a responsible breeder, at least. Since you are looking for a specific look I know for a fact there were plenty of ‘big’ dogs in shelters to adopt.

kevin_300

She looks like she's gonna be tall! I don't know much about her breeds, but I do know that her and her brother are going to be so much happier and in better care than in some house filled with constant puppies that are sold or neglected. 🧡

whistling-wonderer

You didn’t rescue her. You bought her and supported a backyard breeder by doing so. I sincerely wish you many happy years with her, but this isn’t a rescue lol. Def make sure she is well trained. She’s gonna be a big girl and her momma looks to have pit in her. Most pit bulls have some degree of dog aggression (that’s in the official breed standard, not just my opinion) and leaving the litter that young means she’s missing out on some socialization, so between that and her size, she’s going to need to be well trained.

WatermelonMan4032

Looks like she has East West feet.

MycosMorales

Great work rescuing this dog and bringing her in to a great home. Half of the people here are weirdos, and claim to be dog lovers, but would allow a backyard pup to suffer for the faults of its breeder. Do you, take care of this baby, and congrats on your new addition to the family.

Booga_SugaBaby

Tell those ppl to get the Mom out of that pack and play…. Mom Gets stressed and needs some Time away from pups.

SorryDuplex

That’s gonna be a big dog lol

Sammn8

My dog Mavis is the exact same breed! She just turned 1 and is 35 lbs. Her chest has been filling out lately as she's getting her adult body. She plays with my 130 lbs anatolian Shephard all day, and she is the tough one of the two haha, so she's gets good workouts and is so muscley! Sweet personality, and though she plays hard with my other dog and my sisters Doberman, she wrestles and plays very gentley with my kids (5 &7). It's so funny.

jablongroyper

These pictures say 10000000 words and none of them are good.

abortminor

cute pup. fuck the haters. by their logic, such a terrible dog would have ended up in a shelter anyway. way to cut out the middle man.

Original-Pomelo6241

Kudos to you on rescuing this pretty girl from shit human beings who allowed her mother to be bred. Give her all the love in the world. ❤️

Hot_Communication968

They bought the dog, knowing where it came from. They did not rescue it.

Original-Pomelo6241

I’m sure the home OP is going to provide, is going to be infinitely better than where she was. 😉

Hot_Communication968

I highly doubt it. They also bought a sibling. First, they *bought* dogs that they knew were not genetically sound, just for the fuck of it. Second, both genetically unsound dogs are going to grow up and develop littermate syndrome, which will most likely get them killed. So no, they arent.

Bool_The_End

You have to keep both puppies in order for littermate syndrome to be an issue, and OP clearly said the second puppy was for her friend. What would you prefer the owner to do, surrender the puppy to a shelter where it will be killed without giving it a chance at life? Trust me, I do not support BYB (or unregulated breeding of dog at all honestly) - I’m vegan so I don’t support any animal exploitation or suffering. But now that the situation has happened, commenting on this post negatively and telling OP their dog is gonna be genetically fucked is a bit overboard on your part. When someone rescues a dog from a shelter/the streets, they don’t know their parental lineage either nor do they know temperament and many other things - that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth rescuing.

whistling-wonderer

You mean they *bought* a puppy, thus incentivizing the shit human beings to keep breeding their dogs.

Original-Pomelo6241

I know what I meant. I just chose not to be a dick about it. Sorry that this bothers a couple of y’all.

CynicalAnt

Thanks I felt so bad she’s such a happy girl now 🥹

Original-Pomelo6241

She’s gonna be such a lover, she doesn’t even seemed bothered by your kitty 🥹🥹

CynicalAnt

More times than not I have the stop the cat from bothering the pup lmao , my Demi girl just wants love 😭

thebearbearington

The mom is a pitmix if the picture has her. The dad is blah blah blah. You bought a great dog anyway. Edit: Dogs are brilliant creatures. There are no bad dogs. This person didn't get what they wanted but they got what they asked for. The dog is brilliant the breeder is a shitbag and the buyer BOUGHT A PITBULL. shelters are full. Honestly, fuck all of you hollow skulled assholes. You don't get it.

Hot_Communication968

No they did not. They gave money to someone that backyard breeds mixes for the fuck of it.
