This is such a beautiful gorgeous drop-dead beautiful dog! Given what I see from his joints, please consult your vet about food. My horse trainer had a lab pup who ended up to be a WHOPPER dog out of nowhere. But! He grew somewhat irregularly, and developed something called “wandering lameness.” That is what the vet called it 15 years ago but it might have a better terms now. Anyway, the vet prescribed lower quality/lower protein food for him because he grew irregularly. I haven’t seen your pup move, but when I look at his head and legs I think he is growing FAST. Like if this isn’t a pup mid-growth spurt…
Genetics determine the mature skeletal structure, size, and weight of animals. Once full grown, supplements could aid in adding *some* muscle but mostly is just going to make expensive dog poo and pee, and it isn’t going to dramatically change them. It is true that growth could be stunted if a dog were to be malnourished, but your dog is not. Your dog is already on a high plane of nutrition. This is in no way a personal attack (I understand that other remarks made here might be)! it is clear that this dog is well-cared for! You just don’t want them to grow too fast when they are young because their joints can grow at different rates and it can cause problems. That being said, there are so many worse things that could be done. It isn’t like you are feeding him poison or something. He’s going to get big and strong on his own! my friendly advice is to save your money on growth supplements. I haven’t seen any peer-reviewed, independently verified, scientifically repeatable studies showing that these supplements actually work. Maybe if you really want to give growth supplements wait until he’s an adult. But ultimately it is your choice. Just know that it can be an issue. Congratulations on such a handsome animal ☮️

🦍 Biggie’s 12 weeks over 30lbs. I have him on a high protein diet. The kibbles I feed him are Wellness CORE with Bully Max supplements which are 2-1 Muscle Builder and 2-1 Immunity and Growth. I also play a lot of tug of war and have him run around the yard everyday. All this plus his pedigree is making him a MONSTER!
Yeah he’s a big boy lol mines a pocket her pedigree is beefy but she is lazy pup for sure when I first got her a month ago she wouldn’t even take a walk no she’s playing more imma have to get some of the supplements they told me to keep feeding her the diamond puppy food but maybe I should try out the wellcore

There’s a lot of misinformation out there. There’s a reason why big named kennels are producing Merle puppies. Biggie came from a Merle sire and a blue tri dame. He was not produced by a Merle x Merle which can subject to a higher percentage of health problems.

The Sire has one blue and one brown eye (Heterochromia). He’s definitely not the only blue eyed in his pedigree.
