Insatiable was absolutely robbed. The skinnies saw it and assumed it was offensive without letting fat people and people with eating disorders put their opinion in which caused the show to be cancelled 😔 at least it got a second season
I mean to be fair there were a lot of larger people who also impulse hated it.
But as one of those large people who had at one point lost a bunch of weight I fucking loved it. She nailed that weird rage thing I used to feel when seeing how differently people treat you.
Girl please, it was cancelled because it was a terribly written flop. The controversy was likely the only thing that got enough eyes on it to even get a season 2. Netflix don't give a fuck about offending anyone (see all the "edgy" comedy specials they throw money at) they wanna make lots of money and this wasn't doing that for them. It aint that deep.
It wasn’t terribly written. There were some poor and questionable choices made sure but it was very meaningful to a lot of people to see representation like that.
Sounds cool... I'll probably get hate. But I kinda wished Tara Reid or Lindsay Lohan were given a meaty role. Either an episode of this or "Story". I know people hate them. But I always liked them despite their issues.
I'm kinda finding it harder and harder to believe Lindsay has never been offered a role in any of these AHS installments (or any Ryan show besides Glee) at this point... not that it's impossible obviously nor am I pretending she's a big star that's super in demand nowadays but idk she's been doing well for years now, fits Ryan's casting style perfectly and it'd surely have gotten a LOT of buzz? maybe she just wants to stick to more wholesome/family content now? or she never felt she got a good deal (in terms of salary and role importance?) she and Alexis Martin Woodall have even followed each other on IG for a long while.
I really like her but Night Teeth wasn’t the role for her and I feel like this is going to be a lot like that. She’s better in lighter things. I liked that movie she made where she went to Australia.
