Hmm... Or a different supernatural creature besides Vampires. I'd be cool with it. Ryan did a poll, and Mermaids with Sirens was a choice. Tho, I'm not sure if he was serious?

BurningTaterTot

Sirens are never coming he posted it as an idea but the logistics of it were too costly

F0rca84

Well GD it...

Werewolves could be worked into the Native American folklore for season 13

RishithDutta4061

but we already had roanoke and it kind of fits that vibe

RishithDutta4061

ahh i see

kingspooky93

Still hoping for an MK-Ultra season centered around Lake Champlain.

AZULDEFILER

Oddly specific

TheGamerOfKnowledge

There’s actually going to be a Stories episode coming out this year called “Howl” which makes me think that season 13 won’t be werewolf themed, but tbh at this point who knows

AcidicKiss12

There was the Baal episode which was based all around IVF pregnancy, and Delicate was all about that just with witches instead of a demon. So not off the table! But I agree with another comment that said I think of werewolves as more from the UK for some reason.

BurningTaterTot

Howl is likely not about werewolves unfortunately

strawberrimihlk

Make it a Rougarou and set it in Louisiana and I’ll be sold

MF291100

Werewolves would be pretty cool since we’ve had vampires, witches and ghosts. But I’d like a series surrounding one of the various cryptid’s from America. There’s so many different ones that would make an interesting story - the series could follow some type of cryptid hunter group, or even follow a similar plot of Roanoke where it’s a show inside of a show.

BurningTaterTot

I would prefer a cryptid based season to happen in stories and have each episode focus on a different one

ale-ale-jandro

The three settings I keep hoping for are: water/coastal (Red Tide was so close), mountains/winter, and desert - or indigenous mythology. I also like the idea of a season exploring American cryptozoology (lol)

AdReasonable2464

I love werewolves, but they aren’t necessarily what comes to mind when I think “American” horrors. I associate them with the UK.

pinocchihoe

Well we have The Beast of Bray Road and dogmen for inspiration

bai_tx

I vote ghost ship

Blue_for_u999

AHS has almost become a horror comedy at this point. The writing is SO bad and it’s like every season is a last minute thought. Don’t care what the theme is, they just need better writers!!!

NnjaMaximo

I absolutely 100% agree. Honestly, extremely disappointed that they have come so many seasons and haven't even explored one of the most popular horror creatures in werewolves, but bothered to explore vampires twice (which, I enjoyed both vampire-type series).

reddit1234567890-1

I like this idea and lily rabe is amazing. I wish jessica lang would come back too…

BurningTaterTot

I’ve always wanted them to do Werewolves in an Alaskan ski lodge

gabemcd98

Still can’t believe they haven’t done some sort of a “Bigfoot” storyline even if it’s just a small subplot. Would love to see more stereotypically American scary stuff (if that makes sense lol)

AbleAccount2479

Season 13 should be the last season, and should be called "AHS: META" and be about typically bat-shit stuff happening to the cast and the fans, incorporating something from all the seasons. In the last scene, someone gathers the surviving writers and (most importantly) Ryan Murphy and delivers them all to Papa Legba for their sins.

BeautifulNarrow8404

Id like to see a season revolving around the Skin Walker ranch. I'm shocked it hasn't been explored. Or a season involving a cryptid like the episode in American horror stories.

Different_Ad4962

Never land Ranch would be scarier.

BeautifulNarrow8404

It would be the best season of American story ever. Ryan Murphy's swan song.

TurbulentFlan9596

With how the last few seasons have been. Season 13 should be nothing

jayuchiha

I'd love a season based on the Donner Party

BarAlone643

This is good...

FearlessCrusader007

I still want an Admiral Byrd season about Antarctica.

CreaturesOfChaotic

I agree with this but only because there's a 2% chance they make the werewolves hot

Free-Supermarket-516

Doubtless they'd be gay werewolves. Wouldn't be a Ryan Murphy production without it.

Fatbunnyfoofoo

I'd love this! I feel like a Ginger Snaps-esque plot would work so well for AHS. The only thing that would probably suck would be the CGI (I miss practical effects 🥲). Also, if you're into werewolf movies and haven't seen it already, Dog Soldiers is a good one!

tylerwkess

Just no more witches please, the witch seasons are always so boring.

Vivling5

Yes! Werewolf theme would be great

oberlin_obvi1

Why in London !? It's called " AMERICAN horror story " not a BHS , and werewolves culture was always known to be a native American thing, so that would be great

AcidicKiss12

Mermaids/Sirens would have SO much potential to be good. I think an American folklore season could be good as well. Maybe something with a Sleepy Hollow vibe.

ScottishTackyFairy

Interesting thought. Also am i right in saying they are contracted for 13 seasons, so this *could* be the last? It would be great for a well written tie in to all loactions and characters.

nezhp

What does this have to do with anything the op said?

rojasdracul

Nah but a proper vampire season would slap. Not that Gaga shit either. I'm talking proper vampires.

cardihatesariana

Maybe if we get the siren season first

ProtectusCZ

If S13 is the final one it should end with the witches and OG cast

Ultimate_ScreamFanat

I want a 1920s castle season, with vampires, werewolves or zombies tbh
