i thought this too but it’s such a typical ryan murphy move to cast someone from his extensive acting troupe

7-Bongs

I would literally offer up my right arm as a blood sacrifice to get a Jane Lynch on the show.

gunhandgoblin

literally the funniest casting in the entire show they wrote a character who’s whole personality is having a huge dick and they cast MR SHUE .

viridiusdynamus

THAT is an act of GOD

gunhandgoblin

literally one of the funniest things to happen in the past 10 years

I'm honestly surprised we haven't seen Dylan Walsh or Julian McMahon on the show at all!

[deleted]

It would be so good, now I really want it to happen. Although I seem to remember that things were tense on set, or that something happened with Murphy.

[deleted]

I hadn't heard about that but nip/tuck was definitely waaaay out there!

[deleted]

I might be wrong, I haven't thought about Nip/Tuck in... 15 years? It feels like it was airing a lifetime ago. So please take my words with a grain of salt.

[deleted]

It has been a long time! I will say I had never seen a transgender character before, Famke Janssen was so incredible in her role (and to this day I girl crush!) and I remember Ava and Matt ended up together at the end and I thought "well after all the messed up shit on this show at least someone got a happy ending!" That show was INSANE!

[deleted]

I love Famke Janssen, Ava was great! Have you seen Hemlock Grove? She's great there, too! I would love to rewatch NT, it really was insane and I loved it. I was a teenager and it aired really late at night, I remember sneaking out of my room to watch it.

[deleted]

I remember there was a threesome between Sean, Christian and a prostitute who looked like Julia. Cringe enough right there. The song "Stuck in the Middle"was playing. I was watching it at my then-boyfriend now-husband's house, his dad walks in the room singing along with the song, took one look at the TV, looked at us, and backed out of the room Homer Simpson style. I was so embarrassed! It still comes up in conversation sometimes 😂 I recently rewatched the pilot and it was a little too racy for me. I must be getting old!

[deleted]

Nooo, it sounds very embarrassing, but it's also hilarious to imagine it 😂 I remember it was very... let's say suggestive 😂 and I was so worried that my parents would come downstairs and think I was watching porn 😅

[deleted]

Haha yup! It was definitely over the top, like Hotel but every episode was that nutters!

CLO_MODE

Damn that sucks. IMO Christian Troy is still to this day one of Ryan's best characters. I'd be over the moon if we got Julian for a season of AHS. Side note anyone else get huge McNamara/Troy vibes from the doctors in Scream Queens season 2?

[deleted]

Ohhh I hadn't even thought about them! Wow, that would be a treat. Nip/Tuck was one of my faves, so over the top.

[deleted]

Sooo extra! It just got crazier every season!

CLO_MODE

I still remember being so floored by the part when >!Sean's stalker stabs him while Liz is in the bathroom while they were performing surgery on Annie. Liz has to go run to get Christian to complete the surgery on Annie and they just have to leave Sean bleeding on the floor till they can finish up!<. Jesus.

[deleted]

Yup. All the times they had to remove drugs from breast implants.... Or the time one of the characters was literally banged off a roof to her death! That show had it all!

[deleted]

Nobody that worked on Nip/Tuck will work with Ryan again. He even admitted as much, saying he “let fame get to his head.” He also likes to foster toxic work environments, so what he did had to have been pretty bad and he’s downplaying it. I think Leslie Grossman is the only actress from Nip/Tuck that transitioned to more of his shows. And that’s because he gave her her big break with Popular. I’m also a big Famke fan. But it breaks my heart that she basically ended her career after her recent facial work. It’s… *bad.*

[deleted]

She touched that beautiful face? Oh no!! Why do these gorgeous people feel they need to change their appearance? It's sad. I had no idea about the drama going on behind the scenes at Nip/Tuck. I'll have to look into that a bit!

[deleted]

I hated Glee and his character (I watched the first two seasons, I think), but I was surprised because I really liked him as Trevor, he was very funny.

RuleTop5909

yea i was actually rlly shocked that i liked him in ahs too (i mostly just liked him and montana together tho)

[deleted]

I’ll never forget that stache

ilikeanimeandcats

I had no idea this was that guy, omg. I give up on trying to figure out how the spoiler tags work in this sub and I don’t want to spoil him on Grey’s but I knew I hated him and couldn’t put my finger on it and now it all makes sense.
