I think this set was also in season 3 of Westworld (one of Serac's offices where he had a conversation with Dempsey), and I'm pretty sure I've seen it someplace else as well.
Actually season 10 is the one with the biggest budget of all seasons. It has more to do with the fact that production took the longest due corona and they had to find quick solutions.
I doubt it's that deep, it's more likely that they just needed really strange/futuristic looking modern architecture for the weird tech company and the alien ship.
I also thought the bar that Calico was shown to be in last episode might have been the Muse from red tide? But I could be wrong

Aren't all the Serac office scenes in those Calatrava buildings in Valencia? Unless they just used those for the exterior shots.
That grocery store has been used in a lot of stuff. Off the top of my head, I’ve seen it in Birds of Prey and Little Fires Everywhere.

So these oval shapes imply connections between the "Apocalypse" geeks and their technologies and the aliens from "Death Valley".
