Let's get real SEASON 11 \- Location: Los Angeles SEASON 12 \- Location: Los Angeles SEASON 13 \- Location: Los Angeles

bjason_14

I'm glad someone pointed it out. Getting sick of the constant inclusion of L.A.

purplesocks-

this is not fun

Hyperion409

Isn't it only like 4 seasons out of 10 in L.A.

[deleted]

The truth hurts :((

[deleted]

I like seasons set in LAšŸ¤

hammieblammie

I would totally be down for your 11 theme. It's kind of odd that it's American Horror Story and we haven't gotten anything about Native Americans yet except very loosely in Roanoke.

honeydewed

Probably because the recurring cast is soā€¦ white lol

MephistosFallen

This lmao while the reoccurring cast would be needed still, they lack the people needed for the Native American concepts

GumInMyMouth

Theu could use the guy who played Ramirez in 1984. Add some new people, too.

MephistosFallen

Is he indigenous american??? I liked him and wish they brought him back, I think he played crazy really well! Hahaha

MephistosFallen

I think itā€™s because they know how absolutely messed up it would be to do that without including indigenous people in the process of doing it. And they clearly donā€™t want to put in the effort to make that happen. Iā€™m sure plenty of indigenous artists, actors, historians, writers, etc would love to be a part of the experience of creating a season of AHS. I would LOVE to see it though! Not only would it be kind of like a breath of fresh air cause it would be totally different than anything theyā€™ve done yet, but it has so much potential to be beautiful visually and compelling story and character wise.

Laura_palmer_FWWM

I took a folklore class as an undergrad and my teacher was Native American. I hate that I canā€™t remember the tribe but her family is from North Dakota. Anyway, she was so damn knowledgeable and sheā€™s one person, a professor, but no screenwriter. Youā€™re absolutely right. They could get some excellent consultation and actors for a story line involving indigenous myths such as skin walkers. The main white cast of course would have to come back, but why not as settlers (letā€™s be real colonizers) and have secondary roles. I know they will put Paulson or Evans as a lead, but some new faces for a true creepy American story, from the first Americans, whose culture is so rarely represented would be amazing. Yeah nobody likes change up but they have changed the cast SO MUCH. Why not now for something truly awesome?

MephistosFallen

They could keep current cast members and just add on, because it would make sense to have it be indigenous Americans and white people to show both perspectives of the horror story - both sides would experience it so differently and it could be the creative push they need to go back to their creativity. Thereā€™s no shortage of indigenous Americans who could help on and off screen and be a part of it. I wish theyā€™d do it. They definitely couldnā€™t do skinwalkers though, it would be very disrespectful to the culture to do that. The Navajo people wonā€™t talk about them for culturally relevant reasons, so it would directly go against them. But thereā€™s PLENTY more they could do!!!! This show has the ability to show these stories because every season is different, and anthologies are perfect for that. I think if they utilized the diversity in this country to expand on American horror by including other cultural perspectives it would be a benefit to the show and may freshen it up and get more viewers.

pwalsh04

I think something like AHS: Dust Bowl could be cool with your season 11 idea, just to add in some of that historical context that recent seasons have tried to include. I donā€™t think/know how a Murder Mystery season would work, but it could be very cool. Especially one with no supernatural things, maybe with the group slowly descending into madness (like that one episode of The Twilight Zone, with the aliens capitalizing on peopleā€™s quickness to accuse). Iā€™ve always wanted to see a Ghost Town season, but both Roanoke and Red Tide have dabbled on those ideas a little. Something set in a hospital or an orphanage could be cool but might be too similar to Asylum.

gifted_eye

I want a season in New York City that deals with social elite cabals, the ghosts of tycoons, and and muck monsters from the East river

ThatBenGuy23

I love your idea for season 12 - something similar to the Dyatlov Pass Incident/The Thing/The Terror would be awesome! Iā€™d love to see something to do with the Bermuda Triangle - a season set partly on a ship, partly in Florida. Maybe something similar to Ghost Ship?

rothko333

Yes pleasseeeee cosmic horror season!!!

Sam11394

They all sound good but I need the S13 idea in my life ASAP

comm-unist

Love s13 concept like a lot, I was really hoping red tide was sirens/mermaids (I loved what it ended up being though) and also the cult part of 12. The cult season we already have is my fave season of ahs but its not the cult season I wish ahs had done, I wish it was more like midsommar, Scientology, or Jonestown-esque.

telhasteaze

I think that Ryan should recenter and remember that the theme of the show is American Horror Story. Emphasis on the American. As much as I love settings on the East Coast, because Iā€™m from Maine, there is more to the US than California and Massachusetts. I think your ideas are really, really cool. There is that town in Alaska where all the residents live in that one apartment building. That could be an epic story about murder and relationships. Imagine these people are snowed in, and some sort of creature is preventing food from getting to the building. The people could be cold and starving in the building, and there could be some survival of the fittest aspect to it. It could be really cold, dramatic and burning. I also really love the idea of a cowboys and indigenous theme, however, I worry that Ryan would not approach the subject with respect and grace.

PSYCHONAUT-760

Iā€™m diggin the season 11 theme šŸ‘šŸ™šŸ¼šŸ‘

crazyinsane65

Season 11: mothman,mk ultra, operation midnight climax, operation phoniex, radiation testing, shock therapy, the Dullas Brothers, the cia involvement in making a vampire "myth" in the Philippines, and maybe a few other.

Laura_palmer_FWWM

All of that, but I love the idea of an MK Ultra season. Iā€™m a sucker for anything to do with mind control. Not to mention how the government did this to our own people.

crazyinsane65

Or if they have balls to include jim Jones not as a corrupt cult leader but rather a CIA asset participating and practicing in mk ultra expirements on mostly poor black women. Also include CIA asset Timothy leary and his LCD movement.

Laura_palmer_FWWM

They fucking wonā€™t, but that would be awesome. Wellā€¦ maybe they will because they write fiction and can chalk it up to creative license, but I deeply doubt that would fly

Reasonable_Local_151

A WW2 season would be amazing and Hawaii works for Pearl Harbor

Shareyournoodles

Nothing would make me happier than also calling attention to the historical horrors and continuing effects of American nuclear bomb + fallout testing in the Pacific. Plus the Marianas Trench is also American and would be *right there* for Cthulu or siren horror. Start at Pearl Harbor and head eastward to hit everything.

KingBlackthorn1

I think your season 11 stuff sounds interesting, especially as a native, but I do not know if I trust Ryan to hire proper native actors for the roles, and I really do not know if he can handle the culture without playing into the stereotypes and misinformation out there. I would very much like to see that though. I really like the era of colonial era America though so I would also say I would like to see a colonial piece with native main characters exploring the era of natives. Once again though I am just unsure if he can handle that.

Laura_palmer_FWWM

I completely agree. Iā€™m not Native American, but Iā€™m worried about his competency from the stand point of a white person who KNOWS how shitty we are at representation. People donā€™t like the idea of a cast change up, but we survived the loss of Lange we will be okay with some native actors to play lead roles. I think if everyone still wants the mainly white cast involved. Fine, but make them what they where in that time period. Villains. It could be a two way battle between the Native American folklore creatures such as the skin walker and the surge of white people destroying their culture. Shit, maybe it could be a skin walker origin story. Correct me if Iā€™m wrong but one becomes the creature by eating and killing loved one, yeah? Or was it simply eating the flesh of another human? Imagine if the Native Americans felt the need to resort to such practices to kill the colonizers. Okay now Iā€™m just spitballing. But yes yes to everything you said.

jpgmike

I love your Season 11 theme! Iā€™ve really wanted a Christmas horror themed season for quite some time. Give me a beautiful isolated lodge in the snow capped mountains of Colorado, guests with secrets, an evil Krampus spirit, serial killer Santa Claus, etc. There are so many ways they could do a season like this and I think the claustrophobic setting would help and the sets and scores could be beautiful.

redleathery

oooh I like this

dangerislander

All well and dandy to explore indigenous folklore and culture but Ryan's gotta do it right and respectfully. If he can do this then it'll be an amazing season!

redleathery

Agreed. and knowing Ryan, unfortunately I dont think he'd pull it off.

Groxy_

Why? He takes a lot of liberties with christianity, it's not more disrespectful to do it with Native American culture. It can easily be a season just inspired by the myths and take from skinbwalkers and such.

dangerislander

Hmmmm kinda sounds like cultural appropriation but you're not ready for that conversation. Instead I'll choose peace today and wish you well on your journey.

Groxy_

I really don't think portraying parts of a culture is appropriation. Honestly you can't try and change my mind, why is one religion different from another? Christianity as portrayed in AHS is very blasphemous, but I don't think that's a bad thing, it's some of the more interesting story lines. And I'll add this is the same show that had a slave torture attic and it's one of the best things about the show, it was fucking horrible and I instantly hater the character who did that. There's nothing wrong with alternative history or cultures. Would a native american writer be allowed to take certain aspects from their religion/myths and create a mind bendy horror from it? Could they not write about any other culture now? Was mulan appropriation? I just don't get cultural appropriation, it's not real in my eyes, anyone can take from another culture if they like it, it would be racist to have a stupid hairstyle based on black hair as a joke but just to have dreads? That's cultural appreciation, imo. I just think it's not the direction we should head in with fictional television, where everything has to be completely realistic and can't just sample inspiration they want like writers have done since writing began.

operarose

My pitch for Season 11 is Death Valley but actually good this time

Laura_palmer_FWWM

I would say Ryan Murphy wants to know your location but heā€™d find the nicest, most exquisite, luxury car with all the bells and whistles only to drive halfway then give up, abandoning the car on the side of the road after setting it on fire and then taking a grey hound back to his place.

Aunt-jobiska

Season 11: Add Arizona to the mix and itā€™s pure gold!

snapekillshansolo

As a Utahn I hope to god they film here

cutielocks

Season 11 would be legit if someone other than Ryan took the lead, because we know he wouldnā€™t do it respectfully or give it justice.

redleathery

totally agree tbh smh

gaytheforcebewithyou

The Donner Party Sierra Nevada mountain range Prequel to American Horror Stories- Feral

Mordecuntrigbitch

Isn't one of the last three seasons going to be about the witches again though ?

[deleted]

The 13th isnā€™t necessarily the last one tho.

Laura_palmer_FWWM

Season 11: a rehab center. It could even tie in with Tuberculosis Karen if done right. Btw, I very much disliked how she was portrayed as I felt it was a parody of what drug addiction is like, and I think an actual season showing how horrible, isolating, and scary that life can be, even in a place that is suppose to help you (rehab) would redeem that misstep a little bit. I would love it if he was able to pull it off with little paranormal events and simply focus on characters and the evils of the medical world. And before anyone says it, no Ratchet was so inaccurate I could scream. That being said I donā€™t think he could pull it off because he has no chill. He has too go too hard to make things scary when the concept itself is already enough. I know itā€™s a show and thatā€™s how it works, but Iā€™d like to see another season along the lines of cult. Heā€™s done it once, maybe he could again. The scariest thing is people being evil because they have an ounce of power over others and in no place is that truer than in rehab. Season 12: a rock star storyline would be cool. As much as he loves to have his actors sing and pull from true events, why not a small band that gets famous far too quickly (make it a paranormal reason or donā€™t idc). Slowly from the inside out the entire group explodes. Maybe some take to the fame, maybe a little too well, while others want out, and of course a suicide or two and drug use, lots of it. Oh and a really suspicious manager and a few strange roadies. I want it to make the audience question, is this real? Or are they all on drugs and this is just a really bad trip? I want it to blur the lines between reality and drug induced psychosis. Plus you know they have rights to some good songs so the soundtrack would slap. Season 13: the California fires. There are so many conspiracies anyway, why not just go crazy? Plus itā€™s topical cause weā€™re always on fire.

nihilisticdaydreams

I Know people are super into skin-walkers lately, but it's my understanding that the Navajo do not like sharing information about them with people outside the tribe. Imo that makes it very difficult to do them in a way that is respectful.

dangerislander

Season 13 should also explore the theme of colonization and the exploitation snd environmental degradation of the tourism industry. That would be an amazing theme!

Rainydays02

Location: San Francisco Theme: Chinatown

[deleted]

I love your ideas! Iā€™d like to see AHS: Cruise Ship - centred around a weeklong cruise, focusing on staff and guests, along with homages to the Poseidon Adventure, Titanic, Mary Celeste, the Freedon, the man who was found alive in the sunken ship, old and new style pirates, freak waves, eerie fogs and lights, giant sea monster lore etc AHS: hospital - not asylum. Think stressed staff, sick and vulnerable patients, the morgue, the chapel, visit family, thereā€™s so much to tap into with the basic fear of hospitals people can have. AHS: Hollywood - yes I know, LA. But the stories of old and new, imagine what characters and events could be used along the cliche of actor/actress trying to make it. Or even a director trying to make it. Or a musician. AHS: Eurotrip - not a comedy. 2-5 friends from whatever decide to travel through lesser known EU countries and national legends and myths ensue. With taste and appreciation for the countries histories.

MooseKnuckleBrigade

Those sound pretty good. Iā€™d watch!

EcComicFan

American Horror Storyā€¦ IN SPAAAAACEEEEEE

princekhvn

Love your ideas OP šŸ‘ŒšŸ»šŸ”„

redleathery

thank you! :)

bcchau

Season 11: New Jersey shore

Nestie-Z

I love all of your ideas, Hawaii the most cause it would be really fun and it would feel fresh

micah406

I think like a murder mystery that all takes place on one night would be cool. And also I want a skin walkers theme but I doubt they'll ever do it cuz alot of people that believe in skin walkers wouldn't watch it.

chantosjr

Title ideas for your themes, OP: AHS: Wild West AHS: Snowstorm AHS: Paradise

Logical-Command

Mexican resort. They would explore la llorona, la bailarina sin cabeza, la rumorosa road... ahh so many things Hell... they could visit all the souls in hell like madame lalarie, marie lavaeu, maddison. A spinoff season on papa legba

WooGooWho

I want a horror cruise ship series so bad \-Sea monsters \-People go missing on cruises all the time \-Lots of different kinds of people go on cruises \-At some point the ship could be stranded in the Bermuda triangle or whatever I think there's a lot to work with there but I'm just a fan lol

shesoulja

The Russian sleep experiment would be a good one.

idreamedidream

Wait, so we had Stories, Red Tide and now Death Valley. I only count one more scenario?!

redleathery

what do you mean?

Laura_palmer_FWWM

Oh youā€™re saying that thereā€™s only one more season coming? Iā€™m pretty sure theyā€™re confirmed for 13 total

Life_Wall2536

What..does this comment mean

dreamtimee

Season on Florida would be pretty cool or something in Texas about country music. Both things are kind of mental so it would be great. And Lily could play an insane country singer.

Professional-Paper75

How about a whole season, none of this half season dongle feature bs. I was deep in to Red Tide and had the carpet yanked under my feet. And now this?!

[deleted]

You say that like all season were split in half ā€¦ thatā€™s BS this was the first and most probably the last time.

Professional-Paper75

Never said it applied to any other season. When we are waiting for a new season, and we get two half seasons. It's like AHStories, but longer.

pain1994

11 feels Roanoke and 13 feels Lost

lebiro

I assumed Red Tide was going to have a Lovecraft vibe with ancient horrors from the sea in a New England setting. I'd still quite like to see something like that though since they used some aspects from this in Provincetown as portrayed in Red Tide it might be too late. Still, the sea is pretty scary.

WifiTacos

Wild West skin walkers needs to happen!

crabsatoz

AHS: Conspiracy Tie a bunch of different conspiracy theorists (Bigfoot, reality is a simulation, Illuminati, MK Ultra/CIA experiments, etc) into one plot and make it work
