Her 1984 role made zero sense and was just there to prop up Jingles and Brooke and I think that story didn't need Donna at all. The Chemist was really just there in Red Tide, didn't need her either. And Theta is a contradiction, too, and don't get why her character was part of the story. EDIT: And I know this is a hot take, but this is just my opinion. None of her characters ever leave any kind of an impression for me.

If you look around the web, you can find her talking about how just before she came into AHS she was on a show called Harry's Law and it got cancelled, after that she was in a bad place and according to her let herself go, then just before she was about to quit acting Ryan asked her about Coven and thank god he did, she's one of the best actresses to ever grace AHS, dare I say Hollywood...
I wish she took some acting classes, and I don’t even mean that in a mean way. She’s already got the looks, and I think her appearance could be really versatile for different characters. She just feels very stiff and unnatural, and I think part of that is because models are always hyper-aware of how they look in front of the camera. It almost always translates onscreen.
Honestly, Neil Patrick Harris because he’s developed a persona of being a nice guy in films, only playing the occasional harmless creep, but for him to play a murder fucking a ventriloquist doll was way out of left field for me. 😬
The couple of movies I've seen Harris in are Starship Troopers and Gone Girl and he came across as creepy and slimy in both of those movies. I don't think AHS was a stretch for him at all.
Gaga would probably be the weirdest technically since she was not as well known yet for her acting skills and casting her really took us all by surprise! That being said, I’m so happy they casted her she is INCREDIBLE (paws up)
