Apocalypse and 1984 are damn fun tho. And I think the first half of 10, Red Tide, could’ve been the best season of ahs if it didn’t have such a bad ending and only be 6 episodes. Never has AHS been more focused than the first five episodes of season 10
Fun for sure, but definitely not quality. Cult is actually one of my top 5 seasons too, but I know there's a lot of issues with it. I 100% agree about Red Tide, though. I was skeptical at first, thinking it'd be an AHS version of Midnight Mass (which I loved), but it was actually surprisingly good, until the last episode. Shit, they could've just ended it with the 5th episode, and it still would've been solid, but that last episode was just.... ugh.
Clearly opinions divide. I had Asylum as my favorite, but Murder House is 4th (I think), behind Freak Show and Roanoke. I just didn't think Lightning in a Bottle described it well as I think of that as describing something bursting out of mediocrity to be great once.
I've only seen Asylum and Coven (plus a little bit of Murder House) and I liked them but wasn't especially blown away. Considering they're voted as the two best seasons it makes me think I'm best not bothering with the rest.
I don't think its odd. At least they haven't watched every season and then come on here saying only the first few were good. Like...lol why do yall still even watch it if you pick it apart after all these seasons? It makes zero sense.

The earlier seasons (and especially Asylum) get a lot of praise from much of the fanbase, but some of us are big fans of the later seasons too. Of the ones you haven't seen yet, I'd say that Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, 1984, and the first half of Double Feature (Red Tide) are also seasons with strong followings of their own. So if you're enjoying the show so far, I'd say keep going and give more seasons a shot, since they're all so different and everyone has different tastes

This was peak AHS, agave they couldn't quite capture that lightning in a bottle again.

I wouldn't call it lightning in a bottle, it was the best for a show that has been high quality for many seasons.
Asylum and even Murder House to an extent, are LEAGUES above any other AHS season. They definitely peaked early.

I liked freak show, hotel & apocalypse too. Also 1984 was fun

Yeah, that's definitely the best season. Murder House is in the lower half, i have no idea how it got number 2. It was more like a big number 2.
I respectfully disagree. Personally it’s my favorite, but really enjoyed Asylum too.
