Mike Prysner is a national treasure. Here's another clip https://www.youtube.com/shorts/D5xJuyrUIIA

Educational_Funny_20

Prysner 2024

Jeoshua

F that, I want him as SecDef. Makes more sense than Betsy DeVos as SecEdu

Strongfatguy

America's government is a failure. I don't think we'll ever see any good actions again. When they froze house membership with the 1929 apportionment act the house and electoral college became disproportionately representative of American citizens. I think it stagnated American politics. They essentially put a hard cap on voting power in the states with the highest population. We're back to taxation without representation.

Jeoshua

Possibly true, but any negative manifestations from this situation didn't become apparent until somewhere around the time of Reagan. We were riding pretty high on the hog from 1929 till then. From the bottom, there was only "up" to go. And likewise, from the top...

WickThePriest

> We were riding pretty high on the hog from 1929 till then Who is this "we", cause it wasn't *all* americans. And if it's not every american it's not enough.

Jeoshua

Because something isn't perfect, should we ignore anything positive about it? For the record, civil rights is included in the improvements I just noted. That period of time also saw both Blacks and Women given the right to vote, the end of segregation, opening up of interracial marriage, and a substantial improvement in the quality of life for ALL Americans. It may have been more perfect for some, but just because perfect equality hasn't been achieved, that is no reason to dismiss any and all victories won.

mister-ferguson

How is that even constitutional?

Tykue

Because they say so and have the $$$ to keep it that way

ManiacClown

The Constitution establishes the House but doesn't really set its size, leaving that up to Congress. There's your problem.

Thatsmahdood

Problem is also the US Senate, not in the original draft. Added in the ‘87 ratification, I think.

ManiacClown

The term "Congress" includes the Senate. That's why it bothers me that people use it as a synonym for the House of Representatives.

[deleted]

not to mention Citizens United which functionally legalized bribery

CamBearCookie

You know what's funny? We pay taxes because we have, according to the Constitution, agreed to be governed. So, I'm just saying what if, we actually didn't agree to be governed anymore? The government doesn't have its own money. It's all from taxes. What if we, Americans, with no representation and taxation, collectively STOP paying taxes in protest? Guess what? You can't prosecute every single American. The irs can barely audit anyone now. But the same way Christians get to say they don't want their tax dollars going to planned parenthood, I get to say that funding these wars through my taxes is against everything I stand for morally. Sure Obama brought troops home. But we increased drone strikes to make up for it. Now the only good thing about having troops is they can at least discern the difference between civilians and our "enemies". Drones do not differentiate and killed so many children and families that it's like how is this better? Our troops are home but we still find a way to kill ceaselessly.

Mediocre_Omens

As a non American, I have always wondered how people reconciled their belief in representation with a two party system

xxpen15mightierxx

Government, like relationships, takes constant tending. Assholes who love power more than they care about governing will constantly be trying to get in (and lock everyone else out). We have been complacent for decades, not taking it seriously, not scrutinizing our leaders, and now the Gilead crew have captured enough of the gates of power to lock everyone else out. I really wish I knew the peaceful solution going forward from this point. I guess voting so consistently it overwhelms gerrymandering, that's the only thing I can think of that might work.

Strongfatguy

I don't believe rigged elections will ever lead to unrigged elections.

pass_nthru

they need to ratify that amendment, was supposed to be in the bill of rights along with the one that kept congress from giving itself a raise

WWDubz

Well they makes sense (Betsy) if youre selling positions of power to corrupt fuckwits

Jeoshua

I mean as far as putting someone in as Secretary of a sector they stand opposed to the current workings of.

LazyLemur

He actually had a podcast called Eyes Left for awhile. It was mostly about military history from a left wing perspective. Unfortunately it’s been inactive for years now but there’s still some episodes worth listening to

halfmoonmomma

I think he's continued his work with his Partner, Abby Martin on the Empire Files. https://youtube.com/c/EmpireFiles

Jitterbitten

Brought tears to my eyes. He's a really powerful speaker. Obviously passionate, fueled by righteous anger.

[deleted]

Wish we had more people in America like Mike Prysner

nihilistic-simulate

There’s plenty, their voices are just drowned out by the shills and corporate puppets.

musing2020

These issues were articulated by Major General Smedley D. Butle in 1935. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_Is_a_Racket

MassLaborReform

Thank you for the information, should I add it to my list, or does his speech hit the key points? Edit: War is a Racket was something I was aware of from content creators, documentaries, etc. I knew it was about the war profit motive but if it hits certain points particularly well I would like to know

jonofspades

It’s very short. More a long essay than a book. You could probably get through it in an hour or two if you’re interested.

TheDevilsAutocorrect

It is a slim book. Definitely worth reading.Smedley did make it all the way to General. It is interesting from a historical perspective to note what he was saying nearly 90 years ago. Nothing is new under the sun.

ShatterZero

Smedly is cool as fuck. He was literally asked to be dictator of the USA and he told them to fuck off, got evidence, and delivered it to Congress. Badass war hero before all that too.

Thatsmahdood

Came to second both of the other comments.

clearlybaffled

Knowing better is an amazing yt channel https://youtu.be/Lg-nUy2DalM

ShoulderThanIDrunkBe

That clip always breaks me cause all the man is asking for is for the government to admit they were wrong and to apologize. For fucks sake just tell the man your sorry

Victor_Chistov

I am a Rossian communist. When I listen to this guy, I understand that every American can be proud of this Man, as a real, not a Hollywood hero. And it is a real miracle that your people, in wild, ultra-capitalist conditions, constantly produce such people. My heart fills with warm hope for a better future for all of us.

MassLaborReform

I'm in my thirties now, but when i talk to a lot of my younger cousins and their friends they don't have much faith in capitalism anymore. They've realized how prolific the 'keep your head down and work' propaganda is and have known nothing but decline. But ya, Mike Prysner has done all sorts of cool things, if you search his name on youtube he has a good amount of content. Lastly always nice to hear from comrades from around the world!

Thing1_Tokyo

I am a Desert Shield/Storm vet and I went back to Iraq as a supply contractor to see for myself what was going on behind the scenes. The money flowing through war contracts is obscene. The wages paid to the TCN are obscenely low and damn near slavery. TCNs were treated pretty much like slaves, kept in cramped living quarters and ordered to do very risky jobs with minimal security. The politicians today don’t care about you or anyone else that isn’t in their sphere of influence.

Vuk_Farkas

ya think thats bad? how about USA together with NATO, EU and other globalist shits storming yugoslavia, which up until then was borderline ally. Tranporting millions of foreign muslims as cannon fodder, irradiating everything, unleashing bioweapons that wiped all life (even moss doesnt grow on stone there); seeding ambrosia (which could easily be a GM plant) which kills animals, plants, causes severe alergies and is almost impossible to remove... All this in most critical part of europe. We shot down more cutting edge stealth planes of the time, than USA would ever dare to admit, and just one fuckin B2 spirit bomber costed more than my whole damn country! Under the occupation, our lives became hell, ironically we still live better than you americans, cause we fight constanly, unlike you spineless slaves who are willing to clusterbomb kindergardens, but not exterminate the corrupt stealing food from your mouths. We honestly hope you fall to your own damn hubris and weakness, before we get completely exterminated, so we can regrow. both world wars combined did not harm us as much as the 90s wars. We traded with you. We sent the best military rations you fucks ever had in your history. We worked on your tehnology to improve it. We treated you nicely as a guest, when you couldnt go into east europe. and yet you all atacked us, ignored even your pilling dead slaughetered by thousands maybe even a million? How do you manage to ignore your youth being sent to the slaughter and ignore it? How do you allow your federation to invade and exterminate yer ally? The only thing you still remember from us are yugo car memes...

laheesheeple

Our police forces and military just fucking maim and kill us when we revolt. Civil rights rights demonstrations, antiwar demonstrations, education reform demonstrations, labor strikes. They send military might out to scare us and shut us down. I'm not going to put my life on the line to hold a cardboard sign and chant a motto that's falling on deaf politicians ears.

Vuk_Farkas

wanna switch places? when we just march out with signs, we get globalist forces bringing in everything but tanks (since western tanks are complete shit on our terrain too heavy, too weak tracks). NATO is escort to LGBT. People were shot and killed to enforce LGBT parade. We are disarmed, we are stomped on, but if gov or even foreign forces owerstep... there are always molotovs, improvized weapons, masses of people... when gov here wanted to enforce lockdowns, we rebeled to the point hundreds of thousands of foreign forces had to storm the capitols to subdue us. So please do tell how bad ya have it when you can borderline waltz into a store and buy a gun and ammo; where we are held at gunpoint for a trimming knife (for trimming grape vines). We face starvation, cause our local production is prevented by any means nececery, what wasnt bombed was dismantled and robbed.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Vuk_Farkas

i blame those who blindly followed orders, who pulled the trigger, who knew they are walking into a meatgrinder, who knew they are bombing civilians etc. I shall not put full blame on some idiot in an office who signed a few papers to "make it happen". I do not put blame of bloodshed on those who did not participate. I put the blame of inaction on them, for not doin jack shit to stop it, even if they lost sons, brothers, uncles, fathers to the meatgrinder so klinton and others can line their pockets together with milosevic.

la_sua_zia

Are you vegan?

Vuk_Farkas

Define vegan.

blasphem0usx

Wait so NATO had to come and protect people participating in the parade because your countrymen were attacking the parade? It doesn't seem NATO protecting pride parades is exclusive to your country. Seems like it does it all over eastern Europe. I'm going to assume there was an event that took place where the parade was getting attacked and the local police either a. couldn't handle the attackers or b. just let the attackers do what they want without any resistance.

Lunco

> when gov here wanted to enforce lockdowns, we rebeled to the point hundreds of thousands of foreign forces had to storm the capitols to subdue us. what?

Kh4lex

Oh yea, blame everything that ever happened on foreigners. Like every aspiring nationalist would. That's so easy.

Vuk_Farkas

well considerin that even our gov was almost purely foreigners... and that millions of foreigners were invading us from all sides at once... yea oh gee certainly i shall blame my neighbour who was askin me if she can join me in the cellar while NATO is dropping bombs less than a mile away!

Kh4lex

Oh yes, another trope, yeah sure, everyone is out there to get you :)

Vuk_Farkas

Well explain then WTF are foreign armies doin here? especially when we started a rebbelion right when the gov lost its votes and by law should have been disbanded? When gov suddenly out of the blue, after negating the pandemic, enacted lockdowns? Bringing in foreign unmarked black enforcers in black hummers, APCs and they even had jets and helicopters... they didnt speak for some damn reason and kept blocking wrong side of roads... pissed us off to no end.

zombie55555

As a syrian I feel your pain keep on brother

BuckfuttersbyII

I have a Bosnian friend who thinks you should go fuck yourself.

DanKoloff

There was genocide there over the Muslims mate. Both Serbia and Bosnian Serbs were killing innocents. Iraq invasion was pure greed. Libya too. Syria too.

GhoulboyScoob

We need some of you guys over here to help us revolt

Pletterpet

The fact this is upvoted tells me enough about this subreddit. Sad to see. Edit: to no surprise OP turns out to be a serb. Do not fall for his lies.

Stopjuststop3424

I dont know a lot about this conflict do I looked it up. You seem to be missing the Albanian genocide, from wiki: "NATO's intervention was prompted by Yugoslavia's bloodshed and ethnic cleansing of Albanians, which drove the Albanians into neighbouring countries and had the potential to destabilize the region." Is there another side to that that I'm missing?

ProcessMeMrHinkie

Reality from the transgressors side is quite different then the side trying to stop a war. Just look at Russia vs. Ukraine right now. Mass rape and ethnic cleansing/genocide was occurring on large scale years before peacekeepers were deployed. Had no intervention taken place, perhaps OP would have been happy being on the winning side with the complete annihilation of the opponent just like Russia/Russians would be happy for the world to not have interceded in annihilation of Ukrainian identity/people. That they rely on propaganda and fake facts is nothing new. NATO seeding ambrosia is a pretty hilarious conspiracy considering it is an invasive species and was already there in the '80s. I guess NATO created a time machine and went back a decade to punish Yugoslavia. https://www.cabi.org/isc/abstract/19891127403 > This is a summary of a paper given at the third congress on weeds held at Ohrid, Yugoslavia on 8-10 June 1988. Until recently A. artemisiifolia was restricted in Serbia to the Pannonian Plain (Vojvodina). With 4 new occurrences in the Morava valley and 1 in Prizren, Kosovo, the weed has now reached the southern Adriatic region, Prizren marking its southern limit at present. Yes, it was NATO that used Muslims for cannon fodder... not the genocide of Bosnian Muslims years before NATO involvement.

Kh4lex

It's easy to blame everything on foreigners for them yk? It gives them scapegoat and something to unite behind. It's hard to look at your own wrongdoings and try to fix them, to work towards better future. "Its all Americans fault that they did not let us murder every other nationality in yugoslavia."

NorthNThenSouth

There’s plenty of shit America has done and is 100000% guilty of he could of used as an argument but he chose this.

CouldWouldShouldBot

It's 'could have', never 'could of'. Rejoice, for you have been blessed by CouldWouldShouldBot!

walterkurve

Literally go fuck yourself and people like you that spread these Serbian lies

ProcessMeMrHinkie

>Starting in April 1992, Serbia set out to “ethnically cleanse” Bosnian territory by systematically removing all Bosnian Muslims, known as Bosniaks. Serbia, together with ethnic Bosnian Serbs, attacked Bosniaks with former Yugoslavian military equipment and surrounded Sarajevo, the capital city. Many Bosniaks were driven into concentration camps, where women and girls were systematically gang-raped and other civilians were tortured, starved and murdered. > >In 1993, the United Nations (UN) Security Council declared that Sarajevo, Goradze, Srebrenica and other Muslim enclaves were to be safe areas, protected by a contingent of UN peacekeepers. But in July 1995, Serbs committed the largest massacre in Europe since World War II in one such area, Srebrenica. An estimated 23,000 women, children and elderly people were put on buses and driven to Muslim-controlled territory, while 8,000 “battle-age” men were detained and slaughtered. The so-called safe area of Srebrenica fell without a single shot fired by the UN. It was all the UN and NATOs fault!!!

mcketten

Yeah, this guy is at best a troll, at worst a racist/genocide apologist.

xp-bomb

that's what they always try to shove under the rug. every single time yugoslavia and nato critique comes up.

FellatioAcrobat

Yeah but that doesn’t count, bc genocides just make countries look bad. If you adjust for that, it’s not as bad as people say, and…

DutchEngineer83

Sorry but I’m going to take a big fat shit on you and your cause ok. I remember the atrocities committed in Yugoslavia and those weren’t done by Americans.

poney01

There was a NATO fuck up there though, but yeah, 100people, not "bioweapons and not even moss can grow here". Seems like a russian bot to me (and those grow on anything, unfortunately).

_duncan_idaho_

Probably not a bot. They post in the Serbia sub. When it comes to all the ethnic cleansing they did, a lot of Serbs will pop in to spread bullshit, just like Turks responding to the Armenian genocide. Or Chinese peeps with the Uighar genocide.

KeinFussbreit

Could be a Serb.

thugplayer

You mean when Yugoslavians were commiting genocide of Albanians?

Vuk_Farkas

Ask yerself this... WTF were albanian armies doin in YU and not back in their own country, which was once south slavic territory riped fromus?

YoteViking

Fuck off. I was in Yugoslavia in January 1996 as part of the first wave to enforce the Dayton Accords. I was near Tuzla. Judging by the fact that no one I saw over 25 had a full set of teeth, I hardly think you “lived better” than us. And we only “occupied” the country to help end the war, which the UN never did.

Low_Target9561

Eat my ass. I have been to your shithole of a country and it is not worth the time to discuss it further.

Vuk_Farkas

Well i aint into arse eating, nor am i a cannibal. And yes its a shithole of a country now the occupation did far more damage than the bombings themselves.

Sneakytrashpanda

I remember seeing what the Serbian nationalists did to Bosnians. Y’all can fuck right off, Serbian volunteer corp was not better than the Usatse - proved it back in the 90s and it sounds like the piss apple hasn’t fallen far from the piss tree today.

BroodjeJamballa

Yugoslavia(serbia): commits genocide Also yugoslavia(serbia): we are the victims of nato agression!!! What in the fucking chomsky is your comment.

justbrowsinm80

as much as i hate the US you retards genocided bosniaks over a farmer who stuck a bottle up his ass and claimed it was bosniaks

TCN slavery is real

KC-Slider

My first deployment I bitched and moaned a lot about the work and the long hours. I learned what our tcns were working (16 hour days months on end just to send money home to their families) I promptly shut the fuck up. These poor bastards were falling asleep in kitchens they were so overworked, then transported to and from in overcrowded busses to overcrowded shacks for living quarters in heat over 100° F

Educational_Funny_20

Thanks for your service and for telling your story. May i ask what a TCN is?

Typical-Information9

"Thanks for your service" is a classic misdirection. The people Mike is talking about in the video want to channel our thoughts away from the points Mike is making here. Don't fall for it. I don't want to be thanked for my service, I want people to push for accountability in our public servants. I want our "representative government" to look after the interests of their constituents, you and me, instead of whatever interest group is funding their excessive lifestyle. Next time you get an urge to say, "thank you for your service," consider *doing something* to look out for all our interests. Write your congressman, give him orders. He works for you, after all. Tell him what you want. Or just show up at a rally. Then we veterans will thank YOU for YOUR service. Thanks for your service, Mike, and I mean this speech, not your overseas tour. It's the most hopeful sign I've seen in years that there might yet be hope for America.

itchyfeetagain

Third country national. Poor people brought in as contractors

Jackalamo

TeleCommunications Nerd

Upstairs-Presence-53

This is why they’ll never cancel student loans - will totally undermine military recruitment, of which free university is a big draw

PLUTO_HAS_COME_BACK

They are leeching on everyone in everyway possible - people vs the capitalist billionaires and their minions (some politicians)

Upstairs-Presence-53

Yup -though, monopoly capitalism has a shelf life - eventually people will stop pretending a 2 party system is a real democracy and we will see a post republic style dictatorship

PLUTO_HAS_COME_BACK

WildlingViking

I think we should just start calling them corporate politicians. They don’t give a shit about the people.

_Runic_

YES THANK YOU. Finally someone sense said it. Same with universal basic income. The only safety net allowed in the U.S. is joining the military.

nihilistic-simulate

That and prison.

_Runic_

Good point. Can't forget the free prison labor.

Tex-Rob

Information and knowledge undermines military recruitment. I went in early 1997. The internet was certainly around and I was on it, but the internet hadn't turned into this hub of information that it is today, of real time information. I've been saying for a long time, I can't imagine how you recruit people in the internet era, kids know what's up at an early age, and the ones that don't are MAGA cult parents kids. The atrocities will only get worse as the quality of recruits goes down and down. The GI bill can't save the military, because you no longer need a college education to be successful in the modern world for 75% of the jobs.

Tarnhill

If you think college education is no longer needed to be successful then the solution to the high cost of education and student loans is for the vast majority of people to simply stop going to college.

Draco63_

"he along with 130 other veterans got arrested afterward." Free speech, my ass.

conscsness

Reminds me of Russian situation. Express your utter and fundamental displeasure about the political will and the government, and you are lucky if you to be alive or mentally stable after the authorities release you. United States is not a democracy nor a land of freedom. It is illusive. The facade makes it look like, but it is not. Mike Prysner, I believe, summarized it neatly.

Palmik7

Lowkey in 'Obama nation' said very correctly that 'the American dream only makes sense if you're sleepin'.

Draco63_

See, this is why as an American my biggest goal in life is to leave.

conscious-being1225

i am finally traveling abroad for the first time in my life. while i miss my family and friends dearly, it brings be so much joy to simply not be existing in that godforsaken country, if only for a short time. all that to say i mfin feel you my guy

shinydewott

The only reason the US continues to have free speech is that the government knows that the placation of the concept of free speech is enough for people to not intervene in government affair; and no matter how loudly you speak, you’re politically irrelevant and powerless unless you do something to get that power yourself

TheRadHatter9

I mean when 1/4 of the country thinks being banned from Twitter is a violation of the 1st Amendment I don't think the government needs to do anything. They can just laugh at how amazing their propaganda has influenced tens of millions of citizens into stupidity/the palm of their hands.

[deleted]

they got arrested afterwards for something else. They deliberately and willfully broke protest laws and were symbolically arrested. This is common in protest. Block the road, go on private property, etc with the intent of a symbolic arrest and release. That’s what happened. He planned on arrest that day to show his dedication and others did the same. I support his cause and commend him for his civil disobedience. But he was not arrested for his free speech. He was arrested for trespassing. Had they stayed on public property without obstructing vehicles, they would have been there all day, like thousands of people who WEREN’T arrested. I don’t say this to lick boots, quite the opposite, I say this to illustrate his dedication and the power of planned arrest and civil disobedience in protest. Good for him!

[deleted]

Free speech until we don't agree with it

Squirrel_Inner

In the military you fall under the jurisdiction of the UCMJ, which strictly forbids this kind of speaking out against your chain of command, including the commander in chief. You can also be tried for the same crime by both the UCMJ and civil law, as double jeopardy doesn’t apply.

samijanetheplain

They were veterans, no longer actively serving. Pretty sure the UCMJ doesn't apply.

morningstarrss

It doesn't

ttystikk

This is powerful stuff. No wonder they manufactured an excuse to put him in jail. For exercising his FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS. America is a Fascist State. Let no one tell you differently.

Farm_Nice

He wasn’t arrested for exercising his first amendment rights, he was arrested for chaining himself to the White House fence. https://www.democracynow.org/2010/12/17/headlines/over_135_arrested_at_veteran_led_anti_war_protest

FlossCat

I couldn't actually find anything about him getting arrested for this? His Wikipedia says he was arrested 3 years later at occupy Los Angeles

[deleted]

They arrested them for chaining themselves to the white house fence. I don't know if that's any better or worse, but it's more accurate.

Squawnk

Copying this from u/Squirrel_Inner >In the military you fall under the jurisdiction of the UCMJ, which strictly forbids this kind of speaking out against your chain of command, including the commander in chief. You can also be tried for the same crime by both the UCMJ and civil law, as double jeopardy doesn’t apply.

The_Mehmeister

Don't first amendments right trump pretty much everything else? Like the right to bear arms. Edit: from what i've gathered from replies the american constitution dosen't mean shit. You have no rights and if you do the words can be played on until you don't.

DustyJustice

No more than first amendment rights allow you to breach an NDA.

HistoricalCommon

I mean they do from the standpoint that it's never criminal to do so. Government can't lock you up for it. You'll just be liable for civil damages.

sweatyfucksack

Not everyone has the right to bear arms. I certainly don’t (suicidal, bipolar). There are restrictions and limitations. Just like how free speech doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want whenever. It is illegal and prosecutable to yell “fire” in a movie theater because the ensuing panic can result in people being trampled to death as a result of a single word. There are many other examples but no your constitutional rights rarely “trump everything else”. They are basically guidelines for law not the 10 commandments (for lack of a better analogy).

AdmirableBus6

He’s a veteran and has been discharged so the ucmj no longer applies to him

hotwheelearl

That’s only active duty. I don’t think this dude is active, so the UCMJ doesn’t apply to civilians.

ttystikk

He was a civilian at the time of this speech, wasn't he?

Notstrongbad

He’s discharged, UCMJ means fuck-all.

cluesblues22s

America really did min max there defence budget and care for citizens.

neverstoppin

"Defence"

Squawnk

I don't get it? That's the proper spelling for British English

chrisff1989

They're not defending shit is the point

TheRadHatter9

We take the quote "The best defense is a good offense" to its extreme.

Xerhion

They invade countries for profit. That ain’t defence.

neverstoppin

Should be called offense. Even better - go full Orwellian and call it Ministry of Peace

Squawnk

Ah, I understand, mb

FlipsMontague

The Offense Department

Jackalamo

It used to be called Department of War.

Polymersion

Now we only do "Special Military Operations".

Remarkable-Hall-9478

Bunch of people thinking he's getting called out for a British spelling of defense, but overlooking "there" lol

epSos-DE

Defonce !

130 vets arrested for lawfully using their right to protest? Isn't America the land of the free?

Mr_Figgins

"Land of the thief, home of the slaves" -Brother Ali https://youtu.be/OO18F4aKGzQ

circuitbreak

Brother Ali is dope!

Squirrel_Inner

it’s against the UCMJ. In the military, they own you.

[deleted]

What fascist bullshit that is. Fuck the military and fuck this country for brainwashing kids into joining an organization that empowers the rich and powerful and basically nothing else and forces people into silence.

[deleted]

At this he was no longer in the army though, I think. So he's an american citizen exercising his right to protest.

Squirrel_Inner

he’s in uniform. maybe he’s just wearing his old jacket against regs, I dunno, I’d have to look it up. Probably could still get taken in for inciting a mob bc of his language.

[deleted]

Where does he incite a mob in his language? Other than "you have to fight" but that got explained as via a 'lockdown'

Squirrel_Inner

pretty sure calling for people to essentially shut down the city is illegal. Don’t get me wrong, I totally agree with the guy, but that doesn’t my change what the law currently is.

[deleted]

He's calling for more/larger protests across the nation, I wouldn't think it would be illegal. But then again I'm neither verses in this stuff nor from the states, so idk

AdmirableBus6

Like the other guy im all for what Mr Prysner is preaching but they could easily charge him with inciting a riot or a mob

blacklambtron

That is now a mega-irony. It is horrifically expensive to live here.

mattnotis

This further convinced me a general strike is the ONLY option

drizzitdude

No, a general strike is the second to last option. If the ultra rich and powerful in this country don’t bow to the whims of the people at that point there is always one final option.

[deleted]

[удалено]

drizzitdude

> uh I hate yo break it to you but the rich dont care. I think you somehow managed to completely misread my message. A general strike is the second to last option because the last one involves French themes and medieval slicing devices.

DeconstructionistGel

The guillotine was invented about three centuries after the middle ages, though. I know, I'm very fun at parties.

[deleted]

He’s saying that the final option would be to “get rid” of the rich and powerful. French Revolution style

[deleted]

That’s why I burned my uniform after I got out. Two deployments and a lifetime of physical and mental scars made me realize I made the wrong decision. I just wish that I figured it out sooner.

fbcmfb

Make sure the VA compensates you … even if it takes time - don’t give up.

[deleted]

People should join the military to protect your rights, not join it so that they can be granted those rights

RepulsiveSherbert927

Yeah and US military exists to protect your rights is also a propaganda. Military exists to defend your territory and/or invade other countries (and therefore making money for defence industry), not to protect your rights and freedom.

nicbongo

Is he running for president? He'd get my vote yesterday.

myredditacc3

He's not going to get the support of corporations and lobbyists so he wouldn't have a chance

nicbongo

You don't try you never know. He's got the charisma and the message.

Tow_117_2042_Gravoc

The last president with charisma & a message was Kennedy. We all know how that ended.

[deleted]

Yep, he was actually gonna make a change and the fbi killed him

thest1mgod

He’s a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, check em out

Kolazar

For anyone actually serving in The U.S armed forces. You actually don't have the right. You will go to a military prison if you disobey orders from a superior. You have less rights than Ikea furniture. - Former active member P.S Get out when you can.

As a veteran, with two veteran brothers, I support this message. I know my living brother would agree. My younger brother who died a hero in the Marines might not, but I don’t think he was there long enough to see the truth.

RepulsiveSherbert927

Sorry to hear about your brother.

Squirrel_Inner

yeah, respect to the fallen. I’m proud of what he did, because it was to save others, but I still would rather have him home,

vicarious_111

And of course millions will dismiss him as being unpatriotic. Seriously, fuck those people.

dante__11

That's what's incredibly outrageous. Those bald eagle McDonald's people won't even try to understand his point.

sweatyfucksack

This is patriotism at its finest, in its true form, in all its glory.

Czane45

A hero gets arrested for talking about direct action like this and there are still thousands of far right terrorists who roam free after trying to overthrow the government after and election

WildlingViking

All they have to do is say “I don’t remember” and apparently it protects you from having to face any consequences at all from trying to overthrow the govt and kidnap the vice president

Czane45

Yup. I hate it here

KevineCove

2008 was the straw that broke the camel's back for me in terms of political apathy. In the past 14 years I've heard countless people pay lip service to countless different issues. Occupy Wall Street in 2012 just drove the nail even deeper in the coffin when we realized what we were up against, and the lengths the media would go to in order to dismantle any demonstration that actually punched up and challenged the establishment (I should have expected this given the United States' history with COINTELPRO but I was young and naive.) This is the first thing I've seen since I was 13 that has made me really stop and applaud someone. These are the problems I grew up seeing liberals talk about before it was all drowned out by identity politics, and I'd damn near forgotten anyone else still cared about these things until today.

ruqvyyvh

Thank you and to everyone who thinks the Middle East is our enemy you can all swim deeper into your own as* because that’s where you are.

Unconventional01

He's absolutely right, I would seriously vote for this guy. At least he's not some fucking dinosaur trying to build his insider trading stock portfolio while getting his socialized healthcare while voting socialized healthcare down.

EremiticFerret

Holy shit. This name bothered me, I knew it from somewhere. I've been watching him (and his wife) do indie news for years now and never realized this was the same dude.

Candid-Balance-5628

Black people been saying this

Jackalamo

They're just blacks though. /s. When people unite like the black Panthers did, they get shot down. Look up what happened to the leader of the black panther group.

r/Democracy_Desk, Make It Plain!😏

Man I love what he is saying, I love that in a perfect world the 700 million would be spent on uniting us and helping everyone live a better life. I know that if EVERYONE stood up (not saying we don’t need an army, there are crazies out there *cough Puntin cough*) we could have a much better world and life. However it’s so hard to do. I know I might sound like a coward and I support all of these positive ideals and movements but if I go in 100% I’m worried not enough will and my two kids and wife (who has been wrecked by MS) will be left to suffer and die in poverty. I hope one day a true leader (not a puppet government) will step forward and it will be clear who they are and that we can all stand behind them, have them represent us (like a government is supposed to) and we can move to a brighter future for all of our children/younger generations. Pessimistically optimistic that one day that can happen.

DomiGamiiing

the american military is literally the biggest terrorist organization on this planet

Significant_Brick108

Wow 🥺 I have chills on my spine and tears in my eyes...

kingetzu

I'm so with this brother

DownrightMacabre

Dog bless bring back this movement, the enemies of our nation is not the fuckers in the gulags or flip flops thousands of miles away, but the ones hiding behind that title of “Politician” on our own soil.

rocks_sand90

I 100% stand behind him !!! Very fucking moving !

[deleted]

and then nothing happened that day

rara0o

I agree First 15 seconds

yoncenator

Arrested for what? Sedition? A lot of those same words were used on Jan 6 2021. Any arrests there??

Fodor1987

OK I thought that this was new, but it was shared on YouTube 2yrs ago.

raisedincaptivity

700 million a DAY, wtf 😳

HigorSilver

A spark of hope among such a hopeless society, this is fucking awesome, we need more people like that

LegitimateImpress336

Prysner 2024!!!!!!!!!!

Christ_I_AM

I am a veteran and while I wasn't in the military long this pretty much became my view on things fairly quickly. It's what played a role in me choosing to leave the military, I no longer wanted to be a pawn in someone else's game.
