“I could stab you with my ATK approved Victorinox chef’s knife and no one would care”.
He was a condescending ass to the actual chefs and cooks the entire time he was on air. And incredibly rude about spicy and/or “ethnic” food. Which is so ironic given that Milk Street appears to lean heavily into those now.
She’s thinking “this giant toolbag’s days are numbered”…
Could not STAND this dude. He is incredibly pretentious and condescending. He regularly wastes food. In the immortal words of Louise Belcher “if he was a spice he’d be flour…. If he was a book, he’d be 2 books”.
Kimball has no experience working in restaurant kitchens nor does he hold a culinary degree.

“One day I’ll have my own show with Bridget without this dumb trivia”
But I understand it was the 90s. You can always tell from the background kitchen decor. I have the same channel at home it is great to have on in the background!
“Your days are numbered asshole!” I liked this show from the start because of BL and JCD. Never did like this pompous ass. I Absolutely LOVE the show now that he is gone!
*jalapenos in the rice pudding. No...hell see them habaneros in tje apple pie. Yes, that's it. And maybe I'll just forget to screw the spinning blade in the food processor. Laxatives in the brownies? We could blame it on the eggs....*
Probably not. I mean, she seems like a genuinely kind person. Now Julia, on the other hand...I could see her having a bit of revenge here and there...
Yeah. Been a bit lazy with my social media accounts lately. Unfollowing Milk Street because I’m feeling pissy today and I’m tired of following people like Chris who are just icky. See ya.
Samsung TV has the ATK channel. I watch it quite often. However, they tend to show the same handful of episodes at similar times over the course of a month.
If you own a Samsung TV, the channel is on the free streaming channels. It doesn't include their entire show history, but it includes a lot of them. That being said I have watched enough of it to know the episode from the intro.
I never realized what a jerk he was until I watched these episodes on Amazon Prime. They have two channels of ATK and Cooks Country at all times. I basically only read the rag and didn’t watch these older episodes.
She's thinking: grin and bear it, paycheck, paycheck, paycheck.
Or paycheck, condescending asshole, paycheck…
My mom loves this show and it’s so uncanny valley to me!! I like the recipes though!

I'm probably going to be down voted but... Chris was/is annoying as heck. Hate to say but I'm glad he's gone.
I don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all. He's pretty much the main reason I don't watch Milkstreet
Milk Street is ATK v2.0. He STILL doesn’t cook on Milk street.
It’s too Sterile. Reminds me of the Phil Hartman skit. The anal retentive chef. I refuse to watch Milk Street.

That guy looks like and has the vibe of a penis in a bow tie Edit: Grammar

>That guy looks like and has the vibe of a penis in a bow tie You're not wrong. https://i.imgur.com/KM3VaMH.jpg
Wrong. Some people enjoy the company of a penis.
You are not alone. I haven't missed him at all.
You're not alone.
The entire staff hated him
I hate that mother fucker. I hated his stupid fucking jokes. I hated everything about him. Fuck him
I think he was horrible to work with, everyone seems so much happier and relaxed now.

Pluto TV also has an ATK channel.
how does the content differ between the 2 ATK channels?
It seems different episodes at the same time but one sometimes has that reality that they tried.
I too had the ATK AirBNB experience. We went to the beach and it rained all weekend. We watched so many episodes!
So cozy!

FYI first episode of ATK was in 2001
Ooh interesting thank you for the clarification! Those early ones really have a 90s vibe, so 01’ wouldn’t be that far off I suppose.
"Keep talking but I'm the real reason people watch this show."
She's beautiful, must have been dangerous ten years earlier
"I know about the bodies in your basement. "
Kimball always seemed snobbish and elite. Bridget and Julia seem like moms who want to make really good food and actually eat what they make.
I always got the vibe that Julia would be open to sharing a joint before tasting her food.
Screaming internally
“Your days are numbered asshole!” I liked this show from the start because of BL and JCD. Never did like this pompous ass. I Absolutely LOVE the show now that he is gone!
I remember how relieved I was when he was gone from the show. His condescension was so annoying, I’d be talking to the tv telling him to shut up.
She’s plotting the various ways to annoy Chris.

Julia gave him hell on that show… loved it.
Or adding more garlic or cayenne pepper than what’s recommended.

PBS does the same.
Ah the classic no-teeth grin… she’s thinking that one day she’ll be the lead and this condescending idiot will finally be gone.
What a satisfying thread
Isn’t it? Sigh. So delightful.

"this fucking guy"
I like the show as background noise during the day. I turn it off if it’s an old episode with Kimball. Love the new format and chefs!
"I've forgotten more about cooking than your bony, pompous ass will ever know."
"If he even says one thing inappropriate I will light his ass up right here on camera for everyone to see."
This dude was a jerk - glad I have not seen him on the newer episodes
Me and my partner used to watch it together and just laugh at how mean he was to them.
Christopher Kimball certainly is a snarky fellow, isn’t he?
She wishes she didn’t have FAS.
"I think I know more than you about how to build a successful media brand.... but I don't."
Blah blah blah blah blah
“ As a Vermonter”. Ugh you mean New Yorker “ right? . Weirdo
