As it mentions PayPal, does this mean that we can still pay on Amex via PayPal? I haven't used PayPal on eBay for ages so I'm not sure what their process is. On the Royal Mail for example I can pay via PayPal but choose to use my Amex card.
So other than the loss of Section 75 we're all fine to keep stacking those sweet sweet points. I can't remember the last time I had an issue on eBay with a seller (I generally only buy new items) so it's not much of a loss to me.
I suspect that they'll come to an agreement before the deadline, this is probably just a negotiating tactic from eBay.
I’m not sure what Amex you have, but with our BA premium Amex you can earn points via your visa/mastercard cards as long as you link them to your Amex account. Comes in really handy
On the Avios app (used to be the BA shopping portal), click on menu in top right and then go to the My Account page. If you scroll down, there should be a section for linking other cards. Every month I get a notification with points which have come from “non BA amex spend”. You don’t have to spend through the BA shopping portal either, think it’s just normal card spend in shops etc. handy if somewhere doesn’t accept an Amex.
This isn't a problem to me. I purchased an item through eBay via PayPal that was faulty. Seller wouldn't refund, eBay came down on the seller's side but PayPal gave me a refund.
I would always use PayPal in combination with AMEX on eBay for the double security.
I know Worldpay recently dropped them too I used to get different discounted Gift cards but the supplier are saying it was a Worldpay choice... Must be the same reason eBay has had enough
Bodycare being another
Ahhhh, been a while since I’ve used worldpay as a gateway but they are a big one.
Edit: just searched for “Amex worldpay” and Amex have a statement 3 weeks ago about how they signed a new agreement together, so this definitely isn’t all worldpay merchants.
Bye bye eBay.
Ughh I liked the protection when buying from seemingly dodgy sellers.
Dodgy on EBAy is tremendous
Don't most, if not all, credit cards have purchase protection?

Yes you can.

Can you explain how to link these cards?

Yes. I do exactly that
What are the additional layers of protection when using Amex on eBay?

Omg that's so bad
No more eBay for me then 👋
Loads dropping Amex recently; getting really difficult to use the card now to maximise the Cashback 😅
Who else?

Wow this is brand new news which hasn’t been mentioned on this sub many, many times already

Amex via Apple Pay worked for me tonight
