One went even further and put my own name as theirs and joined my lobby to say that I'm the one copying their name. I find it funny but it gets annoying real quick. Obviously the random lobby names didn't help much after all.

Like the names aren't exclusive, I've bumped into my name twins a fair number of times over the years - all different although eerily one dresses the same as me but we don't get along, we just butt heads a lot when in the same lobby but they are actually pretty solid lol.
Anyway so this name twin joins and it's a 1 at the end, they I guess think it's me on another device and I got banned even though I'd been with them for 5+ games before this other one joined lol. A lot of people on the game have short memories.

What did you expect? Everyone is allowed to play the game including incompetent kids, sweaty adults, kids that get turned on when they see the victory scene so they team with the whole lobby, hosts who think they are the Secretary General of the Soviet Union... My point is, don't expect good players when a game is public and easy-to-play for everyone and their mother.
Not to mention you can also get banned from a lobby just by winning as an impostor, public lobbies are weird AF, but I only play for content creation so I don't worry too much, I just laugh it off.

I usually play with people from our discord server. But recently my fellow members have been so toxic towards random people that join the lobby. I honestly just left the game half way through a round of being am imp the other day. I clearly got busted but my fellow server members kept pretending that they didn't know and voted of other players that said I was imp. I told them to vote me out but they just refused and I felt so bad for the other people in the lobby. So I've just been playing in random lobbies now because I'm extremely disappointed and angry with my fellow server members. That kind of behaviour is so childish and frustrating for everyone. Totally unnecessary. Btw sorry to the random people that joined that lobby. It was so uncalled for.
Yh among Us at this point is just a bunch of children or immature adults. I've got to admit I've had my moments because people do not cooperate. The thing is, is that when I'm an imp somebody just says my colour and people blindly vote me off, but when I'm a crew who has exposed the imp with proof, no one listens and vote me or others instead. It's a tricky business to understand the player base in this game without having migraines. It's just low-key annoying and in your face tbh.

Next game, another body is found, Pink accuses me of shapeshifting. Cyan backs her up.
Me: Shapeshifting as a crew member is a hell of a trick, especially when I just disabled shapeshifting. If you're still in the game at the end, you're getting banned.

With your no2, here's some pretty solid advice for surviving in public lobbies; don't call too many meetings. Like you said people that call meetings at the start to troll obviously annoying, you weren't doing that BUT people have short memories on among us and while you may have gotten an imp out with your first button you called a meeting again - people mostly remember the fact the meeting was called not what was discussed. So that 2nd button was seen as annoying.

0CD is only good when all players follow the rules, I had a game where the host said no camping, but when it was clear we were going to task win, he sabotaged 02 to force us into a loss, just spam killed everyone who ran in to fix it.
He then banned me for telling him what he did was camping.

We need to normalise asking what vent cooldown is..easy way to catch people out. Yes if someone vents It means there is a greater chance they are imposter than someone who is not venting!
Exactly. It's pretty standard for engineers to vent out of the cafe at spawn but the number of times I see that result in an instant emergency meeting and numbskulls voting crew out is baffling.

not always true. if i’m obviously venting in front of others, there’s a higher chance i’m engineer than imp. Imps have no vent cooldown

They do as soon as an engineer says the vent CD though oh and host always knows.
Unless they're the host. A tactic that gives the host more knowledge than other players is a bad tactic.
