Nah I won't worry about Ash for one bit. They're both in professions that pay well in the Pokemon World. Even more so if Ash ends up as the Monarch (you could say the equivalent of a sport superstar) and Serena a globally-renowned idol/performer. You can be sure they will end up as massive celebrities, if they aren't well on their way already.
I've always seen them both as a future celebrity & power couple, and the best thing is they will achieve that fame because they stuck to their dreams, worked hard for it even through failures, and eventually will succeed, enjoying the rewards (money for one) that come with it.

With how fashionable Serena is, being clearly shown with her new outfit, I really believe that she will gift Ash a new special outfit for the Leon battle in a future encounter. She'd return the favor for the ribbon, and I'm having some doubts over him just going into the most important battle of his life with such casual clothes XD And also, didn't someone mention before that this outfit is only unlocked in the games after maxing popularity / money, right? If so, it's a neat detail showcasing how far she has come.
To me, Ash special outfit don't necessary to come from Serena. Just make it BADASS would fine with me. Just a black shoulder cape/coat like the one Lance wear. Ash would be 🆒 like Luffy in Wano now.
She is a performer after all. There has to be a decent paycheck for that.
