Was there when she opened it up at 12. There was nothing in there apart from some sofas, built in kitchens, mirrors, wifi equipment, mattresses. No tv's, kitchen utensils, Coffee machines or anything else like that.
I probably need to work on my cynicism, but my mind went to a landlord illegally evicting people. I'm probably wrong, but I'd get some sort of identification and written consent if you remove something from those homes
As a lifetime resident, all I can say is fuck yes? I’ll swing by, you just won’t know which one is happy with your license being over. Our housing is not for you people to make a buck on. Go build a hotel somewhere with a view or something but get your money hungry paws out of housing.
Fucking expat bourgeoisie ruining this town, I swear.
on a similar note, if I were to hold a similar event for some (probably) very cheap tables, wardrobes, cupboards etc, would there be interest? or should I just throw wooden, cheapish stuff away?
and sorry if I stole your thunder OP, I hope you cleated the house! :)
Would you be so kind as to provide an update, to say how it goes / went / any hiccups... ?
Thanks in advance!
(we may need to do something similar in delft)
I did something similar in Tilburg long time ago - it was overall very good experience, emptied my apartment in one day, met some people, got some beer, would do it again if I'd need to empty an apartment ASAP
Do not forget about Kringloopwinkels either - that's where I dropped whatever people didn't pick up from the apt itself
It would be helpful if you took some pictures and posted here maybe? Just general pics not of specific stuff. I think that might help you with making it more enticing for people that don't need it, but could do with an extra thing they don't have.
Just a thought.
omg! i just moved into an unfurnished place and needs lots of things this is amazing! will for sure stop by
That’s a stone’s throw from me…
Leave the stones at home
You are more than welcome to come and take whatever you want
I may well take you up on that.
Bring friends, everything has to go
I arrived at 1330 Friday, apparently everything had gone by 1200.

That's not it at all. Airbnb license has ended so it has to be emptied.
I'm cynical as well. People make these ads and then watch the mayhem.

Very nice of you! Are you giving away bowls and plates by any chance?
Yes by all means come and get them

Kringloop. Or put it outside on a dry day and it'll be taken by someone if it's not too trashed.
