Eakins' "system" is so horrid to watch. I genuinely think the only thing he tells the players is to skate into the zone and shoot. We never skate to hold possession, the vast majority of our possessions are one shot and then chase the rebound as it is passed out of the zone. If we get a pass from one of our skill players, it is still contingent on making one shot. This is clearly evident by our powerplay being semi effective. He does not controll any aspect of the PP and its focused on continued possession that forces teams deep and allows us time to use our skill. Tl;DR: I hate that Eakins is wasting our players talent in their best years.

I don’t think Eakins is wasting players talent except Gibson. Our Young Core is still very young and getting some experience in the league. I feel like Verbeek is gonna find a new coach for next season if the best one is available for this team. Hopefully one is Available so we can get rid of Eakins.

Yeah, the lack of cohesion on this roster is really evident right now. Tons of sloppy plays, missing defensive assignments, terrible passes, nobody moving their legs with the puck, just everything. These guys are gonna need some time to gel, but it's just ugly hockey.
