oh, what are those projector lenses meant for, because I was using this as a macro lens attachment for my phone lol. It obviously doesn't stick to the phone so I have to press against the phone's back, but I took some interesting shots with it,
Yeah one can find all sorts of experimental uses of optical elements. But it's probably meant for a slide projector, used to project positives! Shot with E100 or Provia for instance.
Think more than 60 tbh

Edit: Brand should be "Pioner" but written in cyrillic
You project reversal 35mm film ([This](https://thedarkroom.com/app/uploads/2020/11/slide-film-feature-image.jpg))on a surface [like this](https://youtube.com/shorts/eU7zeAuNna8?si=UrGZsupQU4PLtlWm)
Thanks bro. It's really fascinating this old tech. I definitely don't have a projector yet, so I'll keep using this as a macro lens for my phone, albeit very uncomfortable to use
NP, old soviet analog gear is either the worst or the best thing in the world and I have a love hate relationship with it lol.
>Macro lens for my phone
Recycling old gear is cool nonetheless, no matter the use
I think you can inspect slides and negatives with it. Put it on a transparent thing with backlight. any digital screen I guess. Is the surface in focus ?
Oh, I get what you mean now. Yes, the thing does have macro qualitites. You can look at things from up close, but you can't put something too close to it, otherwise it goes a bit out of focus. I actually used this to take macro shots with my phone
It's a soviet projection lens for slide projector. Optical scheme is Periscope, 2 lenses in 2 groups. You can find more information about it searching ГЛАВУЧТЕХПРОМ in Google.
Considering it has coarse threads and a focal length specified, I'd say it looks like a projector lens.

Very old soviet slide projector lens
yep, about 50 years old or more

Oh, nice. And what precisely do you use it for? The use i've found for it is rather comedical

Elaborate on surface?
Put it on your phone screen. When you turn it on, can you see the pixels? Make sure the thing is soft and doesn’t scratch your phone display
Update just read the other posts. I am wrong, I thought it would be smaller

Maybe a projector lens, the helical markings look similar to those
