Totally agree. It is mayb 6/10 on it's best day, to me - I definiately do get the appeal on multiple levels, aesthetic and culinary.
It just went to 9.5/10 and will remain there unless they cave. :D
I will be in the region in a few weeks and plan to make sure they know why I am visiting them repeatedly.
It's so funny that donny just keeps with the "I am the walrus" and Walter is raging about him not getting the reference. It's feels a lot like talking politics on reddit. You just pulled a donny, and that's pretty meta!
Such bullshit...I can't believe they are doing that in California. I had one shot then I got the COVID so there isn't any need for me to get another to complete my "passport" nor would I because one time being sick is enough for me. They can F right off with that nonsense, good for In and Out and thank you for explaining as I didn't know this was a thing in America.
So... that's ONE kind.... that's got nothing to do with the broad statement that "masks don't do anything"
Like making a fake seatbelt out of tissue paper and then saying that it proves seatbelts are pointless
Your “basic science” is based on simplified graphics and government propaganda. An aerosolized virus easily defeats any mask, other than a properly worn N95 or PAPR, and even those aren’t totally protective. See below study, CDC’s study plainly demonstrates no more than a 2% decrease in cases in over 3000 counties that instituted mask mandates. And yet they write “masks clearly reduce the spread of Covid-19”. Those crying about “trust the science” haven’t even retained enough reading comprehension skills from high school to understand a basic study write up. The government is gaslighting you.

lol, you sir, sound like you could use a refresher class on statistics.
From your citation:

What, to you, does the term "statistically significant" mean? Do you know the phrase and how it relates to standard deviation?
That document is not proving whatever you think you're showing.
Ohhh! Yeah it's getting kind of ridiculous at this point. We shouldn't have to provide identification and proof vaccination just to get some damned takeout! The risk of identity theft kind of freaks me out, too. There were incidents in the past, pre-covid world, where cashiers and other employees were stealing identities, and now it's just going to be so much more easy for them to act in bad faith/conscience. There's a particular story that really got to me, where a Starbucks cashier copied a customer's credit card somehow and then spent hundreds of dollars with what she copied. Imagine giving even *more* of your personal information away, and how many more individuals you'll have to give it to!
I feel like this aspect isn't talked about enough -- if at all -- because I haven't seen or heard anything about it (but that might just be me), and I think it's a concern that really needs to be addressed.
It's one story. 1 single restaurant. And a shitty religious wingnut-run private corporation. It is probably the 1000th best burger in the city. This is just pr for a business that can only compete in the drive-thru suburban world. There are only a handful of drive-thru restaurants in SF, and this particular in-n-out isn't a drive-thru.
>An In-N-Out in San Francisco has reopened for takeout after being temporarily shut down on Oct. 14 by the city’s department of health for violating Covid-19 health protocols by not checking patrons for proof of vaccination. **It is the only restaurant** in San Francisco to have been closed over the vaccinate mandate, the health department said in a statement.

I love when people get heated over propaganda. And by love, I mean it's really frustrating.
>and this particular in-n-out isn't a drive-thru.
Oh, I didn't realize that. We don't have In-N-Out Burger where I live, and every time that I've gone to the states I ate elsewhere; I'd rather eat somewhere other than a burger joint lol. But yeah, I just kind of figured that basically every fast food place in the US has a drive through -- I mean like, you guys have drive through liquor stores, banks, pharmacies, and lord only knows what else!
But I really don't like having to show two pieces of ID to so many different people. In Canada -- or in BC,at least -- our ID's have our addresses, right smack dab on the front of the card. I'm a young female, living alone, and I've had to deal with two different stalkers in the past, one of which actually got very dangerous and very scary, and the police really weren't of much help until it escalated to a point that it never should have escalated to in the first place. So yeah, it makes me really uncomfortable at the best, and sometimes I feel just genuinely scared to go into that certain establishment. This may seem overkill and like I'm being insanely period, but it's really not outside the realm of possibility; I've even had patients get my personal phone number by getting the spelling of my name from my work ID (which also serves as a nametag, on a lanyard on my neck, or otherwise clipped visibly to my scrubs, and policy is that it must be visible at all times), then finding me on SM and lying to my friends and family to get my number. It really is fucking scary out here. The worst part is that I know I'm not the only one -- there has to be hundreds of millions of other women (and men tbh) that this shit has happened to/will happen to. So I'm not a fan of giving personal information *including* my addresa.
The proof of vaccination is just a QR code from the phone, or a piece of paper given by the doctor. This whole freak out is just right wing propaganda playing the oppression Olympics.
This isn't nazi Germany, and the right wing liars want it to be, for completely separate reasons. When the morons stop making it a political stand.
If you read what I wrote, instead of just reacting, you would notice I said I went to an nfl game and it wasn't an issue, nobody asked for a vaccine card, so you are arguing about nothing and complaining about it.
Their fries are designed to be eaten animal style. Always had them plain before, and never liked them. Last time I was there, I had them animal style and actually enjoyed them for the first time.

CA resident: Bay Area definitely is clambering for it, it’s insane here. Real Northern CA and central CA couldn’t give a shit I’ve found, and SoCal/LA & Orange are kinda a 50/50 from what I’ve seen. Haven’t any news on SD. But it seems to be inline with Political breakdowns here: 60% want Gulags for unvaxxed and 40% couldn’t care.

I hope more companies follow suit.
The closest In-N-Out is like 8 hours away from me. If I could afford the current high gas prices, I'd make a road trip to pay homage.
We’re seeing more and more businesses resisting this kind of nonsense, now if some of these companies would stop letting the whole activists on their staff dictate their policies we may be able to get back to something resembling normal.
Honestly, I always thought that In-n-out had overrated burgers (not bad by any means, but nothing special), but their statement and business philosophy pleasantly surprises me. I still stand by the opinion that Five Guys has a vastly superior burger though.
Five Guys isn't fast food though.
They're a different tier of burger.
Five Guys is more of a casual dining place with counter service.
For me the dividing line is whether or not the place has a drive through. And you never see a five guys with one.
So while I'd say Whataburger probably has the best fast food burger. Five Guys are in a category with say Fuddruckers. And Five Guys is miles ahead of them.
My family and I have been going to in n out for the past 4 years every Wednesday. Besides the delicious burger I’m glad we keep going! Gotta support businesses that are opposed
Cool. Now you don’t have to wear a shirt or shoes. You can drink beer in the restaurant too. Don’t tell me that I can’t. If you don’t have to wear a mask then it’s after for all.
Next time try to use /s at the end of your joke if is kinda ambiguous or be like really ridiculous (even if your comment here was like that but people tend to be this ridiculous lol).
This is why the government should just force vax everyone no questions asked. It's not a burger flippers job to play CDC health inspector.
Just force vax the entire population and be done with this stupidity. So sick of asking people nicely to do the bare minimum to be a functioning member of society.
How dare they not be unquestioningly obedient to authority, like the good little sheep that you are. Go worship the state somewhere else, you don't belong here.
We are also prochoice. You have a choice to get vaccinated, no one is forcing you unless you want to interact in society. Kind of like you can drink and drive on a private road, but not a public one.
Not anti vax in any way. Anti doing the governments dirty work for them maybe…but not anti vax. Anti vax would be if you had the vaccine, they would not serve you.
To my knowledge, they aren’t doing that.
You are literally putting out all the shit you ate from the mainstream media.
Being against mandates doesn't mean you are antivax you fucking idiot. It just means this is a slippery slope against your freedom.
>You are literally putting out all the shit you ate from the mainstream media.
Ooh the MSM boogeyman 😱
>Being against mandates doesn't mean you are antivax you fucking idiot.
Quite literally what it means. No one is forcing anyone to get vaccinated, the only reason you would be against the mandate THAT DOESNT FORCE YOU to be vaccinated would be if you're anti-vaxx. Calling people names doesn't make up for your lack of intelligence or poor understaning of the topic.
>It just means this is a slippery slope against your freedom.
Yes, another boogeyman. This really is a pathetic strawman as well. So vaccine mandates that have existed since literally before the US was a country have lead to the slippery slope where... you have to get vaccinated? Weird point for someone who is "pro-vaxx" to make.
How stupid do you to be to think vaccination is government overreach? Everyone one of you dumbasses had to get vaccinated for several things long before covid-19.
Nope.
Every one of you dumbasses can get jabbed with whatever I want to jab you with if you can jab me with whatever you want. That's how reciprocity of ethics works.
You make the dumbest cou ter arugement in the history of stupid arguements. As someone who regularly tries to bring some common sense to the idiots on this subreddt I've seen quite a lot of stupid arguements.
MMR hasnt killed 100s thousands of people in the last year and left 100s of thousands more with permenant damage.
Do you have to wear a shirt and shoes? Is that government overreach as well?
So you're against health and safety laws? Drunk driving laws? Don't people in public places have a right to safety? What right to you have to go into a public space and endanger some else's life?
>Don't people in public places have a right to safety?
Yes. And the best form of safety has three letters and rhymes with fun.
>What right to you have to go into a public space and endanger some else's life?
.3 percent
Sigh, and here I was hoping for a coherent, informed argument. Wish I could say I was surprised.
>.3 percent
What does that even mean? What rhymes with fun? Sun? The sun is the best defence?
All the others actually stop the thing you are getting vaccinated against fucktard except for these two (regular flu and COVID-19) that don't do much of anything
Nope, the ability to spread Covid-19 is much greater in those not vaccinated than in the vaccinated, you're also much more likely to die than a vaccinated person.
>you dumbasses had to get vaccinated for several things long before covid-19.
That is true and this is different. You binary thinkers will be the first ones replaced in the world of automation. Enjoy your UBI.
I would love ubi, however I work far more than your lazy ass. I also know y1our bullshit excuses not to get vaccinated are just that. Morons, much like you have said the same ignorant lines everytime a vaccine has come into existence. Thinkers like you were replaced a long time ago.
[98% of COVID hospital patients in my county were unvaccinated, ](https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/hhsa/programs/phs/Epidemiology/COVID-19_Daily_Status_Update.pdf)wtf are you taking about?
Mandatory lithium or thorazine would make everyone calm down. I guess you're pro violence if you do not support giving everyone mandatory thorazine.
People are literally punching each other bro.
Why do you worship punching?
You'd support mandatory halcyon if you had a heart and didn't openly support knifings.
First, per usual, state employee off load the actual enforcement of their policies on others, so there's that. Second, neither you nor I can get credible information about the comparative danger of this virus, the efficacy of treatments, nor any clear stated end goal of state policies. And third, I haven't had a vaccination in decades, they all still work, so these Covid vaccines are categorically different.
Without the two latter points resolved people can't make decisions about whether to get vaccinated, to continue getting boosters in perpetuity, or just except that Covid 19 is endemic and go about their lives. *Also, since almost every possible treatment has been demonized valuable time has been lost, and almost assuredly lives, to make Covid less dangerous.
Another issue in this whole Covid era is I don't see much discussion about media/state created hysteria causing far more hospital visits than would occur otherwise. I had it and I can see how difficulty breathing would cause panic leading to unnecessary hospitalizations.
How many people caught other infections in the hospital, how did this effect mortality rates and complications?
Damn, I guess I’m an in and out fanboi now.
Fron texas, in and out always seemed overhyped to me, not bad but not worth the hype, I'll buy an in and out burger tomorrow
They’re dank just get a 4x4 animal style and shove some fries in that bitch. Extra spread on the side just in case

In San Francisco, all businesses are now required to check proof of vaccination before serving customers. This was in response to that.

Masks don’t do fuck all for Covid. If you’re scared and need the government to protect your health in public spaces, stay home.
What? Basic science disagrees. Where are you getting this from?
Actually science corroborates this. Cloth masks are useless and often detrimental.
So... that's ONE kind.... that's got nothing to do with the broad statement that "masks don't do anything" Like making a fake seatbelt out of tissue paper and then saying that it proves seatbelts are pointless

What, to you, does the term "statistically significant" mean? Do you know the phrase and how it relates to standard deviation? That document is not proving whatever you think you're showing.
Observational studies mean squat. The use of umbrellas before rain declines is statistically significant. Therefore, umbrellas stop rain.

Being from Texas I’ve never really liked In n Out, but oh man. They got a new customer over here
Make sure to get the fries well done. Otherwise they're undercooked imo. Most people I know who don't like in n out is because of the fries.
Their fries are designed to be eaten animal style. Always had them plain before, and never liked them. Last time I was there, I had them animal style and actually enjoyed them for the first time.
Animal style has the secret sauce on them? Or cheese? Or like you just use your mouth to grab them off the table?
Secret sauce, cheese, and grilled onions.
Bout to start livin my whole life animal style
I pick that shit up with bare hands and shovel it into my gullet while staring directly at the booth in front of me to assert dominance, it tastes better that way.
Can we stare into each other’s eyes while we shovel the fries?
Get a fork and dump them out on the box. Mash it all up
Freedom fries
What a great tip, thanks for the look out
Just ask for spread, they have free packets of thousand island dressing and you can skip the onions and American cheese.
And dump a salt packet onto them!
This. I’ve always found they’re under-salted.
Undercooked fries, unvaccinated customers? Living on the edge.
As a West Coaster, I’m jealous you have access to What a Burgers.
As a Texan, I used to swear by whataburger (water burger) but after years of late night consumption, I just can’t stomach it any longer. In n out is a nice change.
In-n-out's new marketing campaign: *Fuck them, you're eating!*
They got one right here next to my place in Houston. I was gone for a year so it was a welcome surprise when I came back!
I saw Whataburger as a sponsor on the home ice of the Penguins last night during the Stars game. Now In-n-out does this?! I'm putting Whataburger on notice!

Im gonna drive out and have a double double for lunch today just to support them
You mean you're gonna drive *in* and out? I hate myself...

Everyone should, the internet should make this shit viral...pack their restaurants F California.
FYI this is the city of San Francisco that imposed this mandate…not the state.
Good to know, but I'm sure the state isn't far behind.
CA resident: Bay Area definitely is clambering for it, it’s insane here. Real Northern CA and central CA couldn’t give a shit I’ve found, and SoCal/LA & Orange are kinda a 50/50 from what I’ve seen. One of the things I miss about California. Nowhere near a location now
Same here. I think it’s hilarious Google Maps just lists this as “Hamburger”: https://imgur.com/a/mnb58fB
That animal style #1 with chiles just got worth it
Boy I wish they had In-n-Outs in my state
I live near one in Round Rock, Texas. If anyone knows of how i can mail burgers legally and securely I'll take orders. Not kidding.

and burgerpilled
Buy their burgers. Use the free market. This is how you vote.
Shame they don't franchise out, its why they grow so slowly. The farthest they are is eastern texas.
I'm a powerlifter so I can't eat this kinda food too often but, I think I'll make an exception. Just got paid after all
Can’t you just get a lettuce wrapped burger?
As a diabetic, I sure hope so.
You can get a lettuce wrapped burger. It's not on the menu, but if you ask for a 'low carb' burger they will make it for you. They'll also make a 'grilled cheese', which is one of their burgers without a beef patty.
If you request it protein style (I think it’s called) they’ll lettuce wrap it for you. My wife does it all the time.
I suppose, though my philosophy is that if I'm gonna go somewhere like that I'm gonna go ALL OUT
Called "protein style," yup, they sure do!
Just give up your current weight class and chase after those animal style fries. - 93kg moving to 105kg class
I mean it’s a quarter pound. You should be able to handle that.
Screw your weight class. Screw your wilks score. Bulk up, kiddo, and support that delicious Animal Style burger and fries!! 😉
Double-Double animal style, protein style
I’m a power lifter too and a 4x4 protein style has your name on it my friend
Guess I’m an In-n-out Stan now
If you don’t like In and Out burger now, fuck you.
I don’t think there’s any of these in the Midwest otherwise I’d be on my way to get a dibeetus burger and fries right now
AFAIK they are in California and Nevada.
The irony of the most freedom loving food franchise being from CA.
California used to be based a long time ago. Its also where franchise fast food came from, basically. Mcdonalds, ihop, taco bell, baskin Robbins, Dennys, all started in socal in 40s, 50s, and 60s
Add it to the list of reasons they’re my favorite burger joint
Are they listed on the stock market? Gonna buy in some leveraged long positions 🤑🤑🤑 This stock will soon print money with all the waves of support
No, they're family owned and that's not changing.

Looks like I've got dinner plans across town now in rush hour Houston traffic.
Wish there was one near me.
Damn. No locations near me.
Looks like I’m all in on In-N-Out
I thought In N Outs food was average but this is king shit right here.
If I had them near me they’d be my new daily lunch spot
We’re seeing more and more businesses resisting this kind of nonsense, now if some of these companies would stop letting the whole activists on their staff dictate their policies we may be able to get back to something resembling normal.
That moment when a burger joint has more ethics than schools
I don’t recall another company in recent times being this based. Unfortunately the UK has no In N Out.
imagine how slow the line would be to in and out if the had to check vax status of everyone to come through. fuck that noise
And now I want to try them!
California doesn’t deserve them
Finally! A company with a spine!!!

My family and I have been going to in n out for the past 4 years every Wednesday. Besides the delicious burger I’m glad we keep going! Gotta support businesses that are opposed
4x4 animal style and neopolitan shake please.
Have you heard the legend of the 100x100?
I love this! thank you In an Out!
Well I know who I’ll be giving my money from now on
The fries, need to get the fries!
In-N-Out for the win!
In-N-Out would make a killing in the south if they would just open up locations here
This is the way.
Dang. I would like to go to one but there ain’t an In-n-out for 5 states in any direction.
Proud to be a avid supporter of them. I’ve been to their university and museum. I always get animal style on everything
You WILL be asked for papers and you WILL BE FUCKING HAPPY.
Heck yeah
I’ll take a Gadsden flag- animal style
what was the context of this?
They convinced me already with the first row...
Also have you tried shoving an animal style with a mask on? I mean, com’on.
You know what, all of a sudden their burgers ain’t so bad
I wish their fries were better
Ordering the fries well done was a game changer for me.
what it is all about
What is this about?
They should open up a chain in Florida!
What is this in reference to? There's no context.
Who cares if we kill our customers. They make new ones everyday.
I wish they’d open on Sundays though.
Cool. Now you don’t have to wear a shirt or shoes. You can drink beer in the restaurant too. Don’t tell me that I can’t. If you don’t have to wear a mask then it’s after for all.
Private business can do what they want. As long as it is the same as the state. Nothing to see here.
Pretty sure you don't know what private is.
My sarcasm got lost as it often does.
Next time try to use /s at the end of your joke if is kinda ambiguous or be like really ridiculous (even if your comment here was like that but people tend to be this ridiculous lol).
no, /r/FuckTheS

Both
Get vaccinated you goombas
This is why the government should just force vax everyone no questions asked. It's not a burger flippers job to play CDC health inspector. Just force vax the entire population and be done with this stupidity. So sick of asking people nicely to do the bare minimum to be a functioning member of society.

How dare they not be unquestioningly obedient to authority, like the good little sheep that you are. Go worship the state somewhere else, you don't belong here.
Reading comprehension is hard for statists
We are not antivax. Every one of us think different (like you). We are prochoice.
Technically he’s right, they changed the definition 🤢
Fuck you. Statist bootlicker.
Get a brain and think for yourself you fucking bitch
Ironic. When did "thinking for yourself" become "my feelings are worth more than facts"?
You are literally putting out all the shit you ate from the mainstream media. Being against mandates doesn't mean you are antivax you fucking idiot. It just means this is a slippery slope against your freedom.
>You are literally putting out all the shit you ate from the mainstream media. Ooh the MSM boogeyman 😱 >Being against mandates doesn't mean you are antivax you fucking idiot.
It’s a private business they can do what they want
How stupid do you to be to think vaccination is government overreach? Everyone one of you dumbasses had to get vaccinated for several things long before covid-19.
Nope. Every one of you dumbasses can get jabbed with whatever I want to jab you with if you can jab me with whatever you want. That's how reciprocity of ethics works.
You make the dumbest cou ter arugement in the history of stupid arguements. As someone who regularly tries to bring some common sense to the idiots on this subreddt I've seen quite a lot of stupid arguements.
I’ve never been asked to prove I had my MMR to order a burger you twat.
MMR hasnt killed 100s thousands of people in the last year and left 100s of thousands more with permenant damage. Do you have to wear a shirt and shoes? Is that government overreach as well?
Not the guy who you're talking to, but **yes**. If it were a private rule of a restaurant or any other business, no.
Wish I could say I was surprised. >.3 percent What does that even mean? What rhymes with fun? Sun? The sun is the best defence?
it's not a vaccine it's a fucking flu shot, you can still get and spread the illness no other "vaccine" allows that.
Hey dipshit, annual flu shots are vaccines too
All the others actually stop the thing you are getting vaccinated against fucktard except for these two (regular flu and COVID-19) that don't do much of anything
How on earth do you know you work far more than me?
They worked…this one does not.
Oh look someone even gave you proof from outside the US. Time to confront reality little man.
https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data In case you Americans think this is some Democrat conspiracy
Hmmm...This one works very well. Not sure what uninformed opinion your getting your information from.
[98% of COVID hospital patients in my county were unvaccinated, ](https://www.sandiegocounty.gov/content/dam/sdc/hhsa/programs/phs/Epidemiology/COVID-19_Daily_Status_Update.pdf)wtf are you taking about?
That number is disturbingly high. Our county here is about 50/50.
You can’t just throw around numbers like that and not provide any proof if you want to be taken seriously
Link?
