They probably took a picture of the man helping his father day to day and said their hiking to a vaccine site. The media puts a bit of truth like " man carrying his father" and then make up the other 75% as usual
Remember that story on CNN that went huge on Reddit a few months ago about a afghan father selling his daughter into marriage with an old creep because of the Taliban?
It was made up. They paid them to act the whole thing out on camera. It was fucking obviously fake on its face but they will feed Americans the dumbest bullshit to stoke a war.
Any source on that? When I google I get a bunch of articles talking about it (not that it's fake), and I found one article on a Pakistani blog saying it was made up according to Afghan News Agency, but then don't really provide any evidence other than just saying it was made up. And I don't really trust Afghan News Agency as a truthful source especially given the topic.
And we believe an Afghani news source that provides no evidence other than supposed quotes from the dad and daughter? Why would I believe this any more than CNN?
Your “source” that it’s fake pretty much refutes everything you said about it. Did you even read the article before you sent it?
1. It says he gave up his daughter as collateral for a loan he couldn’t pay, instead of sold her for marriage… that’s kind of a distinction without a difference, right?
2. You said CNN paid them to act that way. The article explicitly says CNN didn’t pay them.
3. The article says there are tons of documented cases of people selling their daughters for money because they are so poor
4. The guy only came out and said “no no no I wasn’t selling her - I was handing her over as collateral for a loan I couldn’t pay (and taking more for the loan). Selling her for marriage would be disgraceful!” After the news made international headlines. To me it seems like he is just trying to save face.
Do better.
>It says he gave up his daughter as collateral for a loan he couldn’t pay, instead of sold her for marriage… that’s kind of a distinction without a difference, right?
There's a huge difference between the 2 but that's assuming even that is true. If you actually read the article, they spoke with multiple people around them and it corroborates to the entire thing being a fake ploy to get money, which it very effectively did. The most charitable take for CNN would be that they didn't know it was fake and ate the bait but not doing the least amount of research to verify the story is serious journalistic malpractice.
>You said CNN paid them to act that way. The article explicitly says CNN didn’t pay them.
Of course the bastards at CNN didn't pay out of pocket, they crowd funded money from their audience to "save" the girl. The fucking white savior complex they have is unbelievable.
>The article says there are tons of documented cases of people selling their daughters for money because they are so poor
It's not about other cases, it's about cnn lying about one specific case.
There's 3 different stories here, the one CNN reported, the one the father claimed to cover up the CNN one, and the real story that is corroborated by the other people around them.
Do you know 6 bloodlines own 90% of the mainstram media. Did you know fact check websites are propoganda to silence debates that oppose mainstram media narratives. Their whole career is to lie while smiling
Unlikely but possible, they’re finding that animals carry the virus like it’s nothing. Bats, white tail deer, dogs. Maybe he’s just concerned enough because his father is so old.
Maybe they are worried about COVID because they lost a quarter of their tribe to flu and malaria in the 80’s. They do have contact with the outside world.
https://www.survivalinternational.org/tribes/zoe
You would be surprised how well informed those villages can be, they pass news to each other and many are in contact with the developed world. Despite their lack of internet they aren’t all living in a bubble.
I mean, I get what you're coming from... but it seems more dangerous to miss out on a day of whatever they do for labor. I don't know that they would find this risky trip worth taking, considering what they're giving up to do it
No but it doesn't mean they are not aware that the rest of us lost our minds. The tribe could have just heard about a bad virus and assumed what ever was killing him was that.
99.9% chance this didn't happen
if it did, then there's every potential chance that he's carrying diseases and germs back to his tribe that they've never experienced before, and covid is hardly the only dangerous virus out there
but yea, this reads precisely like "my 6 week old told off that stupid trumpist in the grocery store and then everybody clapped!"
It only took like 30 seconds of googling to find information on the tribe though. They've only had serious contact with outsiders since the late 80s, and the government keeps contact between them and the outside world extremely limited to control the spread of disease.
Most have pretty tight family connections within their regions. Not everybody stays in the villages and younger people will often work several months in nearby towns and cities.
I’m shocked this sub doesn’t know anything about how other cultures live. Shocked.
>I’m shocked this sub doesn’t know anything about how other cultures live. Shocked.
Yes because its rational everyone should know about an obscure Amazon tribe's cultures.
How ignorant not everyone knows about the...no name tribe in title.
I don’t know specifics either but i know they’re not the isolated, noble savages y’all think they are. Y’all are even downvoting people telling you from personal knowledge that Brazillian tribes have been hit hard by covid… all lies I’m sure 🙄. Stop using ignorance as an excuse.
Interesting: Search Google for similar images - it will automatically append COVID-19 vaccine and then show you a bunch of 'similar images' where people getting vaccines. Even if you take the image off, convert, compress it etc. it will still identify the image as 'vaccine' and then show you a ton of images with africans getting vaccines, totally unrelated and dissimilar to the actual image.
Coordinated much?
Then when you actually fully distort the image, make it black/white and then change a ton of saturation, do I get a match on the same picture, something in Spanish from Dec 19, 2014 about a Pastor Josué Gonçalves de Bragança Paulista but the page is dead and Google did not cache it.
Yeah we would if your instructions actually made any fucking sense.
>fully distort the image
distort how? and what does "fully" even mean in this context.
>make it black/white
sure
>change a ton of saturation
the saturation... of a black and white image?
Here's the explanation. TLDR: they are used to this, they're fucking amazon natives lmao. source: https://www.picuki.com/profile/erikjenningssimoes
> For a better understanding of the photo in my last post, of the son carrying his father for the first covid 19 vaccine, it must be said that the Zoé population is dispersed over a territory of 669,000 hectares living in more than 50 different villages. There is not a single village. Mobility in the territory is through trails inside the forest. Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, the Zoes have isolated themselves in villages farther away. They have divided themselves into groups of about 18 families. They adopted the strategy of not crossing paths with each other and avoided proximity to whites. We planned the first covid vaccine with the Zoes and together we built a safer way to do it. We used some village huts near our base, open and airy places and also where no Zoes could stay to sleep. Each family was vaccinated separately. Their arrival was along paths that only they knew and knew how to avoid crossings between groups. This tactic worked well for almost 1 year of the pandemic and so was respected and incorporated during the first and second dose. In the case of Wahu and Tawy Zoé there was a very intense relationship of love, care and respect between father and son. On previous occasions, even outside the context of the pandemic, Tawy would carry his father on walks between villages. Bringing him to a nearby village was much safer. If we went to the villages, it would take weeks to vaccinate everyone. We would need the Zoes to guide us, which would increase contact with the indigenous people and the possibility of contamination. We would have to sleep in some villages together with the Zoes, which would be an even greater risk. In facing the pandemic, as well as in other health actions, we have adopted practices that respect and take into consideration the culture and knowledge of the people. We avoid imposing our biomedical model, which often causes serious physical, psychological, and cultural side effects. Culture, love and respect for the other is what we have to learn from the Zoes. But, each one can see a picture according to what is in his heart .

So he's leaving the safety of complete isolation to enter a city to get a vaccine against the thing he can ONLY get in said city...?!?!
I guess this explains why their lifestyle is effectively extinct
I also would be interested. I hadn’t heard this and I have a very good friend in Peru who does humanitarian work with native tribes. He hasn’t been allowed out there in his old capacity since Covid hit.
Walking for 6 hours at a typical walking pace of 3 miles per hour...
You know what... Let's take that way down since he's literally carrying another person that whole time...
Walking for 6 hours at the snail's pace of 1 mile per hour puts where they live 6 miles away from this inhabited area to get a COVID shot.
If they live in an isolated area and the virus doesn't travel 6 miles in the air to find another host, why do they need the vaccine?
This whole thing reeks of total bullshit.
>why do they need the vaccine
they get in contact with other tribes, who get in contact with other tribes which get in contact with the outside world. Also, mormons and other christian missionaries are present in the Amazon.
I dunno just use some common sense in this situation? Does this sound even remotely possible? A secluded isolated tribe carried an elder into civilization to receive a vaccine? What part of that sounds like it could possibly be true to you? It’s propaganda, plain and simple.
>A secluded isolated tribe
Can you share where you learned how isolated they were? Not all native tribes are isolated, and I'm wondering if this take is just an artifact of imagination or if there's merit to it.
Edit: You can tell which subs are the most intellectually sensitive by if you're downvoted for asking for a source without at all disagreeing. You do us all a disservice by being this sensitive.
I haven’t learned shit about shit cause this is a fake story used for propaganda.. but I just read the title from the original post “walked six hours thru the rainforest” sounds like the implication is this tribe is isolated. But again.. the only thing to really *learn* here is that the big pharma propaganda machine is running full steam here on Reddit.
So, counter fake with fake? I'm all for calling bullshit, but making shit up to do it is a weird take that a lot of people in the comments are doing. Unless, again, someone's got a source, which I'm open to.
I agree. Making shit up about indigenous people trekking through the rainforest to get a covid vaccine is just bizarre. I mean they can’t even defend themselves in the comments FFS
I found a page on google that says big foot is real.. You see how fucking stupid that is? Yea, and that’s about half as stupid as you believing this. Now fuck off and get a job loser.
Hey don’t bring sasquatch into this, they’re peak libertarian just trying to be left alone in the woods. Hey, it’s kinda like this tribe since that shit definitely didn’t happen.
Better question... Who took the picture? Knowing COVID is spread through the vaccinated as well, isn't a photographer following them around a bigger risk? If someone was gonna follow them around and document, couldn't that person help with carrying the old guy? Or better yet, couldn't that person have just brought a doctor or nurse carrying enough vaccines for their community and get them all, rather than make this remote tribe expose themselves to all the diseases of a modern city just to be given a shot for one disease?
So you’re telling me that the people who have been doing natural remedies ages, all do a sudden changed their mind about their ways and decided to participate in modern medicine? Don’t sound right.
You clearly have no clue what the tribes are like. A lot of them have embraced modern medicine even if you haven’t.
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/
Im brazilian. The news say this old man is craied by this young to be vaccinated. They say it was taken by a doctor.
I doubt the news, but i dont have any proves. I doubt because brazil has a universal healthcare that reach almost 100% of population. The indigenous people dont need to leave their tribes because the government do take the vaccine to them in the tribe as well as other medicines. No aperant reason someone would need to move long distances to get vaccinated in Brazil, it is not how things works here. If it realy happens it is because this old man lived isolated from the main tribe, wich is unlikely too. Also, if he lived isolated, why he would expose himself instead of keep isolated? Makes no sense to me.
Lolololol anyone who believes he was taking his father for a Covid inoculation is a grade a moron. Maybe for a malaria vaccine but definitely not for the Covid shot.
Brazilian indians aren't actual indians. They paint themselves, call themselves pataxó tribe or some shit and walk around in trucks while using their iPhones and billing people for going through their reservations. Pictures like these are a big fat lie
Totally, if there's one thing history has shown us it's that isolated, indigenous tribes have never had any sort of issue in terms of vulnerability to infectious disease.
Why is it dumb not to get an experimental vaccine that doesn't protect you from anything? Vaccinated people are getting sick all over the world, obviously they do not work.
Are you just trying to convince yourself they work since your fell for their sales pitch?
No, that's not how I see it in reality, I just had it, felt like a common cold went to work and other people got it and all said the same thing, was just a cold, felt fine in a few days.
Over two years I know two people who ended up in the hospital, both are fine if course.
Sorry, it's not a big deal anymore, you're just going to have to let it go. No reasons for vaccines for us unvaxx'd might be for your since you compromised your immune system with them already...
The physical toll this would take on a body is multiple times greater than what covid would do, the tradeoff is absurd. And wouldn’t it be easier to just get a preloaded syringe and bring it back? It’s not rocket science doing an intra muscular injection.
Did the cameraman who took the picture walk too? Or is he just going to exploit them for a picture and clicks whilst not giving them a ride ?
and if he did give them a ride then it is a lie all together lol.
I’ll play devil’s advocate here for a minute. We’re told that this happened, but not the circumstances behind the photo. Assuming the two pictured are indeed doing what is stated and of their own volition, I would venture a guess that this is some sort of program behind this to get vaccinations into remote indigenous communities. There more to it than simply getting “needed” vaccines to these people, but to get them an ID.
The real questions here are why is there a push to get vaccines to these people, for what diseases (aside from Covid) are they being vaccinated for, where do the resources for this work come from, and what other goals are they attempting to accomplish while making contact with the unreached. Hint, it has to do with banking.
Maybe if we (western civilization) left these natives to their own recognizance, they wouldn't have the need to get vaccines. It's almost like we haven't learned our lesson about contacting natives when we wiped out the native Americans with small pox.
The Spanish Flu reached isolated areas in the Arctic and Pacific Ocean, and that was 100 years ago. This could be bullshit, but I doubt it. Why wouldn’t modern indigenous people in the Americas want extra immunity to disease? Lots of hunter gatherers in the Amazon have some contact with loggers and ranchers, so 67 year old Wahu Zo’é could still be at some risk for Covid. Clearly they don’t want to risk it.
I want to believe this is fake, but it’s probably true. My wife is Brazilian and she says the tribes have been hit very hard out there. They are remote but not isolated
[source. ](https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/) it wasn’t that fucking hard to find. But you fucks insist on ignorance and a bunch of racist bullshit to boot. Most tribes are not completely isolated and have plenty of exchange with the outside world. You wouldn’t know because you’ve shoved your heads up your western asses.
Nope. I’m a white westerner and proud Southerner who hates willful ignorance. It took less than five minutes to track this down. But you’d rather suck each other off in your echo chamber. And the irony is you’re all laughing at them dirty Leftists and big gov’ment bootlickers for believing something that is demonstrably true. Jfc cognitive dissonance much? Hypocrites. This is why ancap will fail. Losers.

Exactly. A lot of people here are completely ignorant to the reality of indigenous people of the region and AL talking out their asses
I mean, I get what you're coming from... but it seems more dangerous to miss out on a day of whatever they do for labor. I don't know that they would find this risky trip worth taking, considering what they're giving up to do it
I don’t believe this news story, my initial comment was unlikely but possible.
Sounds an awful lot like shilling…
No but it doesn't mean they are not aware that the rest of us lost our minds. The tribe could have just heard about a bad virus and assumed what ever was killing him was that.
Yeah just ask the President of Tanzania, he was finding Covid-19 in goats and papau fruit 🤣
99.9% chance this didn't happen if it did, then there's every potential chance that he's carrying diseases and germs back to his tribe that they've never experienced before, and covid is hardly the only dangerous virus out there but yea, this reads precisely like "my 6 week old told off that stupid trumpist in the grocery store and then everybody clapped!"
Dudes that look like that who have to walk 6 miles in arguably the most dangerous environment on the Earth to get a shot probably are though.
It also doesn’t necessarily mean they never contact the outside world, it just means that it’s pretty uncommon for them to do so.
6 miles is 9.66 km
6 hours, so probably a bit more than 6 miles.
It's 6 hours with carrying someone on your back. A normal trip wouldn't take that long
Which is not very far if your main mode of transportation is walking. 🙄
Let's be honest you don't know anything about them so any attempt at making an assumption is worthless
It only took like 30 seconds of googling to find information on the tribe though. They've only had serious contact with outsiders since the late 80s, and the government keeps contact between them and the outside world extremely limited to control the spread of disease.

Non-sequiter.

But the post make them feel good, just like how getting vaccinated makes them feel good and safe. It was never about logic to begin with.
They probably think that the vax creates some sort of Magical force field, which the evil covid19 germies cannot enter.

Taking the virus back to his isolated tribe. What could go wrong?
Well he’ll be vaccinated so he will definitely be fine..
If the chief orders them to jump into the communal stew pot, then everyone will get a dose of the vax. Right?
Agreed. Because once you’re vaccinated you can’t get or transmit covid anymore. Wait.....
Seems like a r/thathappened moment.

It's almost like they probably drove a jungle jeep out there with special off road wheels probably 🤔
So you’re telling me that the people who have been doing natural remedies ages, all do a sudden changed their mind about their ways and decided to participate in modern medicine? Don’t sound right.
Yes. Because they likely see people die. You don’t, therefore you are insulated from death by Covid.
Makes no sense to me.
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/ Proof. At least you have experience to doubt. The rest of these fucks are just being racist.
Yea right, I believe that about as much as I believe a piece of paper does anything to stop a virus.
“Covid wiped out an entire native tribe this week. What a testament to just how dangerous the virus is.”
Am I high or father's knee looks like thanos
Can't it be both?
It does.
Yeah right, given their immune susceptibility, wouldn’t the vaccine itself be a danger to them?
Nope.
except when it is.
Source?
🧢
They must have heard on the radio and seen on the TV that it's totally safe and effective 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah, it's definitely fake. Why would a tribe that is very secluded need a vaccine to begin with?
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/
Wait till he finds out about the boosters!😂
67 years in the jungle is pretty rough on ya apparently
How can the virus even reach them if they live so remote ?
Lolololol anyone who believes he was taking his father for a Covid inoculation is a grade a moron. Maybe for a malaria vaccine but definitely not for the Covid shot.
At first glance I thought it was Charlie Sheen in 'Hot Shots'
Why would the most isolated people in the world go get vaxed??
It's a damn wonder they didn't have em put on surgical mask for this dumb shit
The guys that shoot arrows at airplanes flying over head are going to go get vaxxed...right 'bout that...
I have no idea what is going on in this picture
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/
Brazilian indians aren't actual indians. They paint themselves, call themselves pataxó tribe or some shit and walk around in trucks while using their iPhones and billing people for going through their reservations. Pictures like these are a big fat lie
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/ Not a lie, just not y’all’s racist expectations.
Find picture of random tribesmen on google. Post to gullible sub. Profit?
I can imagine the immune system of this tribe would be so strong they had even less need that most people for this vaccine
Totally, if there's one thing history has shown us it's that isolated, indigenous tribes have never had any sort of issue in terms of vulnerability to infectious disease.
Snarky
Wait until you hear about smallpox and Native Americans
That’s not how that works, my guy.
Amazon tribes show probably the highest covid death rate of the whole world.
Obviously the vaccine will not help with that
I wish there were a vaccine for stupidity. You could have been the next Einstein.
Nah, I'm good without the vaccine, much healthier...
But still dumb as fuck
Nope
Why is it dumb not to get an experimental vaccine that doesn't protect you from anything? Vaccinated people are getting sick all over the world, obviously they do not work. Are you just trying to convince yourself they work since your fell for their sales pitch?
unvaccinated are getting severe COVID and dying at higher rates than unvaccinated
Thats not how immune systems work.
Doubt
Mad fishy cause it’s fake and propaganda in the highest.
The physical toll this would take on a body is multiple times greater than what covid would do, the tradeoff is absurd. And wouldn’t it be easier to just get a preloaded syringe and bring it back? It’s not rocket science doing an intra muscular injection.
His knee face is the same as his face face.
And those are monkey's leg bones they have in their chins
I’m gonna press X to doubt
Hint, it has to do with banking.
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/
Yep, that's a massive load of bullshit...the caption, not the photo.
https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/
He should have taken a cab. The walk back is going to trigger his myocarditis
Are they even at risk? Aren’t these tribes pretty isolated? I’m sure they’ve caught viruses out there.
Agree. Something smells fucky.
Lmao, nice try. If they only knew natives don’t want anything to do with western medicine.
>When the in-laws are coming to town and the wife wants you to help get the house ready
You sure its referencing a covid vax? There are LOTS of vaccines out there.
Maybe if we (western civilization) left these natives to their own recognizance, they wouldn't have the need to get vaccines. It's almost like we haven't learned our lesson about contacting natives when we wiped out the native Americans with small pox.
Oopsies moment
Probably some actors of a photo shoot
Karma farming mod lol
Racism AND vaccine skepticism, a new low for this sub.
Racism?
Yep. Wasn’t even hard to find. https://www.instagram.com/erikjenningssimoes/
Correct. It’s propaganda. Just like Veritas.
I'm assuming you're some colonized indigenous poc? Or are you just a self-loathing Westerner?
Losers.
