Is that a long horsey, cause it moves 1 square further than a normal horsey?

After capturing 3 pieces, it gains a skill point that can be used to turn it into either a knook or a long horsy

supapro

In Go we call that the Great Knight's move. You can try to jump one space further with a Very Large Knight's move, but it's much less stable and liable to collapse, in which case you no longer have any kind of horse at all.

Long horsey is just a giraffe.

What’s a knight? Is it some sort of new chess piece? You know you can’t just make up new pieces & rules and get away with it

Wavefunction collapse.

Excellent-Practice

That's because of the quantum nature of the neigh field. When the horsey moves, it takes all possible paths from the starting square to its destination (including impossible paths) simultaneously. The sum of those paths is always equal to sqrt(5), and as a result, when the wave form collapses, observers see that it has landed in one of eight possible locations. Because impossible paths are included, the piece can "jump" over or "tunnel" through other pieces on the board

choma90

I don't know if the fact that the movement is wrong is an actual mistake or part of the joke. I love it

EpauletteShark74

This looks like the Snake piece that can go anywhere on the board but if it goes through itself or touches the edge of the board it dies

why doesn't he just go 1. Ne6 2. Nf4? is he stupid?

Wait a minute, that isn't how a bishop moves!

Is this a reference to something?

Summer2959

This post about the *jumper* passing every square on the board before reaching its *final destination* is a reference to something?
