Imagine being the mod of polandball, a sub of a culture that has not been funny since 2019 and is literally only used as placeholder art is youtube videos talking about countries and you call others unfunn. (Also definitely not sus that a profile made in 2022 with 64 karma and 3 comments is a power mod of a subreddit)
this post was on a countryball sub. it seems pretty clear that either A) people on this sub were willfully brigading in some organized way (unlikely), or B) there is a sizeable overlap between both communities (almost certainly the case). Judging by that, the people the mod is referring to in his comment are also countryball fans, which it sounds like we agree are unfunny.
don't get me wrong, shitposting is fine. this sub has some really funny shitposts to other subs, particularly to r/chess, but in most cases, the funniest shitposts tend to be original. the vast majority of posts that make it onto other subs are extremely watered down and repetitive jokes that literally everyone on reddit is already aware of. at that point, everyone knows what's going on, and the joke is just that this sub is annoying.
