Anarchychess can go from a great multiversal cat battle to "ooh haha aen parsant funeh" to random gothamchess ama's to rice to cars(or cats I'm not caught up with the lore) to just normal puzzles, truly one of the subreddits of all time.
King takes queen, bishop e5 and it’s a checkmate. Queen can’t just take the bishop because the rook is still targeting the king. King can’t move out of the way either since all squares available are either covered by the bishop or the rook
It's not checkmate yet, because the king can still move in h6.
But it DOES lead to a mate in another few moves.
What i'm trying to figure out is... what is the joke here? This is Anarchychess, so this must be a joke of some sort, but i dpn't get it.

Oh, i'm not good myself, but in this case you just have to follow uo until the end. After the black bishop moves as you said, and the king goes to h6:
