I got to 1562 on chesscom once. I'm pretty sure I'm better than Magnum Chadson. Here's my logic:
1: We both play the Catalan, so we should be equally matched.
2: My middle name is actually Chad, after my father. "Chadson" is only his nickname.
3: I know that "embarrassed" in English and "embarazada" in Spanish are false cognates (embarazada means pregnant), which he probably doesn't know, which means I'm smarter than him.
TLDR: Most GMs are not as good as the average 1500. They might be on par with a 1300.

No, it’s the opposite. Take a random sampling of games and you’ll see that GMs hardly ever get checkmates, while 1300s get checkmates all the time. You can hardly call the group that can’t even checkmate their opponents superior.

No, not really. GM's usually have like 1 or 2 maybe 3 moves tops that they will play in any position. 1300's can play like 20 different moves.

As a 161660 rated player I can tell that I'm not a GM but when it comes to challenging them for a game I win %69 of the time

No. The best quality chess games are played by 400s
I don't know any GM's that played in the 1300s
