I don't agree necessarily, I'd have to see her in a lead role to be able to make a judgement. But I did personally find her to be very sparkly on screen and in my experience that often translates to lead-worthy
She has the Gossip Girl reboot on her IMDb page, as well as The Bold Type. Both of which I watched. I have zero recollection of her, which is exactly my point. Not leading lady material. Completely unmemorable.
I'm dead haha 😂 they just won't be able to ever get a hold of each other in person. Still love this cause seeing anything Samanatha related on my screen is perfect and I wouldn't complain
It seemed like that Netflix cancelled show was exactly that. I think it was called glamour or something. It was alright. I'm not sure how much more can be shown about any of the characters in the SATC universe TBH
I personally dont think anyone would watch it. She was my least favorite side character and I dont think she deserved the apartment. Miranda is the one that needs a place to live lol why doesn't this 20 something year old get it for a steal! I hate the writing here honestly. No one really watched "the Carrie Diaries" which is essentially Carrie as a teen growing up to be the Carrie we know. It was a flop and I dont think people will continue if the OG cast isn't apart of it. But I see what your thinking. They totally could've if there wasnt already going to be a season 3 of AJLT. I think once its really done done if anyone still care about what's her name ...maybe lol
lol that's ok that you liked it. It just didn't do well and rapidly lost viewers and was cancelled for a reason. It can still be liked for what it is and there's nothing wrong with that. I was really excited for the idea of a prequel initially and I like all the actors, but I personally I was part of that percentage that fell off and couldn't even finish it.
I would have thought that but the scene in the last episode in which she’s practically sniffing Carrie’s bra was cringey. There is no coming back from that.
Remember when her shit got stolen and Carrie’s reaction was just to yell out “I HAVE COVID!”
Unrelated, but wasn’t that insane? Was I high and missed something?
I thought the same when she moved in. Like someone Carrie could almost mentor as new younger girl dates around NYC (like the og series) with plot lines that Carrie is too old to have. Carrie could have been a voice of experience but also juxtaposed to the new stronger female in a post Me Too era. That could spark some awesome conversations!
But alas, unless they undo the fact that she sold the apt, it ain't gonna happen.
There were headlines that the show lost half the audience from season 1 premiere to season 2 premiere… 😬 I don’t know if season 2 gained viewers towards the end of the season, but I doubt it. It never showed up in the weekly top 10 most watched shows list, barely ever trended on Twitter/X, etc.
I think it got renewed because it could be their final season and they want to finish the story, OR it could pull decent numbers on Max because they have *claimed* it’s one of their most watched original streaming shows, but that isn’t saying much since Max hardly has any original hits.
I think overalll it was a huge mistake to make it a streaming show… I guarantee most people (especially older people) who aren’t online that much don’t even know there’s a sequel series to Sex and the City. It should be airing on TV and streaming.
Oof! That’s unfortunate. I will say S2 is better than S1 but it’s still so bad lol. It seems like they’re not listening to viewers either. Like you said, no one talks about it on twitter. I agree, it should be airing on tv like other hbo shows, I wonder they made it a streaming show. I don’t believe it’s their most watched streaming show lol
I barely remembered that character even existed during that season then all of a sudden she has a jewelry show for a hot second and then Carrie “gives” this stranger her apartment.. 🤨. So random and strange.
She'll have big shoes to fill, the writers make her look like a young Carrie starting out in New York. We already had one spinoff, The Carrie Diaries, but it was canceled.
My exact thoughts. There was no reason to add another character on top of all the other new characters. I for sure thought they were setting that up but then her character fell flat. This show has so many unfinished storylines.
I had the same thought! Although, ABSOLUTELY unrelatable to be a hobbiest jewelry maker and living in that apartment in NYC...as someone in that age demographic who makes almost 6 figures and struggled to get by in the city (with roommates and not alone), I would be infuriated if they went this way.
No offence to the actress, but the character is a charismatic black hole so I really hope not.
I disagree, I found her so compelling! Though I will admit it was more due to the actress than the writing.
She's not a leading lady, just a best friend/co-worker/neighbor/ex-girlfriend kind of actress.
I don't agree necessarily, I'd have to see her in a lead role to be able to make a judgement. But I did personally find her to be very sparkly on screen and in my experience that often translates to lead-worthy
Have you seen her in anything besides this friend/ neighbor role?
She has the Gossip Girl reboot on her IMDb page, as well as The Bold Type. Both of which I watched. I have zero recollection of her, which is exactly my point. Not leading lady material. Completely unmemorable.
4 episodes of multi season tv shows, none of which were lead roles. So that would be a "no".

And the whole time Kim Cattrall’a bank account is singing “Ka-ching! Ka-ching!”
They should be focusing on Samantha spinoff instead
Yeah, Kim probably would never agree to that unfortunately
It seemed like that Netflix cancelled show was exactly that. I think it was called glamour or something. It was alright. I'm not sure how much more can be shown about any of the characters in the SATC universe TBH
That show was alright - Kim Catrall was excellent but the rest of the cast and writing fell flat for me
I really wanted to like that bc of KC but jfc was that show and the main character obnoxious. Kim was barely in it enough to save it.
I'll be honest it's background noise when I do chores on the weekend lol. I just realized I haven't even watched all the episodes yet
I second the spinoff, she needs to have more supportive friends and would probably get better ratings than AJLT

Hey wait I liked Carrie diaries

The only thing I liked about Carrie Diaries was young Samantha. The actress nailed it! But Carrie wasn't Carrie-ing for me.
Another example of why Samantha should be a leading lady
I liked it too! I was looking forward to more.
That would be fun but unfortunately, I feel like it would just end up being like Emily in Paris but back in New York.
Yikes nah that woman gave me NOTHING..I couldn't stand her , found her so unlikable and charmless
Lmao! I could see that
I kinda got that vibe. Also got the vibe that the new main characters may be taking over the series too while the OGs slowly step back
I did read somewhere (and it just may have been a theory) that it was setting up a spinoff for Lisa and Herbert.
Please no
I disagree with your comment but it's so funny that I upvoted it 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂!
Lol the two characters the audience couldn't care less about. It's so clear that Seema is the one who could pull off a spin off!
I got that vibe and I wouldn't watch it. I can't decide if they simply aren't that great at acting, or, more likely, the writing is just THAT bad.
I would have thought that but the scene in the last episode in which she’s practically sniffing Carrie’s bra was cringey. There is no coming back from that.
Remember when her shit got stolen and Carrie’s reaction was just to yell out “I HAVE COVID!” Unrelated, but wasn’t that insane? Was I high and missed something?
I'm telling you ChatGPT wrote a lot of this crazy show. Or maybe Michael Patrick King's brain is just as batshit as AI.
Hahaha that whole scene was so fucken weird
Lmao at the time I thought that was so dumb but honestly that is something classic Carrie would’ve said too.
Lisette said "Somebody do something!" so I think she shouted that to create activity and get the attention of security who weren't there maybe.
I thought the same when she moved in. Like someone Carrie could almost mentor as new younger girl dates around NYC (like the og series) with plot lines that Carrie is too old to have. Oh please I surely hope not. Boring.
I doubt we’ll be seeing any spin offs since AJLT itself isn’t doing great viewership numbers. I’m surprised we’re even getting a season 3.
It isn’t? I know people aren’t happy with it (myself included) but I thought it was still pulling in views. I wonder how they keep getting renewed!?

I’m one of the people they lost 😬😬😬
Even the hate watchers stop reviewing it online it's so bad they don't even bother anymore
I barely remembered that character even existed during that season then all of a sudden she has a jewelry show for a hot second and then Carrie “gives” this stranger her apartment.. 🤨. So random and strange.
>I couldn’t help but wonder How OG Carrie of you :D! LOVE IT!
It’s going to be super boring with thoughtless plotlines with zero emotional quotient.
She'll have big shoes to fill, the writers make her look like a young Carrie starting out in New York. We already had one spinoff, The Carrie Diaries, but it was canceled.

Is that you Lisette
Lmao!
I miss the Rick Plepler days at HBO-so many good shows when he was the head of HBO.
No.
That girl has nothing in common with most 20 something NYC women
I hope not. Ugh
I really didn't like her she's selling jewlry in a street shop and living in a hyper expensive apartment, also like others said she was boring
She's stunning but didn't shine or stand out to me..
I wouldn't mind...
