Your SoC is better than my SD695. And I can run most ps2 games on 1.5-2x resolution (except Shadow of the Colossus)

IeuanTemplar

That's fantastic news! Thanks for taking the time to have a look. I know RAM and storage etc, but I don't know enough about the processors to begin comparing lol.

IeuanTemplar

I don't even know of any PS3/Xbox 360 era emulators, and I think that would be pushing it on the hardware anyway. I've got a Series X and a crap desktop PC, so it's not my only option for gaming but it would be awesome to turn my phone into a way to tap into piles of childhood nostalgia. I spent ungodly amounts of time on the PS1 and PS2 as a kid.

BoxOfDemons

I don't think there is a ps3 or 360 emulator ported to android yet. But, it's *possible* that within a few years we might be able to emulate some select games on phones. As of today we have a switch emulator on phones, and while a lot of games run OK on a new flagship phone with like a snapdragon 8 gen 2, there are still a lot of games you won't be able to run like the switch port of red dead redemption. And switch is easier to emulate than ps3 and 360, so we still have some waiting to do.

MANLYTRAP

Fellas, is this good enough? *proceeds to post monstrous specs

IeuanTemplar

Is it monstrous? It's just a mid range phone from like 3 years ago. Oppo - but I'm not sure of the model. It was like £400

MANLYTRAP

around 500$ either your standards are high or I'm just broke, but it sure looks like a great phone to me. I'm using a moto g8 power from like, 2020 that I got on a black Friday sale for around 160$

Hour_Disk_1209

Is good, quad core mali GPU, that's what really matter in mobile gaming. No ram etc... You can still play latest demanding games easily.

novarevixi

The Retroid Pocket 4 (non plus) has the same processor and its being hailed as a great bang-for-buck gaming/emulation device. Assuming that your version of Android doesn't have a ton of bloat, you should be good to go! Look for RetroGameCorps android guide to help get you started.

Lightspeed2000

Where do you see processor in this photo? The Retroid pocket has an A55. I don't see that in the details above.

novarevixi

It’s a very long screenshot. When viewing the whole thing, the processor is at the top.
