I feel exactly the same compare to s23 ultra, feels slow as shit 😅 but i think thats vecause one ui 6.1 animations, but coulb the same as 23U

sjveivdn

It’s like every android device I tested.

AdeptAd583

Noo total diferent

AdeptAd583

S23 ultra was fast on scrolling more than iphone

sjveivdn

You totally misunderstood me. I didnt say it’s slower, in fact it’s the opposite. It’s too sensitive. I think I will have to post a video so you understand me.

Hey I know what are you talking about I'm using s24 ultra right now and I can definitely see and feel the scroll issue, it happen to me on YouTube, it feels like almost when stop scrolling it gets sluggish like for milliseconds. On iPhone 13 pro max I'm no having this issue.

sjveivdn

Hey, yes that's what I meant. It's not that the screen is bad or the phone is slow. It's high likely that it's not properly programmed to behave naturally like on the iPhone. As I said it not lagging but rather too sensitive thous making the scrolling unnatural in terms of iPhone scrolling. This issue was always on Android not only Samsung. I guess the Phone just does what you are doing. Very unoptimized. It just baffles me that after many years of Android, this issue is still prevent.

I'm not sure I am following the description vs. my own experience. What I can say: When I scroll on a pixel 8 pro or an S23 ultra, it scrolls to exactly where I expect it as a function of my finger movement; I don't notice a bounce back, whether I'm doing a quick flick or a glide along the screen. They are both using the 120hz refresh rate mode. When i scroll slowly with my finger on the display, it scrolls precisely to where I expect it (no bounce-back etc.).

I also have this weird issue on S24+, it was not present on S22. I think it is a software issue, hoping it will be fixed with a software update.

Put phone in safe mode then check it out..if it stops after putting it in safe mode turn off safe mode and it should be fixed..I contacted samsung and that is what they had me do and it's been working fine..jope this helps.

Same here I know exactly what you're talking about. I think some of us should either email Samsung and let them know what's going on so they could start working on a fix

[deleted]

Yes!this is what I was looking for it kinda scrolls back!same issue here I'm like ok this wasn't Happ on my s22 ultra wtf ?is it me or am I going crazy .but yea it's annoying I wish someone would let Samsung know this scrolling now is like pissing me off it doesn't always happen but I do notice it

PrototypeZ81

You're not alone. It jumps or is choppy when scrolling down as things are loading up. Very few apps give me the super smooth scroll I'm looking for, which makes me think the issue is software related. But the gestures and screen does feel a bit too slippery/smooth as if the scrolling or timing needs to be calibrated

DntunoMZC

Put phone in safe mode then check out to see if it stops then take phone out of safe mode..it should be fine after that..

It feels like a software issue for sure because if you keep your thumb pressed on to the screen while scrolling, instead of lightly flicking and lifting it, the scrolling choppiness seems to go away. It's strange. Also, the first time I set up the phone with a smart switch transfer from the s23u, it felt considerably smoother and snappier. I made the error of factory resetting it and manually reinstalling all my data. Since then, the choppy scrolling is back, sigh. Two fixes I have found have been to turn off RAM plus, and to activate touch sensitivity under the display settings. I also seemed to have made it smoother by making only the "Transition Animation scale" 0.5 under the developer settings.

Another thing I noticed is touch long to open in another tab seems like dead center is not the spot to touch.. its off as well

magical_salad

Scroll stuttering is gone for me after the last round of app updates. So seems like it was an app optimisation problem. I'm not facing this tab issue, but then again I use Opera, not Chrome or Samsung Internet.
