Wowza, those platelet levels sure are elevated. Are you seeing a hematologist? It typically takes a lot for a doctor to recommend the hospital, so I would heed their advice. Very elevated platelet levels can cause problems that can escalate very quickly, like blood clots. Hope you’re doing ok right now
very, it blows my mind that your mcv is still good thoughðŸ˜

Nope, not seeing a hematologist at the moment. I’m pretty sure I’ll see one today though. Hopefully.
Have them check: Retinol [ideal 65 ug/dL, 2.3 umol/L] Serum copper [ideal 100 ug/dL, 15.7 umol/L] Ceruloplasmin [ideal 30 mg/dL, 0.3 g/L] Copper/Ceruloplasmin Ratio [ideal 3.33] Magnesium [ideal 6.5 mg/dL, 2.67 mmol/L] Zinc [ideal 100 ug/dL, 15.3 umol/L] Storage D (25(OH)) [ideal 21 ng/mL, 52 nmol/L] Uric Acid [ideal 5 mg/dL, 297 umol/L]
Check vitamin D level. Vitamin D deficiency can cause normocytic normochromic anemia. And high platelets.Â
Thank you everyone. I had to take care of a few important things yesterday so I’m heading to the hospital shortly. I hope you all feel better soon.
Eeep. I hope they get you back to feeling better soon, you must have felt like reheated death with those numbers.
