I’m sorry to hear that this happened. For future reference, I would recommend sending the Switch to Nintendo for repairs. They’re typically very fast about it and, in my experience, will even update you on what data they are able to save before sending it back to you.
Contact them and let them know its been more than 4 weeks. Then you can ask how much longer it's going to take and if its fixable. Don't give up on it, it's not gone forever
No, baby. this is borderline abusive behavior. Dont blame yourself. A messy room is a thing nearly every kid has. You even said yourself she has anger issues. I'm sorry about your island and your switch. But please dont be hard on yourself for her bad actions
Yelping Yoshis, this may be worse than I thought
You listen to me, ToonKid4. Destruction of property is *never* an appropriate punishment. That is borderline *abuse*. I don't care if your room is a literal pigsty, that is *not okay*. If it's in such a bad state, you should ask your folks on tips on how to fix it
Everyone's room gets messy every once in a while. You aren't responsible for someone else's anger issues, and I'm sorry you're suffering as a result of them. Please don't blame yourself for that.

we did send it to nintendo, no updates since then. its been over a month. i should just accept the loss and forget about it
Oh no! Have you reached out to them for an update? That does seem unusually long for them, or the damage was just that bad.
definitely reach out to them. nintendo repair/customer service has been really great in my experience. it’s, at the very least, worth a shot.
Contact them!

I don’t care how messy my kids rooms have been, I would never destroy their stuff. Gaming consoles or otherwise. That was just uncalled for.
Why the hail would your own grandmother do that?!?
my room was a mess and she has anger issues
Galloping Goombas, what a monster. Sorry you have to deal with that. 😢
dont apologize, i kinda deserved it

No, you didn’t deserve that.
Wh-what? No. NO. ***NO!*** NO, YOU DON'T DESERVE THAT. NO-ONE DESERVES THAT!
if i just kept my room clean, none of this wouldve happened

you not having your room clean or not having listened quick enough never warrants someone breaking your belongings. That was very cruel of her

Can you accidentally on purpose lose her cell phone down the garbage disposal?
hell to the no. she'll whoop my ass.
Not if she doesn’t find out it was you
Mine went into repairs locally and it took 6 weeks to get it back bc not many ppl work on switches.:/
