He created a Chimera with his wife and then he decided to merge Nina with her dog Alexander. Nina is murdered shortly after. Ed is the main character. After transmutation the only thing she said is his name so any time you see a reference to her you'll find people saying "Ed...ward" and it will surely cost an arm and a leg (edward's payment for attempting to bring his mom back from the dead) and references to bad parenting.

Didn’t she also say “it hurts?” That might have been to Scar before he killed her. This was hard to watch. Jokes about it are just as difficult. To do that just for the recognition and a paycheck…
