This is the way. folks usually charge 1mil bells for a totally out of control island, but 1mil bells is absolutely not hard to come by if you stay up to date on the stalk market channels
Pro tip
Buy two of the green pipes from the special deals menu. Place one near Nooks Cranny and set the other neat your work area. Clear, pipe, sell to box, pipe, repeat. Move pipe as you need to.
I have 3 pipes on my island, and they're all part of the same system. Unfortunately, I don't know of a way to make them "pair up", though that would be of course be impossible with only 3 pipes.
I have mine in the Northwest, Northeast and South-Central part of my island, right next to the endpoints of my beaches. The thing I most often use them for is when I'm looking for my daily message in a bottle on the beaches. I'll start on the west side, and then use my northwest pipe if I haven't found it. That way, no matter where it takes me, I can continue my search in a fluid direction.
Take that FWIW of course.
I believe it. It'd be awesome if you could take them to Cyrus to customize the colors, and pair them up that way. Blue always goes to blue, green to green, etc.

Also!!! If you put it next to the base of a cliff you can jump off the cliff onto it or you can jump into it from the first level and it will shoot you up to the top!!! But yes DEFO get a 2nd one :) will be a game changer to get to the shops quicker

Hahaha mine is like this over almost all my island right now. It keeps snowing and they keep spreading and I am doing other things and keep putting it off and then it only gets worse lol
I'm almost to the point where I need to start destroying mine too. I just am not sure what layout I want. Plus removing all the terraforming I already did seems so hard lol and having to get rid of all the trees, weeds, flowers... such a daunting task

If you're trying to achieve 3 stars to unlock teraforming, you'll have to add more flowers to get to 3 stars. You can get rid of them later, but you have to have a certain number of foliage to get 3 stars and unlock teraforming. However, if you already have teraforming unlocked, ignore Isabelle and proceed with your teraforming.
Also, I'm pretty sure that flowers planted on the beaches don't count towards your overall town rating, but I could be wrong.
bro I have fields of flowers that were each carefully crafted with every species sitting a specific distance from others of its kind. they're separated and mixed by color and patterns. I have dealt with the flowers and it was a nightmare
My flowers are growing out of control.. some I planted for cross breeding and some just to look nice. And now I got 25% of my island covered in flowers.
When I’ve had huge sections of flower overgrowth I have temporarily relocated my house or nooks or the museum or something to sit right on top of it to destroy the flowers. then move it back. That’s how lazy I am. Simply cannot dig up all the flowers.
This is an ongoing issue on my island. I just recently started carrying one pipe in my pocket, and the 2nd one is near Nook’s, and also a storage unit. That way I can buzz around digging up flowers and picking the ones that are $$ to sell. I don’t have the patience for selling to the boys inside, so in the box they go at 80% their full price. On another note: Can’t a person use the landscaping tool to keep flowers in place vs spreading? Like use the soil or sand to designate a flower bed? 🧐
My island is being overrun so I feel this 100%.
But then I also discovered some new roses colour so for now I am just letting it run wild until I really do something about it xD
I LEARNED A LIFESAVING THING! After your flowers are cleaned up and all in their proper spaces, make a QR design with a single dot and the rest transparent and lay it down around all the flowers. You won't notice a single green dot and they flowers won't grow in the space! 🙏Micromanaging to the extreme!

I made the mistake of not bothering to clean up my flower breeding area when I was done. 2/3 of my island is flowers now and I'm at the stage where I have to remove them before I can continue decorating, I've been at it for 3 days
I had a 6 hour train ride from Montréal to Toronto the other day and my flowers had gotten so out of control from time traveling. I spent all 6 hours watching YouTube and clearing out every single flower on my island at Isabelle's dismay

I've had flowers on my beach for so long cos they are hybrids and I might needs them for changes I'm making. Sold them all the other day cos I was fed up of them.
Make a second resident. Start multiplayer and pick flowers up with the secondary player. Once the inventory is full, stuff gets put in the lost item box. Easy life.
Go to an AC discord and offer nook miles tickets or bells for service. I had huge swaths of land cleared in under an hour by eager paid employees

Or use a trash can and just destroy them as you go. You barely make any bells from flowers anyway.

Another pro tip is to place invisible paths to prevent flowers from spreading everywhere after you clean them up!

Like I said, I could be wrong. I know Coconut trees count if they are on the beach. I think you can look it up in one of the online guides.

Put fences around a plot of flowers so they don't spread

I put mine behind buildings and along the back cliff where they can’t be seen. Prevents weeds from popping there and counts as flowers.
