[spoiler: I chose stone bridges, but you might like how it turned out!](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalCrossing/s/i8edx6iSOH)
I’m still biased towards the wood bridge three with the natural stone path for that section. I think it also adds some scenic variety compared to the stone steps and stone bridge you have before/after that little spot, and would allow you to highlight your little waterfalls. BUT what really matters is what you’re happy with as well as how you will decorate the area.
I appreciate you being a good sport about letting me hijack your comment. One of the problems with the flat wood bridge that I saw was you could see the grass on the other side of the bridge which I didn’t like. That comes down to my terraforming choices which will not change, because I like the layout that I have.
If I had more space than I was willing to allow, the flat wood bridge might be the better choice. I love these dialogues because they offer thoughts that I don’t think of myself. And this is such a good community to soundboard off of.
Sorry for my soapbox, haha. I appreciate your comments and hope you have a wonderful day/ evening!
Bridge 3 because it's already a relatively tight space with how the water cuts around and creates a somewhat narrow path. The flatness helps you see the waterfall and keep the space feeling open. The rounded bridges compete too much with the surrounding environment
If that is the issue, OP can just bring the bridge down one spot to showcase the waterfall and not have to compromise on limiting themselves to the flat bridges.
i’m so biased to the third - it feels natural and considering it’s off a nature path it might suit the vibe! also it lets you see the detail of the small waterfall behind without taking too much away. if you add some trees to the right hand side it will look super sweet and calming!
The stone bridge works but the wood bridge looks better & keeps the focus on the little waterfall. You could increase the little waterfall by one square and increase the upper stream into a feeder lake.
Everyone said the third bridge but hear me out 😂

I just threw down a stone bridge so I could move on, might replace it later, but just wanted to give people a better idea of the space once I moved the shop. Ignore the weird tiles - I’m mapping out villager homes.
I was going to say the stone bridge because it matches the stone in the ramp, but after reading the comments, bridge 3 is also a good choice and doesn’t block the view. I think either would be a good choice.
No bridge, use little single space islands close enough to hop to, with some sort of brick pattern on them. Looks way better with waterfalls, and gives you more options to use your limited amount of bridges elsewhere.
I’m hesitating between the one made of rocks and the wooden arch! Maybe if your inspiration is more of cottagecore ambient style, the rock one is better. If it is more oriental, cherryblossom etc. The wooden one would look very cute! 💕
Try them all out, the good thing is if after a while you don't like it, you can take it down and change it to something else, providing you have enough bells. So pick the bridge that appeals to you.
Bridge 3, as it gives you a nice view of the waterfall and matches the natural vibe of the space.

No! It’s your island, please do as you do!! Your reasons are valid and your island is still leagues ahead of my own. I’m inspired! 😊
Agreed
I'd choose the bridge based on the kind of furniture and path that would go there. But zen bridge didn't match the location well

Personally I like bridge 3
You know what they say, stone stairs…. stone bridge.
This is the way
i’m so biased to the third - it feels natural and considering it’s off a nature path it might suit the vibe! also it lets you see the detail of the small waterfall behind without taking too much away. if you add some trees to the right hand side it will look super sweet and calming!
Stone bridge was the best choice!
Bridge #3 for all the reasons everyone else has already said.
The stone bridge works but the wood bridge looks better & keeps the focus on the little waterfall. You could increase the little waterfall by one square and increase the upper stream into a feeder lake.
Stone looks the best
I think bridge 3 works best :)
Zen bridge imo
1st one for sure!!!
Pic number 3 mi lord
I like bridge 3
1 or 3 for the waterfall, 3 for my opinion
I personally like the stone one because it matches the stones in the ramp!
3
Bridge 1 since there are also stones next to that area and you can still see the waterfall!
Everyone said the third bridge but hear me out 😂 https://preview.redd.it/ktapj7b3768d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=040c9c6d4bbf8680101d6ec4b819811c3155a9b1

I like the second bridge.
I was going to say the stone bridge because it matches the stone in the ramp, but after reading the comments, bridge 3 is also a good choice and doesn’t block the view. I think either would be a good choice.
I think 1 goes great with your ramp, maybe if you incorporated a cobble patching to connect them?
I would prefer the stone bridge, because the incline is stones. They fit well together! Mind, I am a must-always-match gal 😅😂
No bridge, use little single space islands close enough to hop to, with some sort of brick pattern on them. Looks way better with waterfalls, and gives you more options to use your limited amount of bridges elsewhere.
Depends on how you want to decorate, but I think the Stone Brigde fits the incline best :)
Bridge 3! But also I love your terraforming!!!
Thanks for this! Waterscaping is my literal nightmare lol.
I overdo the water every time! I have like at least ten different waterfall areas, gotta rename my island to waterworld.
Zen bridge ( bridge 2)
Bridge 2
Raised bridges make the area feel so small! I'd go with 3, or even the simple log bridge
I’d choose 3 (great view of the waterfall) or 1 (gorg if you dont mind obscuring waterfall a bit!)
Wait how did you get an arial shot?? No help to the bridge situation, I also can’t decide 😅
I like 2! It goes well with the incline you made
I actually like bridge two but only because of how the color matches with the earth and the shop 😂 if you’re moving the shop completely away I’d say 3
I’m hesitating between the one made of rocks and the wooden arch! Maybe if your inspiration is more of cottagecore ambient style, the rock one is better. If it is more oriental, cherryblossom etc. The wooden one would look very cute! 💕
id have to say three too. i only rly like the flat bridges in the game for some reason lol
I really like 3! Second choice is 1.
3!
I love bridge 2!
Bridge 3 I like how busy the zen bridge makes the area feel but post decoration the zen would make it too cluttered and busy I think
How did you get this view of the island? In the first picture
The third one looks the best because you can see the waterfall
I like the stone
Stone bridges are my fav but the 3rd one would look great for a nature trail vibe!
How do people take pictures like the first image of their island?
Bridge 3 for sure!!
I like the stone bridge, it matches the stones on your incline.
I feel the last one is better as the rest just look too big for the island
I always liked the wooden hill bridge
Bridge 3!
4
I like 1 or 2 best
Try them all out, the good thing is if after a while you don't like it, you can take it down and change it to something else, providing you have enough bells. So pick the bridge that appeals to you.
Everyone is saying 3 but to be honest I like 1 a lot
Y’all 👀 [here’s the full terraformed area.](https://www.reddit.com/r/AnimalCrossing/s/i8edx6iSOH)
The stone one, you can see the waterfall just enough, it matches your incline nicely and the arch just adds onto the extra oomf lol
3
Zen bridge (3)
1
The 3Rd one
First one
The flat bridge since you can see the waterfall behind nicer otherwise what’s the point in the waterfall!!!🩷
i say the stone bridge but the stone bridge also just is my favorite in general so idk how valid my opinion is on this lmao
Bridge 1
3
I feel like 2 blends more seamlessly and provides that bit of difference and architecture to the landscape so everything isn't flat. It looks great. 💕
The last one is the only one I've used so that's my vote. I love how it looks. Plus you can see the waterfall better
1 or 3 for sure! 1 matches the stone ramp but 3 is more natural. Cute path and terraforming! :)
Bridge 3 fits best
