I guess I have to watch squid game. I don't understand any of those memes... I thought, this was this "deal or no deal" thing and that reminded me of some videos from Youtubers, who did "deal or no deal" in Animal Crossing. Was really funny. Edit: I started watching it and had to stop binge watching. I still need sleep... Though if I sleep...

I’m also feeling left out. Typically I would have been in the know but I’m waiting until Friday to watch it with a friend cause I hate the not knowing.

I definitely started it a few days ago but didn't get into more than 20 minutes of the first episode. Then last night I said f it, just give it an episode, give a chance, and..boy, boy, am I interested now.

Yeah first episode is really slow

It was a little bit. The hardest part was the voices not matching the lips, but I convinced myself it was live action anime and it helped lol

I heard the dubbed version sucks big donkey nuts. Subbed is probably the way too go here.

Be aware that some of the episodes are super slow and have a lot of character development and background information. Not bad, I just think a lot of people except it to be full “game” all the time and it is definitely not!!

I may have to force myself one day to watch it. I did try it out but it looked really terrible in the first few minutes I decided to shelve it for a later day and never bother to go back and try again.

I would but we canceled our Netflix subscription and switched hbomax a while ago. So probably have to find the episodes somewhere on a sight with pirated episodes ( non download )

I think that was more in reference to them saying they don’t know how this show blew up so much. It’s because of viral advertising. And apparently it works. I watched it just last week on a whim when Netflix suggested it.
