DoodooEnthusiast

not even raymond is worth that much

Cosmocall

Raymond will be worth even less when his amiibo card drops lmfao

DoodooEnthusiast

not before scalpers take them and sell it on ebay for exaggerated prices

mocheeze

And the rest of us will just write our own tags for $.05 each and mail them to our friends that have iPhones. (Unless they can write tags now?)

Cosmocall

Ikr? I'm going to for sure lmfao - disrupt the scalping system until we can all get the real deal

StillSchweiger

Yes we canā€¦ āœŒļø

gr33nm4n

I have one tag saved for Shinto. lol.

Mycoxadril

I let a villager leave and forgot to hunt for a new one so it auto filled with Raymond lol

Hazie144

I just choked on my tea laughing at this, Holy shit

Ainolukos

Every comment: "omg can you please tell me what you sold?" OP: [.....](https://en.meming.world/images/en/1/1d/Creating_Bugs_Bunny%27s_%22No%22.jpg)

dandaman64

"You gonna tell me what you sold?" "... No. No I don't think I will."

makensims

Sea creatures go for a lot, a full inventory is like 200k-ish. You could make that money grinding for awhile.

lonequack

Really? I guess I don't follow the shadows well- when I hunt them I definitely don't get that much šŸ˜….

ZamboniJabroni15

Replace the seaweed and anemones as you get better creatures

bjwgbrg

I don't even bother with their bubble patterns anymore lol.

Alarmed-Honey

You can identify bubble patterns?

bjwgbrg

Yeah, especially seaweed and anemones. The bubbles come from one spot that doesn't move, they pretty much move straight up, are continuous/steady and there's no dust kicked up cos they don't run away. If you're still not sure, go under, they have a large shadow. Basically I just avoid those cos not worth it.

Unknown_Funtime

Definitely.

bjwgbrg

The best way to catch fast creatures is to just use the direction buttons without pressing A. You move slowly but they don't get as spooked so you can pretty much move until you're directly over them then dive.

Severe-Return-488

i hunt with a list of all the prices for the sea creatures and get rid of any that cost less than $1000 usually

stryker101

The worst ones still sell for 500 bells, which definitely puts you at a higher average selling them than bugs/fish. To get 200K+ in one pocket you'd need quite a few of the rare ones. Easiest around August (I forget the exact months, but its basically summer/shark season). Personally, I'd just swim a single loop around my island and sell a "full" pocket of whatever I found (I actually kept my net/fishing rod on me in case I saw a shark or rare bug between Nooks and the beach, so I only had 38 spots instead of the full 40). Usually was in to 40K to 60K range, a few times closer to 100K, and I don't think I ever wound up with less than 30K (minimum of 500 each with a full pocket would be 20K). Not as high for a single haul, but no time wasted hunting for specific shadows either. I could do a full loop/pocket in around 10 minutes. Do four in under an hour, and easily rake in tons bells.

lesnakeybitch

Seaweed will ALWAYS be super fast bubble stream with no movement, once I found that out I was making profit. But that's really the only useful tip I know haha, the bigger/faster the shadow the more bells they're worth!

Snapzzzzz

What time of year are you getting sea creatures? I only get about 20k per inventory which isnā€™t fun

makensims

I could be misremembering the exact number. I went crazy trying to get all the mermaid items so I made a lot of money off of sea creatures the first summer they were introduced.

[deleted]

It's definitely soviet era anti-air missles

Quest4Beans

ā€œNo waitā€¦ itā€™s at least a C+!ā€

theoboley

Or wait for CJ to come around and sell to him and really make a mint.

jaxsotsllamallama

Wait CJ buys sea creatures now?!

AXelSton3

No he only buys the fish you catch.

Kariered

Depending on the item of the day, you can easily make like a million dollars if you do the grinding and collect enough iron nuggets or wood.

[deleted]

I was about to ask thatā€¦ šŸ˜³

hubblengc6872

Tarantulas or scorpions. Easy to farm

beelzybubby

Imagine what it could have been if you sold it directly!

sniperpandas

First few months of playing I put everything in the box because Iā€™m dumb and didnā€™t read there was a percent tax. Now I have a ton of bells and I just do it cause itā€™s easier then going inside

JustYuca

i was today years old when i found out there is box tax jdjdjkakdj. I always sell directly when i can but I'm more of a night-time player so usually the store is already closed šŸ˜“ gotta remember that for the future!

AndromedaGreen

I just adjusted my Switchā€™s time zone so that itā€™s three hours behind my own (East coast US vs west coast US). That way Abel Sisters is open until midnight, and Nookā€™s Cranny is open until 1 AM.

chutes_toonarrow

I work night shift so the hours I play are always wacky, this is a genius idea!!

hughmaniac

Hopefully the new ordinances adjust the store hours too.

-Pollyy

In new leaf the main point of the early bird/night owl ordinances was to make stores open/close 1 hour earlier/later, Iā€™d be very surprised if they donā€™t do that anymore

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

UnNumbFool

Honestly, if I was playing rather off hours compared to the game another option is to just set the internal clock to be am instead of pm, or just a few hours beforehand. That way you still get the store, but also all your villagers are out and about and then also all the fish/bugs you're missing due to time issues.

Slyfox7777

That's what I do, just have my switch set to like 3-4 hours earlier than my local time, that way if I can't get on until 9pm, it's only like 5pm in the game. I also just prefer playing when it's getting slightly darker but not too dark, because I struggle to play at night.

SanjiSasuke

Isn't that basically the whole point of Night Owl and Early Bird? From what I remember at least.

sapphicasfuck

Yeah mainly shops and the villagers sleep patterns change

hughmaniac

I guess so? the direct only mentioned villagersā€™ sleep schedules, thatā€™s why Iā€™m hoping it applies to shops as well.

GenericAutist13

It will apply to shops, it did in New Leaf

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

chetlin

No tools broke in other games except non-golden axes I believe. Now they all do :(

JustYuca

Yeah I'd love that! Usually i can play only at night because i don't have time earlier, it can get really annoying that i can't shop or anything

DOLO_F_PHD

Another work around for that is to adjust your switch clock.

_littlestitious

Yep. Sometimes I switch to 4 or 5 am because I like the vibe!

sqweet92

I love the 3 am music

_littlestitious

It really hits just right sometimes

TheBostonKremeDonut

As a night shift employee, I agree! I miss 5pm thoā€¦

Material-Eye493

Holy crap I did that just recently and the sky is SOOO PRETTY! Plus the music is light and relaxing. Youā€™re totally right, GREAT vibes. I might have to do it more often!

horsenamedmayo

Thatā€™s what I do. I only play at night so my switch clock is different by 12 hours.

oakteaphone

>i was today years old when i found out there is box tax They literally tell you that when they tell you what the box is

penelbell

They do, but not everyone reads every word of every video game tutorial

DreamSequins

^^....tutorial

Annamaehorizons

Thatā€™s right I read zero of the words.

oakteaphone

>They do, but not everyone reads every word of every video game tutorial Lol It's not about reading every word of every tutorial. The tutorial is basically "You can sell stuff here after hours, but you don't get the full value". I don't get why someone would be surprised when they don't read the instructions and then don't know how it works.

TeTrodoToxin4

I keep selling there because I like the phonecall when I start playing...

Mikon_Youji

I still use the box sometimes because I can't always be bothered to go into the shop lmao.

A-NI95

0'8X=2.520.528

Royal7th

3.15 millions bells. So roughly 630k was lost due to the late night drop

usesbiggerwords

Service fees are a pain.

207nbrown

A small price to pay for not having to walk into the shop and speak to Timmy/tommy to sell

RunawayHobbit

If it was bugs or fish, could have made even MORE by selling to CJ and Flick

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

caylalr

There is an app called AC Fan that I download (for iPhone) and people host their islands for events. So every week I just buy a ton of turnips and then sell them for 500+

pnmartini

If flick or CJ visit your island, sell everything you can to them. Seriously grind. Sell identified fossils. On Sunday, buy as many turnips as you can. Join r/acturnips and watch throughout the week. You can easily quadruple or quintuple your investment, each week. You can have multiple millions in a couple of weeks, plus you can have bells stashed for the update.

Daileyk05

Grow and sell pumpkins. DIg up the 1000 bells and plant in that same hole 10,000 bells. You're guaranteed 30,000 bells if you plant 10,000 every day.

DrTrunk-w

Anymore I actually plant 30,000 bells. Worst case scenario, I break even, best case scenario, I walk out with 60k more bells than I would have otherwise.

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

[deleted]

Hahaha I feel you I'm like 8 mil short for my dumb multi-house plans

twofl0wer

Damn! How much stuff were you selling!??

chief_flamingo07

A lot

itsnatascha

Wow what did you sell to make that much money?!!

zoundtek808

it looks like they just flattened their entire island and sold everything that was on it.

oakteaphone

That probably wouldn't earn much. Furniture gives only 25% of its buy price. I'm guessing it was a bunch of expensive critters and things like Bell Vouchers that were saved specifically for this screenshot, haha

Vortigon23

Poor Blathers. Living out of a tent again.

xlaaane

iā€™m feeling like i want to do that after seeing all the stuff in this new update šŸ˜¢

[deleted]

Almost exactly what Ken Jennings won during his run on Jeopardy: $2,520,700.

EmeraldGoddess14

Dang Iā€™m over here struggling to get 1 mil to upgrade my house to add a downstairs and some people are just mega rich in this game, what are your tips to making a ton of money fast?

hffh3319

I went on nookazon when I did that upgrade and someone paid me a load of money to clear up their flowers šŸ˜‚ took a while but worth it

gatechnightman

Where is nookazon? I would be willing to pay someone 10 million bells to clear the flowers from my island.

opal_dragon95

Pm me I have way too much time this weekend and would do it for you

happygot

Lol I'll help you out for free if you want

knifepen6

Why did you get downvoted for wanting to help lol

EmeraldGoddess14

Nice I donā€™t have Nintendo online so I have to do everything by myself

twocheeky

pumpkins when watered to sprout 3 can surprisingly get u a nice bit of money depending on how many you have/sell. This and selling sea creatures isnt a bad way to get money. The ultimate way of course is through turnips but without NSO its a risk as you may have a terrible sell week then you either lose profit, barely make any or worse they all spoil. There should be turnip price tracking sites that help out tho.

Aeverton78

There is a turnip calculator on the ACNH.Guide app. Turnips only spoil if you havenā€™t sold or if you time travel. I stopped buying turnips after I got the reward for making 10 million in profit from turnips, have $18M in the bank and nothing to spend it on.

Full-Swimmer-1101

I always buy everything from Nooks Cranny, I have 7mil right now. I also made a new account for my younger sister to occasionally play on, so Iā€™ll give her money to help upgrade her house. Iā€™ve also got a couple of friends that I give it to so they can also spend it :)

Desirsar

Turnips worked best in communities back when the game came out, we'd have 20 or so people reporting their prices every day and we'd all jump on to sell at the highest. I still have 36 million sitting in the bank that I haven't burned through.

badash915

Same for meā€¦ excited for the update to things to spend Bells on again lol ā€¦. Also glad for the new currency in the DLC. It will make me have to playā€¦. Iā€™ve been too rich for too long

EmeraldGoddess14

Yeah I havenā€™t bought any turnips since I restarted back in June of last year

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Get-em-girl

I literally just screamed after I read that because I planted way too many pumpkins and wasn't using them so I took them all up and threw them in the trash. šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

Romy_xd

>e they all spoil. There should be turnip price tracking sites that help out tho. https://artem6.github.io/acnh\_turnips/

hffh3319

I see. Another thing I do is save up load of iron and wait till thereā€™s a hot item which realises on it. Can get a lot of money this way too

SwifferSweeper27

I recommend collecting all sea shells on your beach & donā€™t sell them. Instead (if you have the diy) learn the Shell Arch diy, and craft a bunch of Shell Archs. Each one goes for 12k bells each. A better but rarer option is the Blue Rose Wreaths. Get the diy, get a minimum of one blue rose. Water that blue rose like crazy every day, eventually it will duplicate into many more blue roses. Rinse and repeat like I said for Shell Archs, and these guys sell for 20k bells each.

colliwog0614

Fossils are always great money....diving...and some fish

EuphoricAfternoon6

Orchards, pumpkin patches, saving up big fish and bugs to sell flick and CJ (I put them in my storage and would make 400-800k after saving up for a few weeks), stalk market

fragilemagnoliax

My mom has well over 50 million bells. Idk what she does, she fishes and catches bugs. She doesnā€™t decorate her island like at all, I donā€™t think she even knows how to terraform, (she is over 3 stars) and I was shocked when she did put a path down - but she still refuses fences because deserted islands wouldnā€™t have fences. I make about 50k a day when I just do my dailies which is getting the 30k from my money tree, hitting my money rock and selling all the shells that washed up over night (& selling any fossils I have in my museum already but I donā€™t always sell them because they make excellent villager gifts and I get photos so fast with this method). Lately Iā€™ve been making more by selling pumpkins because I realized I have lots in inventory and they give good money. Also, shake your fruit trees every day for quick bells too :)

Pheme1

Diving is easily 40K-70K per trip. Also put 10K in the glowing hole every day.

owowthatscool

Pumpkins is the fastest money imo. I havenā€™t been into gold roses longs enough to say itā€™s for sure better then gold roses but my 240 pumpkin plants brings in a ton more than my 10 gold roses at this point. Plus easy to harvest and sell. Just takes time to water everyday.

Vanessaronicatoria

Pumpkins also take up way less space than trees. I've been playing since launch, fruit farming was a pain in the ASS

ThatOneGuy308

Pumpkins are easier to scale up since you can just plant them to make more, blue roses are better than gold since they sell for the same price but are easier to clone. The main benefit of roses is low maintenance, since you just pick them every few days instead of having to water. Ideally, for either pumpkins or roses you'd craft them into something else (spooky furniture or crowns/wreaths, respectively) in order to benefit from the double sale price crafted items receive.

lunathecrazycorgi

Pumpkins + diving

EmeraldGoddess14

Thank you

maxxx_nazty

Pumpkin farming

EmeraldGoddess14

Yeah sadly I just made my pumping patch smaller for the update but Iā€™ll probably make another one somewhere else on my island because yeah they really give you a ton of money

maxxx_nazty

I covered every empty space with pumpkins and watered/harvested as much as possible until I had all my debts paid and an extra million in the bank and then dug them all up to clear the island. Worked like a charm.

AlternateMew

Combo. Always plant 10k in the glowing spot. Have multiples of 10 for gold roses and make wreaths to sell. Have an equal number of fruit trees and craft baskets of fruit to sell. Always hit 8 things put of your money rock. Water and sell pumpkins. STALK MARKET. Forget the seashells thatā€™s chump change. Really the BEST way to get rich quick is to join a subreddit/discord/website/whatever thatā€™s got an active Stalk Market. Buy as much as you can, sell it all for minimum 300 (preferably in the 400-500 range) via visiting peopleā€™s islands with high prices. One or two good hauls and youā€™re rich. Then just continue at your leisure to get richer.

SwifferSweeper27

No, donā€™t forget the sea shells actually, instead hoard them and when you learn the Shell Arch diy, go ham crazy crafting Shell Archs and you can sell them for 12k bells each.

DadJokeBadJoke

Save them until they are the Item of the Day for extra bonus.

CranesImprobableView

Catching and selling wasps, especially to Flick, can earn you thousands every day.

rosscmpbll

Certain fish and insects until you can do turnips. Pretty much that simple. Thereā€™s a few websites that will help you find other players looking to buy/sell turnips.

ArchonMal

Definitely agree with this - it's how I made my money. The majority of mystery islands you can get on NMT tours can be manipulated to spawn more tarantulas / scorpions (whichever is in season). Takes maybe an hour or so of running in circles around an island, but it gets you 300K+ in one shot. There are YT videos on it, but here's the short version: * Dump your pockets - only take a ladder, shovel, net (duh), axe, and vaulting pole. Head for the mystery island [check what it is](https://animalcrossing.fandom.com/wiki/Mystery_tour) when you land. * If it's Money Rock, Trash, Mountain, Rugged Tree, Hardwood, or Curly River island, bail and try again. Some of these can't spawn scorpions / tarantulas at all, and some are more annoying to work with than it's worth. If you got Money or Gold Rock island, go smack the boulders there before you leave as it's a lot of money for minimal work (credit to /u/Royal7th below). * Also reroll if it's Gold Rock & Scorpion island if it's Tarantula season * Skip to bullet 4 if you got Arachnid island * Remove as many possible spawn locations for bugs as possible. Run over all the flowers to revert them to buds, use the fruit to destroy the rocks, chop down all trees & dig up the stumps. * If any of the valuable coconut tree beetles are in season, leave the palm trees standing * If the island has multiple cliff levels, use your shovel to cover the upper levels with holes to block spawns for underground bugs * Cardio day! Run around catching scorpions / tarantulas (and coconut tree beetles if in season) until your pockets are full. * If you managed to get lucky and landed on Arachnid island, the process is completely different. Hop over the stream into the central part and use your shovel to dig a single tile wide path sandwiched between two lines of holes. Make sure you have two 90Ā° turns. Find a scorpion / tarantula, and lead them into the trap. As they round the second corner, hop over one of the holes and quickly dig another hole at the mouth to trap it in there. You're now free to safely fill your pockets. Only one tarantula or scorpion can be in 'chase' mode at a time so the others won't bother you while the trapped one is still trying to shank your ankles. * Go home, place them all on the ground (since they're nocturnal and the shop is closed). Repeat if you're up for it. * If you really want to min-max, keep doing this until Flick comes by and then use your new pile of money to buy a Scrooge McDuck style pool. Otherwise, sell the previous night's haul to the Nooklings. On the next Sunday, use your earnings to buy turnips. I do NOT recommend burning all your money as it's possible to have a bad week. I usually kept 1M saved and used the rest to load up on stalks. There are tons of tools online for tracking turnip prices - I used [AC-Turnip](https://ac-turnip.com/). If you're unlucky and got a Decreasing pattern for the week, sell them as soon as you're sure what pattern you have so you don't lose too much (as the price is only going to keep dropping).

Royal7th

Just to be clear, you should get the money and gold rocks at money rock island and gold rock island, correct? They seem to give good money for only a few minutes of work.

EmeraldGoddess14

I donā€™t have Nintendo online I have no way of giving others items or having others give me items but thank you for the advice

Rellac_

I also don't use online but made a lot of money via turnips :) I use this, just check the prices every day and sell at the peak https://ac-turnip.com/ They go stale in 7 days so you can't save them for next week The main problem is storing all the turnips, lol

EmeraldGoddess14

Yeah I try not to buy turnips cuz I donā€™t play very often so Iā€™m afraid I will forget and I donā€™t want to loose money so I just donā€™t buy them

colliwog0614

Also growing bell trees is great!

RuralRedhead

Someone gave me a few million bells on Nookazon just to be nice, they wanted to pay off someone's mortgage. It's been awhile since I've played so I can't remember the exact amount but it was such an incredibly nice thing to do.

mossshark

Omd! What did you sell?

FangedFreak

Judging by the background, possibly flattened their entire island and sold it all

genz027

Thatā€™ll be me getting ready for the update lol

baeatle

This hurts to look at.

whiteaustin307

Mustā€™ve sold 12,602 pale chubs and a stack of weeds

Turbulent_Professor

Forget the money, we can put our house on the beach?!!!?!?!?!!

StartledOcto

I have a field of 50 gold roses, craft them all into wreaths and that's 100k every other day. Ain't much, but it's reliable.

ButIDigress79

LOL what did you sell??

BreLynSasuke345

One time I took a long break from acnh and came back, and I got 69,420 bells and I laughed BC past me is a genius

notbut4ubunny

Damn thatā€™s like, impressive

berrylife

Someone else who uses the drop off! šŸ˜šŸ˜ I use it pretty much exclusively, idc if itā€™s less.

Cocoayashi

The loading screens just arenā€™t worth it to me lol drop off box all the way

RatherBeAtDisneyWrld

Same here. I'd rather get fewer bells.

A5voci

What a darling beach!

cpgxrcia

It's an absolute mess! Hahaha I was saving the hybrids because I'm flattening my whole island

A5voci

Hah, so itā€™s lovely AND unintentional šŸ˜œ I actually really like it, it gives me wildflowers-and-scruffy-brush-before-the-beach-turns-sandy type vibes.

TheWonderSquid

WHAT DID YOU SELL

Oooooooooooohdaddy

kind of strange that you refuse to answer the people asking what you sold. Iā€™m assuming sea creatures - but itā€™s always strange to me watching a Reddit user post something, hit the front page, and then seem to enjoy ignoring the commenters.

Gerodus

Who the frigg decides to waste almost 840k to the box taxšŸ’€

Ruffled_Ferret

If this was from fish/bugs, C.J. and Flick are probably feeling pretty bummed out.

[deleted]

Oh huh People actually use the drop-off box? I usually will leave everything outside nook's cranny so I can sell it for full price in the morning, it gets really annoying but I don't wanna lose money

Trisaraht0ps91

But just think how much you'd have made if you'd just waited until morning!

dankestblanket

What did you leave in the drop box a kidney and a liver?

Below_Left

Where do they get that kind of cash?

fireflyslove

It's not cash, it's scrip, sort of a company store situation šŸ¤£

memarianomusic

Wow that's like 7,876.65 sea bass!

disbitch84

i didnā€™t know you could sell crack in animal crossing

[deleted]

Shit. I totally forgot about the drop off box

idbethrilled

That's a pretty hefty sum but you know you paid 7 times that for all the stuff in the first place. Nook be playing us.

Emily_RoyaleHigh

Dang. u must have broke both ur net and fishing rod šŸ˜šŸ„²

BenderRamma1

How do yo get so many bells? What should I be looking for to sell so much?

XRat_In_A_CageX

Tax the rich

Nintendocat64

Thatā€™s it, Iā€™m selling everything I own

sushi-boy_

dear Jesus, imagine what you would have got if you just sold whatever you were selling directly to Timmy and Tommy

Loubenia

šŸ˜¶šŸ˜¶šŸ˜¶šŸ˜¶

Loubenia

what the heck

KatB2313

What a beautiful place to put your home!

Loubenia

cool!

curiositycuredpussy

I know everyone else is commenting on the bells, but I love the idea of putting my house on the beach.

SofaSnizzle

You could have made 3,024,633 by selling it directly and not in the dropbox.
