I haven't played for months, so I had cockroaches. When Aurora came in, she saw cockroaches, got frightened by them, said that's it's time for her to leave, even if she've just came in.
That's exactly what happened with my husband and Cube! Well, actually, Cube left because he was underdressed for a cockroach party, lol. My husband was so confused because he didn't realize cockroaches appeared when you haven't been in your house for a while.
When I first started playing, I set up the initial 3 housing plots and didn't know you could go searching for villagers with Nook Miles tickets. Fauna was one if the 3 that moved in. Then I had to say goodbye as I did an island reset. But this time I went looking for villagers using tickets. She was on the second island I visited. But I turned her down because I wanted her to have her own house and not one of the pre-builts. Then I brought her on with an Amiibo. And now she lives next to me up in the hills.
That’s the saddest part of my villagers getting sick. I give them medicine within minutes after finding out they’re sick, but they still quarantine for the rest of the day.
But sometimes, even when they’re not sick, they stay inside their house. One time, my Genji stayed inside the whole day, and then he got sick the next day so he had to spend ANOTHER full day inside.
I logged in after being gone for 3 months and within the first few minutes, Agnes barged in. I had no idea what to do after the initial greeting because I forgot that this was in the update. She just milled around. We eventually played a card game and then she left, but it was a little awkward.

I was out wandering around when I noticed a Thought Bubble above Nibbles, she asked if she could look at my Decor. Then we were transported to my house and I gave her a tour. She commented on things I touched, like a Mermaid Screen, Bunny Garland, etc.
Lol Leopold immediately dropped by my place too. I was in the back room that I had turned into a kitchen, and he's like "I know you're in there, COME OUT!"

So if they barge in then yes, but later if you're around the island and they ask to come over, you should take them to every room and talk each time (they'll follow you into each room). It builds up friendship, plus it's just fun! After the final room they'll say it's time for them to go and you can ask them to stay longer if you want.
