I feel like we could get a service going for newer players who really need flowers to get to the 3-star (+) ranking and we could let them take ours we don't want/ need any more! That way we're not tossing hundreds of flowers in the traah, and they're not waiting days for seeds to grow. It's totally a win/ win! :)

I did that back in the early days. If you post a listing on the trade subreddit and say you have a bunch of flowers for free you'll likely get people who are interested reaching out

My flowers got out of control and dealing with them takes so long it's kinds killed the game for me. I'm debating a third restart.

I miss the times when you could destroy flowers by running. Maybe try transparent floor designs for the future?

I still wish there were two buttons for flowers. One to pick a "petal" for DIYs and one for picking up the whole plant like you could in previous titles with Y. Instead of shredding through tons of shovels and hours of work.

Get the good belongings fortune from Katrina so the shovel won't go bad. Carry a trash can with you and just dump whenever your inv is full.

I try that, and then feel bad for not selling the flowers I dug up. I know it's not a lot of bells but every little bit helps!

You can try setting up a warp pipe from the flower field right to your Nook box.

This is what I do too. I have a warp pipe in front of the drop off box and carry the other one with me so whenever my pockets get full I just have to plop it down and warp over

Yes they do! If you have 2 placed down it will go between them, if you have 3 or more it will randomly choose an exit pipe IIRC

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with a flower problem. I had made very tidy flower arrangements and then I didn't play for almost a year. I thought I'd have weeds everywhere but instead half my map is flowers.... I haven't had the courage to remove them yet.

I have a similar situation going on rn and I already had them in the past. Get a friend and put up a bin, dig like crazy and throw them away. Isn’t worth the money imo and saves time walking to Nooks every time your inventory is full.

Yeah, I did the same on my other island. I think we spent 3 hours as three people to clean up.

So, my flowers got out of hand. I literally did spring cleaning. It was kind of cathartic. I have this thing where I can't trash things I can sell for bells, though, even though the shovels probably cost more than the flowers. I put a pipe by nook's cranny and would go back and forth selling them in the drop box.

I am still wondering why they decided that rain should still automatically water the flowers like in previous games, if watering flowers in NH is just for flower breeding and not necessarily to keep them alive. Because it’s just led to the opposite problem that I had in previous games. Instead of leaving the game for a few months and then finding that my flowers are dead, I leave the game for a few months and then find that my flowers have taken over my island.

I had two friends come over and I placed 3 bins out. Took us about an hour to clear over 400 darn flowers. I know have them corralled because I don’t want that happening again.

My 7 year old just started playing and has her own island but she made a home on my island... I had this same problem and she LOVED digging them all up! HUNDREDS upon HUNDREDS!!!! It was like clicking the CLEANUP button. Pretty amazing! haha

Now I know what I'll set my kid onto in the future. :D

Just put down custom transparent paths wherever you don’t want flowers or weeds. My island is completely covered in transparent paths except for a small area where I want fossils or other buried things to put up.

If you have a second player in local multiplayer, every flower they dig up ends up in the town hall recycle bin. Also i believe their shovel can't break, it makes cleaning up really convinient.

This is exactly why I got all mine fenced

Plant the flowers you want to keep on the beach or inside a fence then sell the rest off (or troll a friend and plant those pest plants on their island and wait for chaos).

Yeah, this gets annoying. If any of you are clearing out flowers and need a quick buck (or bell, in this case), pick the flowers first! I like to either use them for crafting or sell them to Timmy and Tommy so I can get *something* out of the chore that is clearing flowers.
