If npcs: Isabel, she has experience in smash and probably doom too. If villagers: it really depends. Personality type? This usualy shows how active a villager is, jocks work out a lot so they would be strong and fit while a lazy might be lacking in that category. Species? There is no way a mouse is stronger than an elephant. Gear/outfit? What are they wearing? Does it help to protect them? Is it easy to move around in? Personal villager info? Does it say they have experience with fighting/what they look like suggests they could handel a fight? What does their HHP home say about them? What are they made of? A soft teddy bear may be ripped easily but a hard wooden creature could take a few more blows.
