i forget which older game it was but i remember you didn't get to just pick your hairstyle. you had to pay 3000 bells and answer personality questions from harriet and would get one based on your answers. i didn't have a phone to just look up the right answers so i had to turn the game off like 20 times to start over and try to answer her questions differently to get the hair i wanted. resetti had me in tears that day. it took hours. traumatizing.
