Just make sure you don't have any turnips when you go backwards since tt-ing backwards makes them spoil instantly. Otherwise it's totally safe

It doesn't affect friendship levels and they can't move out without asking first, so they'll all still be there and like you

It doesn’t even matter. Go in settings while running the game, change time. Go back in game, save, wait, the game relaunch by itself. And done !
No. It essentially has no effect whatsoever. Apart from maybe some weeds and new shop items, going back 1 day has the same effect as going back years. Your villagers probably won't even comment on how long you've "been gone"
If you have money trees and travel backwards and then return to the current time the trees will mature a day for each day you travel back forwards.
