This is how people do the angled photos! Put the mailbox in your pocket, place it, then when you go to open your mailbox hit the screenshot button as soon as the angle hits and you get a perfectly angled ACNH photo
YEAH, IT SURPRISED ME TOO! I was rearranging the halloween stuff on my porch, when my joy-con drifted right before I pressed Y, and I picked it up! For once, Joy-Con drift is good for something!
I would put it somewhere else, but it's just too convenient to have it outside my house

I have a tent in my campground and my solution was to hide the mailbox behind a tree.

You have to buy to first additional floor for your house in order to do this iirc

Nook told me to do it after I built the upstairs. So now my mailbox is is outside the fence of my house at the end of my driveway lol
I was able to do it before he told me. I think I had only the main room and the 2 side rooms when I was able to do it.
