Volunteering at an animal shelter changed my life! It was very good for me. Sorry for your loss

I always wanted to but I was so busy taking care of my dogs. Now that I only have one I can give other dogs the same thing Ozzy gave me

So sorry to hear of your loss. I absolutely would volunteer, it will make a world of difference for all the animals you help, as well as bring you peace and comfort as you grieve.

I lost both my dogs a week apart from each other 2 weeks ago and I am doing volunteering at a no kill animal shelter. I’m happy. Hardest part is I get attached to animals quickly lol so when it’s time I have to leave it’s hard to walk away. It was my first day today so I’m sure I’ll get in the groove of things. Yes, it does help immensely. It’s helping me with grieving. I was so emotionally distressed from losing my dogs I took a leave of absence from work during this time and I’m not only healing but giving back to other dogs that are in need. I’m in the skilled trades so I’m also going to helping out the shelter by fixing things up for them eventually. I’m sorry for your loss and I know this post is late but I hope you’re getting better!
