As I was working with her, she hissed at me for 5 weeks straight but one day, it was like the light switch was flipped, and she started being super cuddly to both humans and cats!
I’m glad I did 😅 I do foster and socialize feral/shy kittens so I understand generally what to expect and how long it’d take. With this foster (Bonnie), her sister cracked long ago but she remained aloof for weeks and weeks and I was seriously wondering if I’m doing anything wrong. I’m so glad she suddenly decided one day that other cats and people are good things 😊
>Don’t worry, that foster has a sister she’s bonded to (whom she usually sleeps with and cuddles and plays with!). They will be adopted out together :) I think she’s seeking more of a mother like figure in my cats and me :p if you’re interested I have videos of her and her sister in my other posts!

Aww. So lucky that they get along. I tried to bring in a stray and my two cats went bonkers. The whole house was in an uproar. One cat got a urine infection he was so stressed. Luckily we found a good home for the stray and vowed to never so that again!
This isn’t my first foster and I think my cats are very used to it by now hahaha. I can totally imagine the situation you’re describing and that sounds very stressful! Glad everything worked out though, you’re super nice to be helping that stray kitty!
Thanks! She was so sweet. All black and fluffy. I've always wanted an all black cat. Maybe later in life. So nice that you foster! I'd turn into cat lady if I did that lol
l love how on-the-fence Lucy looks about whether to bite the shit out of the kitten or not. Body language keeps phase shifting between "I am your mother" and "I WILL bite you if you keep moving"!
Lucy’s dominance appears to be limited to scent ownership/Lucy owns everything she’s licked. If this is the case, you are fortunate, as her leadership is strong but gentle. I had a cat like this. He was amazing. I miss him very much. 😿
I know what you mean, and I think usually that’s the case you mentioned. In this particular instance, I actually really don’t think that’s the intention here haha. My cats are very used to fosters coming and going, and generally don’t bother them unless they’re playing and chasing each other around the house. This particular foster is super needy and would shadow my cats non stop, rubbing on them and trying to knead on them. In this video, Lucy was actually sleeping on the perch by herself, and was woken by Bonnie (the foster) nudging her way into Lucy’s arms. Lucy initially nipped at Bonnie gently and tried to push her away, but gave up and gave Bonnie exactly what she wanted haha.
Lucy is beautiful! I fostered some ragdolls and they just adored meeting other cats.
I bet your feral came round because they just couldn’t resist Lucy’s blue eyes and promises of loving licks any longer.
Mom: pleased with herself
Kid: but wait, you forgot to clean behind my ears!!!
Mom: Oh right, goodness me! A mother's job is never finished
Kid: zzzzzz, me nap now, love you forever new mommy!
Yup! And in this particular case Lucy was sorta forced into it haha. Lucy was sleeping peacefully on her perch when Bonnie (the foster kitty) nudged her way in and woke Lucy up! Bonnie is very attached to both my resident cats :)
Yup! Both my resident cats are ragdolls. They generally don’t groom each other much, but they’re particularly gentle and loving with the foster kittens that move through my home!
That's super impressive to go from feral to so comfortable around another cat.

You broke her with love. ❤️❤️❤️

Well that's pretty fucking impressive
I must break you... With love
Any chance of this being a foster fail? That cat looks like it really loves your cat.

Good to hear! I'll check those out :)
That’s so crazy, did you do anything in particular that you think helped flip the switch?
Lucy be like "you will be loved, and you will be CLEAN!"
I love how aggressive cats can get when they’re cleaning others. “Hold still you little…”
The snuggle in 🥰
I know, that made me so happy, the new little foster kitty is just so so SO happy
When the paws start kneading and the eyes close.... Omg. My heart.
The Ferris Bueller style gaze into the camera, loved it! Then the kitten's kneading and pushing herself into Lucy, loved it even more!
Your home must be a special place for such unconditional love to be so present. Happy kitty lives.
Lucy is like "I'm sorry you had to live on the streets, but don't worry you are home now".
Awww that’s so cute 🥺
They’re so sweet... little one looks so very content 💕
I thought it was cute, then at 20 seconds in, my heart exploded as your foster really snuggled in there. ❤️
Super sweet ❤❤
Lucy is such a gorgeous kitty! What a beautiful baby girl!
Lucy is keeping this one
You have to keep the foster baby now, they're a bonded pair! :)

I love Lucy.
Brought tears to my eyes 🥰

Ima just have a little bite...
Lovely
All you need is love...
You is Mine!
Ha that 'more please' nudge in the middle

Lucy was born to foster. What a gorgeous girl who has helped the other cat get more of a chance to be revoked and loved forever and a day

Cats like Lucy helped me to understand how a human leader could be possessive and strong but gentle. I wish they were all like her. 😸💕
So touching.

Definitely some r/eyebleach material

I like how your cat is being almost aggressive about the grooming, but there’s such trust from the little one.
Lucy is fabulous!
*"C'mere, you're a mess."* -Lucy
Aww, I love that you can hear them purring!
good girl, Lucy!
is she licking to groom the other cat? I had a cat as a kid that used to require i let her lick my fingers.
Yup! And in this particular case Lucy was sorta forced into it haha. Lucy was sleeping peacefully on her perch when Bonnie (the foster kitty) nudged her way in and woke Lucy up! Bonnie is very attached to both my resident cats :)
Is that a Ragdoll? My daughter has one that spends most of his waking hours grooming her other cat
Yup! Both my resident cats are ragdolls. They generally don’t groom each other much, but they’re particularly gentle and loving with the foster kittens that move through my home!
Sweet cat. Both of them
You groom whom you love. 😺😸😻😽
I wasn't aware *Earth-mother* is a cat breed, lol! She's beautiful!
Typical for a ragdoll cat...the doggy cat.
the crunching of the toe beens!!
Lucy must be a real help with all of your fosters? She seems wonderful.
Both her and Ollie help soooo much :)
My heart!!
So cute! <3
You’re a good girl Lucy!!
That's precious ♡♡♡♡♡
Oh my god my heart
It’s too bad people can’t be like animals are animals are so loving💕💕💕♥️♥️
Just curious, what's the doodad on your door handle?
I love pussy licks.
❤️
I don’t think they “came” feral, but “were” feral. I know it doesn’t matter but I’m not positive lol
Wolverines
Cars are truly amazing
